So this is something. I want you to listen to this. Do you ever see uh this almost sounds like I'm gonna start telling a joke? You ever see a turtle crossing the road?

SPEAKER_04

No, I haven't. So there was a chicken over by Duncan.

SPEAKER_03

Actually, this is where where were you? Did you see that picture? I I no, I remember you telling me the story and they weren't sure. This is the Duncan right up the road here from us. And we weren't sure if it came from one of the houses across the street. It did. It was a neighbor. I thought it was people behind them because it was sort of foliage behind the drive-thru.

SPEAKER_04

Um I thought it was across because the the chicken literally crossed the road.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay, then that's what it was. Yeah, but um there it is. Um but anyway, this woman recently uh got a ticket for saving a turtle.

SPEAKER_00

So I pull over, I put my hazard lights on, my daughters get out, they grab the turtle and they hurry up and put it on the side of the road. I go to drive, and literally, where I showed y'all, that's where the police officer was sitting, he turned around and pulled me over. I'm thinking, oh, he's gonna like congratulate us, say, oh, you know, thanks for getting the turtle, something along those lines. But no, that's not what I got. License and what's the year of your Jeep? So I had asked him, I'm like, what am I being pulled over for? I I just need your license, and and that's all I need in the year of your Jeep. And then he came back up, gave me the ticket. Um, he was saying I was impeding traffic, although there was no traffic coming from either way. He was sitting there watching.

SPEAKER_04

Then why didn't he get out and help as far as, hey, let me throw on the lights so we can get this turtle on the side of the road.

SPEAKER_03

Sounds to me like he was having a bad day. Sounds like to me like she explains that to the judge, she might be alright.

SPEAKER_04

Sounds to me like he's trying to fill some quota or something.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, there is a little there are some questions.

SPEAKER_04

If there's no traffic and you see somebody in the road, you're just setting them up for a ticket? No. Go over and be like, ma'am, um, do you know here's a here's a way you can do it?

SPEAKER_03

She saw the kids, he saw the kids doing it too. Like they this was not, you know, you weren't doing a Chinese fire drill. Right. Which we can't call it that anymore, but you know.

SPEAKER_04

Also, why why didn't he say, especially when you see kids, let me help you in this situation?

SPEAKER_03

I don't have that answer.

SPEAKER_04

I hate when somebody's trying to they're trying to catch me in something that I don't know I'm doing wrong.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. Maybe he was just parked in a spot where he was like, well, nobody's coming and speeding, so I gotta give somebody something.

SPEAKER_04

That just pisses me up.

SPEAKER_03

Supervisor's gonna just not give me any uh props for today. Then I'm gonna come over here. We are very lucky right now. We are having a gorgeous stretch. Not real humid, not real hot.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, we should say it was chilly actually at the fireworks.

SPEAKER_03

We went through the heat. Yeah, the the evenings have been cool. This is not gonna last. You know we're getting warm again. That's coming. We went through the heat dome. It's in everybody's memory how staggeringly hot that was. Yeah. Well, right now, there are parts of the country that are still going through that. It just hasn't made its way back here yet, like this poor woman right here.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, how are you? Sweaty! Sweaty! Any point that you ask me how I'm doing, what I'm doing, where I'm doing it, I'm sweaty. I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty. I'm so tired of being sweaty. I'm post-part I'm in a sweaty! I got swoops, swass, swarm pit, sweat, I'm sweaty!

SPEAKER_03

How are you doing? That's all.

SPEAKER_04

Did she say swoops? Yeah, sweaty. Swoobs. I am totally stealing that. You're stealing swoops? Swoobs and swass.

SPEAKER_03

So when you get a real hot day and uh and you know things are not going right under the shirt, it's a swoop.

SPEAKER_04

Swoops, swoops, or under the undercarriage, the swass. The swass.

SPEAKER_01

It's summertime and there's a little problem you should know. There's reeky, stinky, sweaty people, all with bad BO. So please respect your neighbor when the Thames are rising quick. And do not leave your home without a spare deodorant stick.

SPEAKER_03

There you go.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, but it always melts in your car. Do you notice this?

SPEAKER_03

No, I don't carry deodorant with me. I always apply.

SPEAKER_04

I used to, of course I apply, but I used to always carry it in my gym bag, and I don't do that anymore because in this weather, nothing's surviving.

SPEAKER_03

It's a bunch of bowl of cream at this point instead of deodorant. Yeah, you you go to open it, it falls on the ground. You do.

SPEAKER_04

You go to open it, it falls on the ground, you're like, uh, okay, I guess we'll do this. Then you say a prayer.
