SPEAKER_00

Hate to say it, it's another one of these days today where we're gonna be dealing probably with more rain than not. Lydia was having a hard time yesterday, understanding we weren't going to the pool when it was nonstop uh showering.

SPEAKER_01

Poor girl.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe tomorrow or definitely Friday, uh we'll get back. Because by the way, Friday, once we get this all out of here, because we're kind of in the midst of a soaker for today again and a little bit tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, but then Friday's gorgeous, 83 and sunny.

SPEAKER_01

And then Saturday too, also good day today. Or a good day that day. Uh, I love every single person. Every person. Because I had a meeting yesterday. Then you you might run into like a coffee shop or something, and it's the same damn line everywhere. Where? What? We really needed this. I'm like, shut up.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, the rain. Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_01

I if I hear this.

SPEAKER_00

It did get kind of dry for a while.

SPEAKER_01

If I hear we really needed this one more time, I heard it literally four times.

SPEAKER_00

I'm still in trauma from May, where it meant it rained from May 1st to the 43rd of May.

SPEAKER_01

I don't even remember that.

SPEAKER_00

I just remember maybe so we really needed that. We we did need that.

SPEAKER_01

And the the the empathy that people say it with. We really needed that. We really needed that.

SPEAKER_00

My marigolds were turning browner than they normally are.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

Dear Lord. That's funny. That is a line that's used. Who else is in here? Because then I have to tell you about a f uh find at an estate sale.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Uh we have uh this is from 3490. I was talking about my dad and my mom and I just discussing me being phoneless. And my dad's like, I gotta confirm it's you. What's your dog's name and what does he like to eat? I love that. Junior and his own poop. So she said, I wish my mom was tech savvy as your dad. If we if we were to do this, and you know what? I don't I obviously you're not as tech savvy because I can't understand what you're saying.

SPEAKER_00

Oh wow. She really needed that rain yesterday.

unknown

I don't know why.

SPEAKER_01

I believe they're talking about a scam. I don't know. That's talk to text. I can't quite understand what's going on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Oh, by the way, Doug, yes, palette expander, Gavin today. That goes back to the start of the show where I'll be draining out uh an account today for that. But uh all in all, though, if this does most of the trick, I'll take three grand plus over a $12,000 run of braces. So everybody, fingers crossed for me, okay?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yes, please.

SPEAKER_00

Please, on that one. Oh Jesus. But yeah, the amen.

SPEAKER_01

I really needed that, Allie.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. So let me tell you what happened over the weekend. So Tiffany got up very early on Saturday, and I find myself now having the moment to think about this. I probably could have thought about it before that, but I'm thinking about it now. So that's the way my brain works. I think she wanted to be wanted me to be more excited about something she found in an estate sale. Ooh. Did not buy, but wanted me to get right behind it and be like, I'll be right down and I'll I'll I'll I'll get a truck.

SPEAKER_01

What was it?

SPEAKER_00

A pool table. Oh no, you know don't do it. Now you know it. And and she did say she goes, it looks like it's a really great condition, which I don't doubt.

SPEAKER_01

The glimmer is for like two minutes.

SPEAKER_00

It's like a boat owner. Best days of your life, the day you buy it, the day you sell it.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and then and then after that, you're like fold laundry on it? Yes, exactly. Okay, so you said no, right?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I didn't say no. I just sort of I I did the Scott, I my brain's not quite getting into okay, there is a cool factor.

SPEAKER_01

Believe me, I have- Of course there's a cool factor.

SPEAKER_00

I absolutely five minutes. Right. I absolutely have the room downstairs. I could absolutely have a billiard table in there. You could have a whole game room. Uh pretty much. It might it might develop into that as the kids get older, you know. I mean, gotta get a Pac-Man. No, I want Galega. I don't want Pac-Man.

SPEAKER_01

But here's what's gonna happen is that then there's gonna be to the point of you trying to get rid of it. And I'll tell you why. So Zach is not moved in yet, but we've talked about, you know, when that happens and where his stuff will go and what he has and blah, blah, blah. So there's been some things I was like, okay, I can take these pictures down. You can put your pictures up and just to make it feel like it's his home too.

SPEAKER_00

But just enough, though. I was telling you like really you're those pictures are gonna be the end of him at the end of the hall that only you and him would see when you're walking into the bedroom. Nobody else.

SPEAKER_01

There's more truth to that than you know.

SPEAKER_00

No, I know there is.

SPEAKER_01

I know you like a buck. I'm telling a girlfriend about this, and she was like, oh, mind you, there'll be a mural of you and Junior on the wall of the women group.

