On the heels of Alley's Gay Sheep Story, uh I have to read for you very quickly a text that came in. Now they're listed as a guest. It's not I I can't give you your proper shout out of your digits or uh whatever. So get in that app and register yourself so that you it takes two seconds to do and then you're in. But they said we had a dog uh that did that. You were talking about Ump and the Lake, uh that did that after a bath, and only to my husband.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, your husband must be a little snack.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, little Mississippi leghound.

SPEAKER_00

This is after we told you about this guy who saved the gay sheep from being slaughtered. And we were discussing, well, what makes the sheep.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, whatever makes your Saturday night sound good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, right? Things that are things that sound gay that aren't. I have one for you. So just recently it was raining. It's supposed to rain today, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, a little bit later.

SPEAKER_00

So there was a situation where I was with multiple men, and one of them may have been a coworker, and one of them may have not been a coworker. And neither of them would carry an umbrella, and they were like, hmm, not uh not for me.

SPEAKER_01

For men, we can get wet.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, I think that they were like, uh if it's a steady downpour, you run to your destination. Sounds gay, but not.

SPEAKER_01

I guess.

SPEAKER_00

I know. Would you carry an umbrella? Or no?

SPEAKER_01

You're not- of course, because well, why? Because it's I'm not rugged. Oh, that too. Look at these hands. There's not a callus anywhere. If you didn't have kids, let's say you and I No, I've I've had to do the run. Sometimes I don't have the umbrella. And I mean, if there's no kids around that I have to, you know, like, you know, more so Lydia and well, you ain't given to. Uh, but uh, if there was no kids, I would just run to wherever I have to be. I'm like, ah, screw the umbrella.

SPEAKER_00

But it's sometimes it's raining so much. Yeah. Because I I was like, you guys, do you want do you want an umbrella? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

The only way to do it is you give not gonna melt, Allie.

SPEAKER_00

I'm I'm at my house. I've got three umbrellas for the ready. You guys want to have an umbrella? No.

SPEAKER_01

You don't need one, no. Don't umbrella me. No, that's right.

SPEAKER_00

Excuse me, I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_01

You all gotta watch your hair and all that stuff, you know. Uh whatever.

SPEAKER_00

And you're like, I'm just gonna walk through the rain. I'm like, you're gonna be cold and wet.

SPEAKER_01

Be alright.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh. See, I'm you're proving my point. We're dry. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

How does that sound gay? I sound rugged. I mean, not that you can't be ruggedly gay.

SPEAKER_00

Those are called bears. That that would be yes, they are. That would be if you were carrying an umbrella.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that would make me gay.

SPEAKER_00

Sounds gay, but not. Not okay, got it. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Switching gears totally. Can I can I uh I have to share this with you because this is gonna make you feel old, but it ain't old. What? So the other day we're driving in the car. Gavin was uh uh he was telling me about a song that he likes. Because you know, kids discover music usually from a game. Yes, honest to God, this is how they find it.

SPEAKER_00

Like it's on a game or or um if it's uh Remember Rihanna's uh was it Panda Replay that was really big with the the toilet? What was the toilet that talked?

SPEAKER_01

Uh Skibbity?

SPEAKER_00

Skibity Toilet, thank you. Oh Skibity Toilet had put out an old Rihanna song that was in the like the Skibity world. Oh and I remember Gavin really liking this song. Right, right. It was an older song.

SPEAKER_01

They find they find songs like this. So he's explaining this to me, and he goes, Oh yeah, and I found it. He found the song while he was driving in the car.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, and it's by a group Gavin was driving at 12. Wow, that's amazing. He's good.

SPEAKER_01

Uh and he found it, and it was a group called Catfish. And he goes, and he says, he goes, apparently they got their name from some old show. And I'm like, Oh, the Catfished MTV. Yes. And I'm thinking to myself, okay, for you that's an old show. For anybody else that's listening, Catfished was like the biggest show. College show just prior to the pandemic, even. If you think about it, because it stayed alive. That was one of the shows that stuck around for a while on MTV. Which now MTV is gone. So uh, but I it when he said it, I was like, oh, your 12-year-old mind does not know. So here I am trying to explain to him what catfished was. And I'm like, what did you say?

SPEAKER_00

I would love to hear this explanation.

SPEAKER_01

I kind of went, I kind of said, okay, it's like if you're online and someone is talking to you, but they're telling you things that are not true. Very good. But you don't really know about it until well later you find out about it. And I'm like, because it's it's we all know what catfished is, don't we all know?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yeah. But try to explain that. Right, exactly. They're being putting on a fake personality.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and he even mentioned that. He goes, so they're faking to be someone else. I said, Yes, excellent way to look at it. But it stopped me in my tracks because I'm like, to me, catfished is not an old show. Like it's just not.

SPEAKER_00

No, I don't even know when it was out, but it was like it's one of the. It doesn't feel old though. Hold on a second.

SPEAKER_01

You know, there are certain old shows that feel old, you know, like Full House feels old.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I mean catfish doesn't feel old. First episode was 2012. Oh, that's not that long ago.

SPEAKER_00

No, how long it was.

SPEAKER_01

But Gavin was born in 2014. That show was actively on.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Not that he was watching it as a toddler. I skip right past Bluey and where it went right to catfished.

SPEAKER_00

Hold on a second. I'm trying to see how long it lasted.

SPEAKER_01

I think on and off. It was around for years.

SPEAKER_00

I think so too. Yeah. I I honestly don't. Oh, actually, it went through 2024. Okay. Wow, 12 years of that show?

SPEAKER_01

See, I don't think it was very commonly on, like it was intermittent. It would be here, you wouldn't see it for a while, then they'd have a special or something like that. But it was the weirdest thing that I'll that he's like, yeah, because it was all him saying their name they got from a show, some old show. And I'm like, Oh, it's not old. No, thanks.
