Let me hit two rather important things really quick here. Then I want to say hi to some friends that we have uh already joining in on the tax line. Uh-huh. Um there is a very good chance later today that we could see some pretty strong storms coming through, but this is like the only day for it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I know. It's so great. I mean all all week, even into the weekend, perfection. If you have any plans, which I know you do, because we got plans for you.
SPEAKER_01Well, we got a lot going on.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we do. But you don't have to worry about a dang thing, which is awesome.
SPEAKER_01Uh interestingly enough, one of the yeah, just be warned that later today could be the one thing, and then it'll uh it'll change up. Actually, wow. Tomorrow night we go down, wower, it's a wower, everybody. Uh tomorrow night we go down to 52. Open the window.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yes, turn that AC off. That way I can stop getting those stupid nice egg texts about using a lot of what I mean every single, every single week. You're really over your usage. Yeah. You can shut up.
SPEAKER_01That's like uh that's nice foreplay before they jam it to you. Um that's not foreplay. I know that's their way of doing it. And you know you've been with somebody that's been my way.
SPEAKER_00I don't want you to talk mean to me before the action. Come on.
SPEAKER_01Oh, come on, there's been that one Saturday.
SPEAKER_00All right.
SPEAKER_01Uh anyway, uh, so that's that. The second piece is, and it was funny, Jordan the producer, had mentioned this this morning before we got started. I was gonna mention this too. I saw it last night. We had talked a lot like uh yesterday, on and off, about how they're gonna be closing that bridge on County Route 64, kind of right past where you were turned to go up to Harris Hill. If you're coming from all the shopping, if you're coming from the corning building, you'd be you know, you'd be going well, you're not gonna be able to get that direction. You're gonna get rerouted. Okay. And we speculated yesterday that's a pretty heavily used artery. Like that's uh, you know, I it it you're out of the business district, but you're still a lot of people commute that to go either towards like big flats, corning. Yeah. And uh they said both on the news and he confirmed that a neighbor had said it's at least five weeks that it's gonna be closed, possibly longer. And if there's weather delays, because that can happen.
SPEAKER_00Why not?
SPEAKER_01So that is although not this week. Yeah, not this week. That is gonna be a bit of a headache for people. Just be prepared because again, big used road, even though it's only a couple lanes, it's a lot of people use it.
SPEAKER_00You'll have to take the highway. I know I do kind of like taking the back road sometimes. Like if I'm at TJ Maxx, I'm like, which way do I want to go home? Do I want to go the back way, hit up River Road, or what?
SPEAKER_01And sometimes it's just collecting your thoughts. Yes. Well, for me, it's the main cut-through to be able to go to Sam's TJ Maxx Target, all those places because I'm coming up 352 from West Elmyra. They haven't built the tunnel yet.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. Don't you wish they would?
SPEAKER_01Wouldn't that be nice?
SPEAKER_00I say the same thing about Seneca Lake. I wish they would build a bridge so I can get from one side of Seneca to the other without having to go all the way around. But, you know, hopes and dreams.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly. All right, over to this. Uh Betty's in. She gave us uh happy Tuesday. Good everyone. Uh let's see here. Um okay, let's see here. Then we come down to uh I call it a salad shooter.
SPEAKER_00I believe the cyclospora.
SPEAKER_01The cyclospora salad shooter. Oh, that's really funny. That's from 0042.
SPEAKER_00I saw at a at an estate sale over the weekend. What is the point of that?
SPEAKER_01This I don't know. I have one and I whip it out maybe three times. If I make a salad ten times, that comes out once. Well and what what what's the point of shooting it though? Oh, that's a salad shooter. I'm thinking the salad spinner.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's the other one. I saw that in estate sale as well. What's the purpose? So it used to be that you would wash the lettuce and then it would help dry it. But honestly It never worked. It wasn't. Exactly. It was way too wet. Yes. Um, good everyone, happy Tata Tuesday. Then we have Lauren in there, uh, Heather, which I'm ready. I'm ready to start this. Good everyone, happy Taco Tuesday. I have a very big birthday shout out. Dan the man is 60 today.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god!
