Hi, Allie's automatically on the rude department on this, but I I set this up for you because on this weekend I found out that we're supposed to I assume I'm invited. Maybe after this conversation, it's an uninvite.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I love that the I assume I'm invited. Like why wouldn't you be?

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. So uh Tiffany tells me, she goes, Yeah, I'm going because I I actually asked her. I said, I haven't heard anything about what's going on for the fourth. Like, are we are we doing everything? I honestly was gonna sand my kitchen floors, but now that it's gonna be 99 degrees, that's 99 problems I don't want right now. I mean, that's I might have to wait a week for the heat dome to go away. You know, I know that sounds like Scott sounds like he's making an excuse. Do you want to sand a floor at 99 degree temperature?

SPEAKER_01

No, especially because I'd asked you so, in all disclosure, Scott sanded a floor for me at a previous house, and I didn't didn't remember how this worked. I said, Do you got to open up the doors and the windows? He goes, Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So once you start ripping down polyurethane, unless you want to be high as a kite.

SPEAKER_01

Right. So now that I know that, do not sand your floors.

SPEAKER_00

I know. I think I'm gonna have to wait a week. Which takes us back to are we doing, you know, a get-together somewhere for the family? We've been out before to 4th of July in Hornell. They do a good party, don't get me wrong. I'm sure.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, especially because you bring all the food.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. And personality. And I have made, yeah, and I've said, I've said, um, you know, if we're gonna do cookouts, I'd prefer to do them at our house. We have all the tools. Right, exactly. All the tools and all the toys.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I hate that. And then uh, but then it became well, the real catch here is her grandparents are in their early to mid-90s. You're not gonna drag them from Hornell to West Elmyra. It's just not gonna happen. So, okay, are we gonna do this over there? And I I bring up the question are we are we grilling? Are we cooking? Are we doing what are we doing? You don't order a pizza on 4th of July, right? Right.

SPEAKER_01

So she's a hot dog hamburger kind of day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we goes, she goes, we could do like hot dogs and hamburgers and that. And then in my back in my head, I I'm almost at the point because we're about a week and a half away where if I eat one more hot dog, I probably will explode a pack of salins. Uh so uh I said, I'm thinking to myself, well, what if I bring a steak? Rude. And I'm eating the steak, but everybody else has their hot dogs and hamburgers. Now keep in mind, I've traveled, we've probably supplied both hot dogs and hamburgers for everybody, as well as I'm gonna be cooking it.

SPEAKER_01

So you're basically like, I do what I want.

SPEAKER_00

That's I mean, is it rude? I mean, is it really bad? And I appreciate the support here from 2054.

SPEAKER_01

They said, I don't think Scott bringing a steak is rude. Everyone has dietary restrictions.

SPEAKER_00

That's mine. No different than I'm almost at my hot dog limit.

SPEAKER_01

No different than a vegetarian bringing some tofu because they can't have hot dogs or hamburgers.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. What's the difference? If you're vegan, if you're vegan and you decide to bring your vegan lasagna, whatever the hell that's like, uh, you know, then what's the difference? My dietary restriction is I've reached my sausage intake for the first two quarters of 2026.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think any of Tiffany's family would even ask you about it? Or do you think that they are going to secretly just be judging you after you leave? Oh, I'm sure anybody would judge. Exactly. Are you okay with this judgment?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, you know, that's what you have to live with. I come back.

SPEAKER_01

A full belly and judgment.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, but I but I come back to the fact you're right. What is the difference between a di I mean, all right, technically I don't have a dietary restriction. Right.

SPEAKER_01

That's an interesting perspective, but I also I think it makes you seem a little elitist.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I've done everything. I've traveled the hour and I have to travel an hour home.

SPEAKER_01

I brought the broccoli salad, I brought the potato salad, I brought the potato. Including my meat. Then you know what?

SPEAKER_00

That's a steak, not a joke.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Go ahead and eat the steak. But I personally could not live with the judgment because I don't know how they feel about you right now, but I don't, especially when it comes to the in-laws, you don't want to be in bad graces with them. Yeah, but I'm also at the point, I'm starting to get to the age I don't care. Fine. Then go ahead, but they're not gonna like you anymore. I can't live that way. Why? Because I'm a people pleaser.

SPEAKER_00

You know what? Stand by for just a minute. Hold on a second. Let me bring this into it. From 4958. Now listen, everyone. Oh, I love when it starts with a now listen, everyone. Listen, everyone was hard on Allie when she admitted that she had salmon and made Zach eat hot dogs. So how can we justify Scott taking a steak? Get up, Allie.
