I'm gonna let you take a little guess before I play this audio. There was a song that was on the Billboard 100 in 1995 and has just re-entered the Billboard 100 this many years later. And I can even I'll give you a hint, I'll tell you why. And maybe this will be a dead giveaway. Because of the FIFA World Cup fans.

SPEAKER_00

Can't be Marina.

SPEAKER_01

That's a great guess. No, it's this song.

SPEAKER_00

Wonder Wolf? Yep. I'm not surprised. Hyper European Oasis.

SPEAKER_01

Totally. They say this song belongs to the people. And it's a magical moment between the people and the players.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And now has totaled 1.5 billion official US streams during your playtime.

SPEAKER_00

Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you. It's just now you said it's a good idea. It is okay. In in the alt community, it's a uh classic anthem, if you will. In the European world, it is the national anthem.

SPEAKER_01

I think you're I hate to be mean, but grossly inaccurate on this.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, well, please do tell me how.

SPEAKER_01

I will tell you. It is like Oh good, I'm waiting. It is like Mr. Brightside. It is one of those older songs. I was uh I was bartending a wedding over the weekend, and I'm gonna tell you the top five songs that these 22-year-olds were scream singing. I'm ready. So it was Mr. Brightside, Abba of all things, really pit bull.

SPEAKER_00

Did did you get on the microphone with the DJ at that wedding and say, Have you been to Tags? Because he can't not bring this Abba action.

SPEAKER_01

But it was it was really interesting. Of course, they had like their they had their their songs that they loved, right? Yeah. But every single because a lot of them went to Penn State, so I think they like j they all just graduated. Because at one point they said, Okay, everybody who went to Penn State, please come on the dance floor. We're gonna take a picture of every everyone. And there was like 30 Penn Staters. Oh wow, yeah, it was a massive Penn State crowd.

SPEAKER_00

Well, college does bring out an interesting uh uh dynamic of music.

SPEAKER_01

Um sure, but I also think that and thank God, thank God, millennial millennials, you did a great job raising your children to enjoy really good music.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, I I don't Oasis though, it is in Europe like the national anthems of like five countries.

SPEAKER_01

For sure, for sure. But there's there is the this these 22-year-olds who uh just have they every single song. I was like, oh my god, I love this song. Oh my god, I love this song. So I'm like, I'm bartending, trying not to sing along, but why not?

SPEAKER_00

Maybe that would have gotten you some tips.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I doubt that. Anyway, uh, what'd you say?

SPEAKER_00

A podcast next week.

SPEAKER_01

Podcast next week. Listen to the Scott and Eli Not for your podcast. We'll cover that. Uh but but the other thing I want to cover too is Sephora rolling out quiet hours. This is and uh this is so funny. This happened during the pandemic. Shut up. You can shop with like rower music volumes, reduced sensory distractions, because it is very bright in there.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's like a spaceship. Every time I walk into Sephora, I thought I entered the bridge of the enterprise.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

I just beamed in.

SPEAKER_01

And a calmer atmosphere. Mm-hmm. They are gonna be on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the first hour of business. That means today. Oh, you can shop like this.

SPEAKER_00

That's great.

unknown

What color?

SPEAKER_00

I'm admittedly when I'm in uh when I'm in Sephora. Well, Sephora, no, it's more Alta that feels like the spaceship. They all do. Sephora, when you walk in, I know it's like in the heart of coals. Yeah. And ever every aisle always has every aisle always has like five or six girls in it doing what they know how to do, you know, pick the things they want. Here comes Scott fumbling in. Hi! I want Harry Carey. Hi! You got that Dolce and Kaburner perfume from a lady?

SPEAKER_01

I'm shocked with you, and I try to do it on a very limited basis.

SPEAKER_00

Oh shut up!

SPEAKER_01

Imagine being Tiffany every weekend.

SPEAKER_00

She won't take me to Vendor Fairs. She's like, I won't do it.

SPEAKER_01

I wouldn't either. I wouldn't even take you to Dollar General if I didn't have a.

SPEAKER_00

Shut up!