SPEAKER_00And a one, a two, a one, two, three.
SPEAKER_01This is your birthday song!
SPEAKER_00It isn't very long. Dan!
SPEAKER_01Oh did you say Dan too, or did you go hey?
SPEAKER_00I said hey. Oh. But you know where that came from? That came from producer Quinn.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00And I saw him on Friday. Oh, he was at the Gus Macker, too. See, everybody was. You did. Oh, shoot, you did. Oh. But I did say to him, hey, Quinn, we're talking about doing a listener appreciation party in November. Let's uh get together. We would love to have you come back.
SPEAKER_01All part of the celebration of the 20th year of Scott and Alley.
SPEAKER_00Right. And he seemed like he was like really down for it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Quinn's good like that. I think he just didn't want to get up at four in the morning anymore.
SPEAKER_00Well, that, and I mean, he's got a really nice job right now.
SPEAKER_01Okay, there's that too. I mean, we can't really provide that.
SPEAKER_00He's the videographer for Juban County. So he's yeah, he kind of. Makes his own schedule, makes more money. Oh, God. Yeah. Screw off. I know, right?
SPEAKER_01All right, you need this. We've been talking, joking back and forth about the cyclospore. It's only a joke until you get it. Then you're like, I hate you all. I mean, I heard it is the worst. Researchers are working on an electronic nose to detect bad food in your fridge. I have seen you eat some questionable things over 20 years.
SPEAKER_00That's funny because I'm the one who cleans the fridge well at home, but also here at work.
SPEAKER_01And you have pushed your limits more than one time.
SPEAKER_00That's not okay. Yes, that's totally true. There is in a relationship. There's the person who will push the limit, and then there's the person who won't even go close to it.
SPEAKER_01Expiration date was today. Tiffany will push the limit. If the milk is four days over, she'll sniff it. She'll be like, it's still good. I'll drink it.
SPEAKER_00You know what? I've become and now in this relationship with my Zachary, that he's the one that pushes the limit, not me. Oh, you're backing off? Oh, yeah. He like the other day, he was eating salsa. So this is salsa that my aunt made when she was here. How many weeks was that three weeks ago?
SPEAKER_01Oh, close to a month now, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Still eating it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, well, there's spices in that. That one I feel you can push unless it starts to get the fuzz on top.
SPEAKER_00There's a oh my God. Is this cycle spora 2.0? He finally, after a couple bites, he goes, Okay, a little fermented.
SPEAKER_01Fermented. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I couldn't believe that he had to do it.
SPEAKER_01Zach, why are you hammered? I ate fermented salsa.
SPEAKER_00I know. That or he has the milk thing where I have to smell it every time. He's like, no, it's still good. It's got the damn like you still have to smell it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01They shouldn't, though, but. You shouldn't smell it? Well, until it's past a certain point because Oh no, I'm smelling it every day. Every day. Every day.
SPEAKER_00I don't want to I don't I don't want a chunky surprise.
SPEAKER_01How about the everything about this conversation? There's a different thing that's a trigger point.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01How about the package of hot dogs that you open from the ziploc in the fridge and you're like, okay.
SPEAKER_00All right. We need to talk about this because Zach's brother works for, I think he works for Cisco up in Buffalo. Yeah. He claims a Salin's hot dog can be on the shelf for like 500 days or something ridiculous like that. I said, no, it can't. No, I'm not. Not to be ingested by me. I've I've seen fuzzy hot dogs.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I think there's another trigger.
SPEAKER_00I think that it can sit on the shelf as long as it's not open.
SPEAKER_01But once I open it If it's been in the fridge for a little over a week, week and a half, let's say there's three left in there, but they're in the fridge in a Ziploc. Yeah. Oh, I gotta do a smell test. Oh, yeah, for sure. Oh, I gotta do a smell test. Yeah, I I'm not By the way, fuzzy hot dogs, also the name of my next garage band that's gonna do all music.
