Now, I know you're gonna handle all the important uh stories in the big three here in just a few seconds.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna try.
SPEAKER_00I thought I'd share this one with you because also it deals with your hometown, but a suspect has been arrested uh in back-to-back blowgun shootings in Cleveland. Oh, jeez. Now, that's an odd uh weapon of choice. What's a blowgun? Okay, so you know the long tube. Uh and back okay, I'll describe it like this, because you're of the age you can remember like cartoons. Uh-huh. So can you imagine we're gonna go back to like Bugs Bunny or Saturday morning cartoons. And they'd be out in the jungle and they'd have this long, like stick-looking tube. Oh, okay. And they'd be sucking in air to go to blow through it and go and it would go at you. And then, like, you know, I don't know, Elmer Fudd would run up and be like, on the other end, and it would go, you know, hit you back in the throat. And that was the so a blowgun, that's a weird description, but it is what it is.
SPEAKER_01Nobody always would hit their butt, and do you remember they would like jump up in there and he'd be like, What would he say? Something Gamerga Troit or something like that. I and he would be like, oh, ho ho ho ho.
SPEAKER_00So it's odd because it's something more you'd see in like the Amazon jungle than Cleveland, but there are parts of that city that are like the Amazon jungle. So anyway, a man suspected of uh shooting two people in uh with a blowgun in back-to-back daylight attacks in the same Cleveland, Ohio neighborhood has been arrested. The 42-year-old suspect taken into custody. 42, and he's got what he get this at some flea market? Got a set of logs. I know, right? Yeah, where do you buy a blowgun?
SPEAKER_01Jamie's flea market. I guess that's a Cleveland reference.
SPEAKER_00That's um that's not for here. Either way. Uh anyway, the suspicion of felony assault following the two-day manhunt. The attacks happened around 4 p.m. Monday on the Clark Fulton neighborhood of uh West Cleveland. A 56-year-old woman said a man uh who uh she knew so close to downtown from the area first assaulted uh and uh struck her, then confronted her again at a family dollar. This is all coming together, parking lot, and uh and uh fired needles like darts at her uh at least five times. Man, this guy could reload pretty quick. Uh she had surgery to remove the uh darts uh that pierced her uh behind liver, believe it or not. Oh, geez. A short time later, a 40-year-old man was struck by a uh blow dart nearby. Probably because his aim was bad. And ran off before calling 911. Officers later spotted and arrested a suspect uh and recovered the uh blow dart gun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, if a guy's if a guy's carrying a blow dart gun, that's your guy.
SPEAKER_00It's an odd look or a walking stick.
SPEAKER_01By the way, the the phrase I was trying to look for whenever in Looney Tunes where they would get hit and then it would be in their bottom and then they would jump up. It was heavens to murder Troid. Oh. So I'm like, what? It's a whimsical mid-20th century American idiom used to express shock or surprise, utter bewilderment. This phrase is famously known as the signature catchphrase of the pink anamorphic mountain lion snaggle puss.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. Thank you very much for that. You're welcome. Hand me the blow gun. And three, two, one, you're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three.
SPEAKER_01The Corning Police Department is now participating in what's called the Blue Envelope Program. If you know somebody with autism and drives, you're gonna want to listen to this. It's an initiative designed to improve interactions between law enforcement and drivers with autism anywhere on the spectrum. This allows drivers with autism to store documents such as their license, registration, and proof of insurance in a distinctive blue envelope kept in their vehicle. The envelope will be a signal to cops. It's basically like, hey, you know, we know that this interaction might be a little bit different. If you need an envelope. Interesting. I know. If you need an envelope, please contact the Corning PD. I think you know where they are, right off of Denison Parkway on NASA Civics.
SPEAKER_00If not, just go buy them at about 60, they'll find you.
SPEAKER_01Also, if you want to pay my parking ticket while you're there, you can. Oh. Still haven't paid that thing.
SPEAKER_00Dude, that just keeps going off.
SPEAKER_01It's 20 bucks now. It's gonna be, yeah. It's gonna be 25 soon. Until they tell me. I'm just kidding. And a Binghamton man is charged with a hate crime after police said he made threatening social media comments towards New York State Senator Leah Webb. James Crosby commented on a local news story post on Facebook that had Webb at a Juneteenth event. They ended up arresting Crosby, and he's charged with making a terroristic threat as a hate crime. I think people f forget like you can't just be a keyboard warrior and get to say whatever you want behind the keyboard. Yeah, go get a blowgun. All right. And then twin earthquakes struck Venezuela. The first quake with a magnitude of 7.2 occurred around six o'clock yesterday, followed by a second one, 7.5, less than a minute later. The second earthquake was the country's largest since 1900. And there is the big three.