SPEAKER_00

Ding, ding, ding. It's one bird photo walking into the bedroom that nobody sees. And it's also in the dark part of the hallway, so nobody will ever really see it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you know, we're gonna get back to that in a second. But I'll tell my girlfriend about this, and she's like, uh, because I said, Well, there's certain things like you know, Scott, that just are not gonna come over. They're just not.

SPEAKER_00

And she goes, Oh no, I don't know because I have a I almost said a very bad word, sorry. I have a wiener, so I don't get to make the decision of what comes over and what doesn't. Ask Tiffany.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Well, uh that that's that's exactly it. Because uh, when I was like, Oh, I don't want him to bring the uh you know, uh well, I'll tell you off the air what I don't want him to bring.

SPEAKER_00

I can't wait.

SPEAKER_01

And then she she goes, Oh yeah. My boyfriend before he moved in had to get rid of his foosball table because I was not having that in my house. I'm like, oh I felt bad for a second, but then it's uh it's the same as the pool table. You get a little glimmer of this is super fun, we're gonna have a game room. Our friends.

SPEAKER_00

It's only fun for about eight minutes.

SPEAKER_01

So so's a pool table.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, I know. So that's why wow, the pool table. Well, see, this is was $350. And it was brand new.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, yes. Don't get sucked in.

SPEAKER_00

I know, I know.

SPEAKER_01

Because it's getting rid of it, is the hard part.

SPEAKER_00

That you're right. It's the it's the down the road. Uh do I think that it would get used for a period of time? Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

I think the kids are kind of in the phase of it and they could be for with you, you're kind of lucky. If you guys decide, Gavin and Lydia, I think we'll use it for another on and off for another five to eight years.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna say, Gavin maybe, you know, once his once he gets older in school, you know, and then buddies start, you know, just appearing as opposed to me having to go pick them off.

SPEAKER_01

Again, on and off again for five to so his will be five years because he's gonna be eighteen in six years, he'll be eighteen. So by then he'll be like out of the house. That was math I didn't need. Right. That then he'll be out of the house and he's going to college.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he's not gonna be out. Oh, maybe college, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

He's never leaving his dad.

SPEAKER_00

No, yes, he is at 18. He's not just get out. That's not happening.

SPEAKER_01

Well, he's gonna he's gonna become a big boy scout.

SPEAKER_00

Well, okay, maybe. I know you don't want that. You leave me alone.

SPEAKER_01

And you know what I mean? And then Lydia, I'm saying five uh eight years because then she's a couple years behind him. Yeah, although I don't think she's gonna love it as much.

SPEAKER_00

She's math I didn't want to do this morning.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, Lydia could become your pool shark and she could get rich and she can be on those pool competitions on TV.

SPEAKER_00

I'm hoping she does.

SPEAKER_01

You need to take care of daddy because he is never gonna retire.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I can see this conversation in about 10, 12 years. Hey Scott, how are your kids doing? Oh, fantastic. You know, Gavin's a uh rocket scientist, engineer, because that's where his brain's gonna go. And literally, he's a pool shark in Vegas. Jesus. I think that's a great career if you can do it. I I don't disagree with like I think where I was on Saturday when she told me about the pool table, I my brain didn't quite register. And I'm like, boy, this is a commitment. I'm gonna really start like in my mind, I was having a commitment issue and I didn't know how to verbalize that. Yes. Does that make sense? Yes, and it's a typical guy. I'm having a commitment issue and I don't know how to verbalize it.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's a commitment issue because then it's time to break up with it, and you're like, well, is there too many divots in it because the kids have just jacked around on it for years?

SPEAKER_00

There's that.

SPEAKER_01

Or does it just smell like tide because it's been a great folding table?

SPEAKER_00

That too. Uh now it takes me to this question: what's more fun, a pool table or a foosball table? You guys need to text. I say pool table.

SPEAKER_01

I say pool table too. I'm just not as good at foosball. Well, it's a lot of sweating movement.

SPEAKER_00

Sweating? It's carpal tunnel at one little table that's three feet long. Yes. You play one good 30-minute round, forget typing on a computer for the next 10 years.

SPEAKER_01

If I was Forrest Gump, or honestly, every Forrest Gump, wasn't he ping pong?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's another waste of money.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's right. He was ping ping ping pong. Foosbump or ping ping ping ping.

SPEAKER_00

He was ping ping. Also, you can get that over at PC Garden.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it's a delicious dish. It is try page three.

SPEAKER_00

Foosball table. Try page wow. Foosball table or pool table. Which would you rather have? If one was being dropped off today, the truck's coming. Still pool table. Which I'm with you.
