SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_00

Oh, 32.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_01

Well, okay, I do have a little bit of a.

SPEAKER_00

Well, they're not surprises. I know Paramount Plus comes out every month. I never know when, but all of a sudden I'll wake up, I'll be like, oh God.

SPEAKER_01

Mine is mine is uh Apple. I have no clue when because I have a couple things on Apple. It might be like I've got my I know I have like the Apple, Apple, but then I have something that's 99 cents, and I don't know what the heck I'm paying for every single month.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know what that is either. It might be I mean I have Apple care like on a couple things.

SPEAKER_01

No, I think it's my how I log my food. I think it's that, but I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Kind of makes me want to go find one of those apps, what is it, Rocket Money or whatever that you know cancels your subscriptions where you're like using that?

SPEAKER_01

Thank you, but then you have to pay them to cancel. Oh, that's true. That seems a little silly. But anyway, anyway, 250 bucks. Here's how you get it. You download either the Wink 106 app, the Twin Tears Magic app, or the My Radio Jams. So that's J-A-M-Z. Download one of those three and then click on where you're gonna see Red, White, and Wind win $250. And all you have to do is, well, register first. Yeah. Click to participate, and every single day, even Saturdays and Sundays, you can hit that button every day. Yes. And the fact that you can you might be getting contact. Okay, we won't call you on a Sunday, I promise. We'll actually call you on the following Monday. But it's kind of cool. You get picked on the weekends for winning $250.

SPEAKER_00

So this is all on you. If you want $250, get to it. Go click, click on that on one of the apps and you'll be all set.

SPEAKER_01

Back end of the month to win.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, now um I wanna I wanna how do I wanna say this? I don't want to, I don't want to dog necessarily the inexperienced here. Uh, you know, because I when you hear this story, it's real easy to just point a finger and be like lazy employees, or you know, what is it? I don't know the answer to this, so I'm gonna I'm gonna say it like this. I believe management needs to take better hold of a situation. And I'm gonna call out a place specifically because this is not the first time something like this has happened, but this is the first time this happened to me, and I was more than put off last night, stopped short of demanding to talk to the manager at the drive-thru at the Chambers Road McDonald's.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, yes, I've called you out, and here's why. Okay. So yesterday it is 455. Now, you're not quite to the full dinner rush. I mean, let's put it this way. But we're creeping up on it. When I pulled in, okay, uh two examples. Uh, last Friday, Tiffany was working at 12 hours, so that means she'd go till 7 and uh it was packed at the drive-thru. But that's a Friday night. I also expect that. Last night was Monday night. It's usually a quieter night. It just was. So I pull up and there was one car doing their order. This is the again, death to the double lane McDonald's ordering. This is the this is the Antichrist of ordering. So she's been mentioning to me they've only had one window open recently in the morning. She goes, it's really hindering things because usually you get somebody that takes the money at this one, pull forward, it keeps this thing moving. Yeah. My answer to that is, yeah, okay. Well, they can't get somebody else to work. That's the problem. Right. Now, here it is, 4 55 in the afternoon yesterday. And uh it's the two lanes. I'm on the outer lane because there was already a vehicle that was uh doing their order on the inner lane, and there was a truck waiting on the outer lane. So I'm like, all right, I'm number two in line. All right, truck's waiting. Here comes another car into the inner lane, does its order and pulls forward. Finally, the truck gets its order. So now it's my turn. Now I see another car pull into the inner lane, does a full order, and the lady comes on, uh young, young sounding voice goes, I'll be with you in just a minute. And I'm like, Okay, no problem. Figuring I'm next. Because this should be an alternating scenario. It's like a zipper. Yes, if you're on the inner, you get your order, then I get the outer order, then back forth, backforth. Okay, so that car goes, I'm still sitting there. All I wanted was three di cokes. Oh no. All right, still sitting there. Here comes another car in the inner, does its full order. I'm like, oh no.

unknown

Huh.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, and I did this. You I was audible enough to be like, huh. Okay, so there's that. I'm sitting there.

SPEAKER_01

I might have been the hello? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it's coming. Okay. Now the third car comes into the inner and uh it does its order and pull suit.

