Back to the the five year old getting the plastic surgery, getting their ears pinned. Yes. Because they've got these really I mean, to be honest with you, I now I feel bad saying this, but they have dumbo ears.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, they're I mean you're describing it the way it yeah, they're they're they're sticker outers.
SPEAKER_02Right, exactly. So there's a surgical procedure where it gets them closer to their head, and I said, yes. As somebody who got picked on for being a chunky little kid, the the other kids are relentless. So here's some of your responses on our app. What if Dumbo's ears were pinned back? Thank you. Also, a science teacher. I love that. We had a science teacher that had big ears and we called him Mr. Radar. So now that goes really in the face of what Scott was saying, which was, oh, you grow into your ears.
SPEAKER_00Well, I thought maybe, you know, do you want to wait a little bit so that, you know, you can wait and see what their body's gonna do, you know?
SPEAKER_02Because in the beginning Oh, after they've already had all the torturous events of their childhood, but you know what doesn't kill them makes them stronger.
SPEAKER_00But the decisions you make today at five can really I mean, what if what if it sucks in hard? Like, you know, when they're 17 and now you look the opposite. You're like, wow, what kind of freak are you?
SPEAKER_02Your head is very your head is very hard. I don't think they're gonna suck into your body.
SPEAKER_00I know this might shock you. Well, yeah, but you're you grow into it. You know what I mean? Like all of a sudden it's more pressed against the side of your your skull than you than a normal person.
SPEAKER_02Would rather have that than have dumbo ears. Okay. Then we have 3660, dumbo ears never normalize after teenagers. Oh my god. And then it depends on the amount they stick out. Yes, kids growing will affect how he looks and growing the hair a bit to cover it too.
SPEAKER_00But you know, what if you're bald like Scott? Okay, but nobody and I have big ears, but nobody has said whether they're for it or not. You say you're for it. I say no. You need this is not a critical surgery like you know, that thing with the lip where it's like the the cleft cleft palette. Uh you know, I mean that's uh that's different. Or okay, this is I haven't I from my previo my my one and only marriage, I jokingly call it, uh, my nephew has, you know, where the two middle fingers are fused and he's got the you know So he can live long and prosper all day long. No, those are the two fingers separated.
SPEAKER_01He's got the uh so he can never live long and prosper. No, he never will.
SPEAKER_00Now, if you said, okay, we're gonna go try to do a surgery for that, that's different. And a lot of people have stuff like that. What?
SPEAKER_02His his fingers are still fused?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh, he's it looks just like I'm showing Allie where my middle finger and the one and my ring finger are together.
SPEAKER_02He can never, he can never do the shocker. Things he never thought I would really book that surgery. Three, two, one.
SPEAKER_00You're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three. I want you to think about that for a minute, though. That's okay.
SPEAKER_02With your big ears, I'm so glad that uh you wear a headphones. You know what they say?
SPEAKER_00Big ears equal uh the big three.
SPEAKER_02Big earmuffs. Yes, big ear muffs. Graham Plattner dropped out of the Maine Senate race, and I mean the state of Maine, and also denying sexual assault allegations. So the Democratic Hopeful posted a video to his ex account in which he said the move was most certainly not an admission of guilt, but a necessary step because the quote political establishment was using the allegations to put structural pressure on us. State election rules specify that Platinum would need to drop out by July 13th for the the state's Democratic Party to replace him. And Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir has asked Senator Mitch McConnell, please release details about your health after being hospitalized since June 14th. Bashir wrote that Kentuckians, quote, have grown increasingly concerned about your well-being and ability to serve. He's 84. Nothing's been confirmed, and updates are pretty limited on why he's in the hospital. A federal judge has ruled that writer E. Jean Carroll may collect $5.8 million awarded after a jury found former President Trump sexually abused and defamed her. Trump's attorneys immediately appealed the decision to halt payment as Judge Lewis A. Kaplan authorized their release after the Supreme Court let the 2023 verdict stand. The original 5 million award increased with interest. That's why it's 5.8, just so you know. Anyway, there's the big three.
SPEAKER_00Uh wrapping this thing up, because I did want to just read the last texts that came in. Uh my Mike said, and this one, I struggle with this. Typical boomer mentality. Keep your flaws so we have something to pick on. Can I just say we have, I'm not a boomer, I'm a Gen Xer, the best generation.
SPEAKER_02Um we've already learned that this week.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So, I mean, I I get a little bit of influence from Boomer, but I also get the other side of it, just like you do. You're an elder millennial. I love saying that, elder millennial. So you get influence from the boomer, from the uh Gen Xers and so on. Here's the thing about it is we have wimped out society to the point. If we're gonna go here, Mike, we've wimped out society to the point. Uh, if anybody decided to invade us, I have no hope unless I live in Pennsylvania and y'all can bring your redneck rifles.
SPEAKER_02Can we stand task?
SPEAKER_00Because what I'm saying is, is sometimes a little making fun of builds up that character. Okay. Not boom, not necessarily bullying. I'm just saying, you know, a little teasing goes a long way.
SPEAKER_02Relentless teasing can go too far.
SPEAKER_00Relentless becomes bullying. I'm saying a little, you know.
SPEAKER_022457, my sister's ears were pinned back. Ha, this is the one I was looking for. Best decision my mom ever made for her. Who wants to look like Dumbo all their life in the world of meanies? Then we have this one. Good everyone. Absolutely not on a child that young on a child that young. Let them grow and see what happens. Have a great day. Thank you so much. 97.
SPEAKER_00I agree with a little bit of a weight as opposed to just five.
SPEAKER_02You think that the child should make the decision then? No, no.
SPEAKER_00I just I think it may well, maybe you could talk to them about it, you know, and find out a little bit more. Because at five, what do they want to do? They want to do what they want to do. They're not gonna be like, let's sit down and talk about your ears than having them pinned back.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's exactly that's exactly what they would do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the kid's not gonna be like, Oh, okay, let's have that conversation.
SPEAKER_02Tyler, do you want to not have dumbo ears anymore? Yeah. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Do you want to have surgery?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00You know, it's it's just gonna go on. No.
