Okay, Finland's got this thing they started. Now watch out. Ideas start all over the place and then make it to different places. Um they're pink shopping baskets. So when you go to the store, now you know they're I'm gonna everybody's been to Wagmans. So think about this. You got the big cart, you got the little cart, which I always get the little cart because it makes me feel better, but then it's overflowing.

SPEAKER_00

I'm also a little little cart person too.

SPEAKER_01

Then you also have the ham baskets.

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes I do that.

SPEAKER_01

These are the ham baskets, and they're pink, and they're by design announcing to the world I am single here at the grocery store.

SPEAKER_00

Hit on me. Yes. Yes, start a conversation with me. You don't pick up the basket when you don't have time. That's not Scott's worried about the safety thing.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, I do have more of a vibe of the safety thing. I think that, yes, you can advertise you're single, but I also say there's a couple ways to do it. If you've decided to take an online dating approach, you have a level of uh security there for you because you can either stop a conversation, you can say, not interested in that person. I mean, I'm not sure. You can even report them. Yeah. There, so there are those things you can do. And next thing you know, I'm just worried somebody's following you all around the grocery store and not comfortably.

SPEAKER_00

And then they know your license plate number. Yes. 873921. Callie says, We'll never work here. It would end up with too much stocking. Yeah. Then this person, I like the idea.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you, Callie. I appreciate you understanding my point.

SPEAKER_00

3836, I like the idea of it, but it needs a colored cart where I just want to shop, don't bug me. Of course. That's the thing. The pink is just for the this scenario. You can have a brown one for everything else. Yeah, sure. Then this one came in that said, I would love this. It's so hard to meet a nice guy. Did the dating apps with no success. I think people who've done dating apps and they they have not had success. And I I mean, I've been down that road.

SPEAKER_01

That's why Oh, I'm not saying dating apps are perfect. In fact, they're far more flawed than bad than good.

SPEAKER_00

But that's why I'm open to this idea. Uh, although I'm not I'm not single. Here's one. Nope, nope, nope. Three nopes. I agree with Scott. It's too creepy. How do you know that guy that's grabbing the pink basket is actually really single?

unknown

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's that angle too.

SPEAKER_00

That's the same on dating apps, though, too. Anyway, they said, How do you know that he's not stalking single women? That's where my brain goes. I don't want some guy following me through the store, whether I'm single or not. And if uh and if single, I would probably grab the other basket and say, I'm not single. I guess I watch too many dateline crime shows.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, this is the part that really does concern me. And and because I I feel that we are in a society, I don't want everything to jump to the worst case scenario. But this one really feels like it opens the door, except for one location. I'll tell you in a minute.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, and then 3328, safety is a big thing. What if that creepy dude who is the one that's been following you through the grocery store, because I get that feeling while shopping alone, follows you to your car or even your house. But to be fair, I'm also the same girl who wouldn't pay to fix her RBF, so it makes less, so it makes me less approachable. It would be a nice idea. If again, if I didn't watch Investigation Discovery and listen to murder podcasts, that is a running theme with our listeners.

SPEAKER_01

We uh we call that educational uh programming, my friends.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it keeps you aware.

SPEAKER_01

Here's where it would work. And now we're not gonna do this at uh a Walmart.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I'm just telling you right now, these are the stories you're not gonna do this. Okay, you're not gonna do this at Walmart. I recommend you don't do this at Aldi. Okay. Okay. You could 1,000% do this at Trader Joe's. Okay, yes.

SPEAKER_00

You probably could do this at Wegman's and um well You're saying the basket idea in general.

SPEAKER_01

The basket idea in general. And if you're gonna do a tops, sure, I mean, if you're gonna do it at a Jubilee, frankly, that just dumped Elkor right into it. So you just you're gonna have Granny love.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, I'm totally looking for somebody who's ready to put me in their will.

SPEAKER_01

But but you see where I'm saying, like, I just feel and and even honestly, I'm gonna whittle it down. Really, the one and only place that I would do this would be like a Trader Joe's or a Whole Foods. Right. Because that is a completely unique experience from any other grocery store.

SPEAKER_00

Then you're gonna have a hippie.

SPEAKER_01

You could have a hippie or you're gonna have a um extremely well you're gonna have a well-to-do person. No, no blue collar for Scot Free. No, no, I'm just saying, I I think that it's not we think hippie with Trader Joe's because they're in Ithaca.

SPEAKER_00

But Oh, I was thinking Whole Foods. And what's that other one up in Ithaca that's um North Star? Is it North Star? Well, that's another one.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, is that the food commune or food co-op?

SPEAKER_00

Uh no, it's a grocery store. I don't I don't I don't know if it's a co-op or not. But I don't know. Oh wait, I want to read one more text. I love the idea. The internet scares me more. People can disguise their identity easier. In a story, you are seeing people's actual faces, you can read body language, even if it is creepy.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so now you are getting, you know, a couple cucumbers and and you're gonna make your way over to the meat department. And a date. Do you look at your at the person, and you know, let's say they approach you. Do you look right over and you're like, no, thank you.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_00

How do you let him down? That's the hard part. Oh. That's the hard part.

SPEAKER_01

Because I feel there's gonna be a lot more wanting to let down than say, Let me make you a steak tonight.

SPEAKER_00

Right. There you have to be like, actually, I am interested in the guy in produce.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's gonna work real nice. Then there's gonna be a fight in produce, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Um, something I'd referenced a couple times in this segment was the blue collar grocery store. I have a blue coll collar thing to tell you in a second that just got released yesterday. That if you're a Bills fan, you will love us.