SPEAKER_01

Your blood is boiling, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00

So at this point now I had two options go around the entire building and pull back into the inner, or just keep sitting there. So I decided it's time for passive aggressive Scott. So I'm like, well, that's three cars that did their order on the inner, and I'm still out here on the outer. And you hear, we'll be with you in a minute, sir. So I'm like, now you've pissed me off. Uh-huh. Here comes the fourth car. Does its order on the inner. Now they're just trying to get you back. Now I sit there, I'm like, that's four, and I do it like that. That's four. I'm sorry, we'll be right there. So a couple minutes later. Then, same voice, now all bright and bubbly. Hi, can we take your order, please? I'm like, yeah, I'll have three large Diet Cokes, a four-piece McNugget, and a McDouble. All right, let's go here. So let's go here. Here's my question. I don't know if this is piss poor management telling them what to do and how to do it. I don't want to hear there was a technical problem. Here, why there was not a technical problem? Because they were able to direct me to say, we'll be with you soon, or we'll be with you in a minute. You know, we'll be able to so you didn't have a technical problem. Why did you not have the zipper working? Because now all I want to do is get a bulldozer and rip down your second lane and be like, go back to the one lane. Can we please? God. So there's that. And two, why didn't you give me something for that? Because when I got up to the window and uh, you know, now mind you, the guy at the window, he was super nice. I mean, he was just like, hey, three diet cokes right now. It's like bang, bang, bang, you know, it was great. I'm sure. That didn't make up for it, though. I sat there for almost 15 minutes to just place the order for three Diet Cokes. And four cars went on the inner lane. I hate using this. I hate using this term. Do better, McDonald's on Chambers Road. Do better. I want the manager's ass to give me something for this. I you should have given me my order for free and been like, we we really messed that up. Or a fry or something. It's a new girl. We're training her. Okay, at that point, you know what? If you're telling me that you're training her, you still give me the three Diet Cokes for free, but you say we're training her, we're doing that. Okay, I understand. Now you've got now you now that's going on. You allowed four cars. Well, I'm just sitting there, I'm like, all right.

SPEAKER_01

So I number one, I think they should get rid of the second lane. Sure. I've talked about that many a times. That is the easiest solution. No one understands it, no one likes it, and everyone gets mean in the two lanes. I've never seen more rude people than at and it's that's at any Mickey D's with a double lane. Pretty much. And you know what? The only people, and it's not the it's and people being rude are not just the customers, it is the people at the window who also are testy because everyone else is because they're getting it from elsewhere. Yes, exactly, exactly. Um, the other thing is, did they say we're sorry for your wait?

SPEAKER_00

Nope. The guy was all smiles, handed me the cokes.

SPEAKER_01

I mean Do they not know that you were waiting? Like, does the guy not know because you were talking to the girl? That's the part I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know how that whole process works behind the scenes, but somebody was not doing it. So where was the manager at that point? Were they just in their office picking their ass? I want to know what the deal was, why that happened were four cars. Uh-huh. And by the way, there were points there was nobody even in that lane as I was sitting waiting to place my order, and then somebody rolled in onto the street. Right, right, right.

SPEAKER_01

Like, are you kidding? It's like they forgot about you, or like, I don't know. But I don't I don't why is the drive-thru a mystery to me? It really is. 3660, dude, welcome to my life. It's always that way. Quit going there. That's the problem, though. But it's the only one. It's not not even just that, but it's also the most elite Diet Coke. So when your lady is working a 12-hour and she needs three elites, you do what you gotta do.

SPEAKER_00

You do what you do.

SPEAKER_01

It's like exactly four cars. Come on, I could see one. I could see two. I think you should have said something at the window. I think you should have said, you know, I waited for four cars. I've been waiting for 15 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

Because then Well, one guy, Tiffany told me the day before, it was the same a similar situation. I don't know about four cars going, but it was taking so long for them to take orders. One guy in a truck laid on his horn, just and I guess that sped it along a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

I I I'm just wondering because I'm not sure if the guy knows that you're waiting because you were talking to the girl. So that's where I think that you should have said something and said, I waited 15 minutes. Can I please at least go back to the street? Well, you're not gonna knock go. Let's be real.

SPEAKER_00

No, I probably am not because I'm a giant wimp. But I will find myself in that drive-thru again because it's right there across from Guthrie, and that's where I go to get her her stuff if she wants.

SPEAKER_01

And apparently, you always should at this point go for the inner lane.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was just thinking the inner lane's the way to go.

SPEAKER_01

And just get rid of the outer lane. Nobody wants the two lanes. Be with you soon, sir. When? Thursday?
