Oh God, I'm gonna let this happen on the fly. I'm hoping this is all okay to be able to listen to.
SPEAKER_00Oh no.
SPEAKER_02No, no, I'll I'll get there in a second. I have a listener that sent something over uh on the text line, which normally we listen first, but I haven't.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Because if you missed anything this morning, it is on the Scott Naly on Demand on our app.
SPEAKER_02Uh so real quick, uh, because I want to get this out of the way. Yes, it says, uh, I got a late start this morning. Way to be. Okay. Way to be, Valerie. It happens. Got a late start today. Uh the birthday wheel has passed. What was the birthday? And did anyone uh win this week?
SPEAKER_00So the birthday was 1-1-2003, and no one won. No. We're now at $1,166.
SPEAKER_02Now, uh like I said, we will not spin next week. Ellie and I will be in Cleveland at a conference, and supposedly coming back really being something with the morning radio thing that we got going on here for 20 years.
SPEAKER_00Can't wait to hear the uh best bits.
SPEAKER_02After this long, I mean we might come back actually sounding good. I know. I know you said it.
SPEAKER_00Um but at any rate because I've already been to this conference once, and what did it do for me?
SPEAKER_02Uh mediocre at best. That's right. So, I mean, maybe both of us go and there's a shot at okay.
SPEAKER_00Except for our TikTok, which has been blowing up. Thank you very much, Scott Nelly Show.
SPEAKER_02That has been huge, yes. Cheap plug, cheap plug. Uh, at any rate, let me come over here, Doug. You're back in uh start a go fund me to uh uh hashtag save junior 3386.
SPEAKER_00Well, you know what? Zach just sent me a text this morning and he goes, Morning, Junior did not wake up. Oh my god, I w he didn't even get to Cleveland! Oh, you guys. He snores so loud, I know he's still alive. Oh. This is Junior needs a CPAP.
unknownDo they do that for dogs?
SPEAKER_00I don't think so. I don't think so either. Uh, but I gotta story about that in a minute. Anyway, keep going.
SPEAKER_02And then uh this next, because I was just teasing you. So Allie is going to leave Junior. This is a bad move, in my opinion. You're gonna leave Junior at your mom's house. Now, I I know your mom's gonna love him up nonstop and all this.
SPEAKER_00And you have to understand my mom's recovering from a surgery, so I think she just needs something to pick her up.
SPEAKER_02But uh And I need sleep. Yes, well, there's that too. But my biggest fear is sometimes aging animals decide that they are going to cross the rainbow bridge, if you will, uh, you know, when their owner's not around.
SPEAKER_00He's not even sick, so stop it. He's not well, Allie. Okay, so he has a little, he's got this cough where it sounds like he is gonna croak whenever he coughs, and he's like, RFK Jr.
SPEAKER_02called and said, dude, your throat needs to be cleared. Are you alright? He does sound like RFK. Jeez, so uh I just get a little nervous. I want to trade, please, mom. Jeez, RFK. Um and then I got this one from uh 4958, just Scott! In all exclamation points. Thank you. But you know, here's the thing. Is it something you had all ever thought about?
SPEAKER_00Um, yes. Really? Which is why I said to my mom, if he gets sick or something happens, I need you to call me right away. Also, here's Dr. Blaha's phone number, which I'm sorry, Cara, if my mom calls you every single day. Oh, you're good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Send Allie the bill. That'll learn her to never do that again.
SPEAKER_00Oh, shush. You know what the thing is, I do have to do? I have to stop and get food for the next month for him, though. Something I kind of forgot about. What is he? One kibble a day? The dog weighs nothing. Well, I I it's not my mom's it's not her job to to pay for his food.
SPEAKER_02So I have to remember to, you know, No, but you made it sound like you have to go buy this 60-pound bag of food. You don't have eight puppies you're feeding. You have it's junior. Right. Well, two kibbles a day, that ought to cover me. If if and maybe a tube of applesauce since he's in a nursing home. Although my god, your mom's house really is gonna be like the nursing home.
SPEAKER_00You put a hot you put a hot dog. He's like you. You put a hot dog in front of his face, he's like, I'm ready for that.
SPEAKER_02All right, let me ask you a question. I'm gonna play Paul for you, and you tell me if you know what Paul is talking about.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Oh, Paul, I'm sorry, go ahead. My name is Paul, and when you move in with a woman, they don't tell you about all the hair that they shed. It's on the countertops, the couches, the floors, and I think my wife puts it places. Like she doesn't want to clog up the drains, so she puts patches of hair on the shower wall. Yes. And now our shower wall looks like a hair cemetery. Um the hair ends up places where it shouldn't be. Like on the inside of my shirt. When I go outside, people ask me if I own a dog. I'm not allowed a dog because my wife said that they shed too much. Huh? If I lived with three St. Bernards, I'd have less hair in my house than I do currently. That's like living with fellas. If you like your lady and want to move in, just be aware of the hair and think about investing in an industrial grade vacuum cleaner.
SPEAKER_00I always tell Zach, my hair is like confetti. It's everywhere. It's like black confetti. You cannot get away from it. And I even almost every single day. You know how I have the Roomba for well, I'm not really sure what. Yes, I know.
SPEAKER_02It ran into Junior and he didn't move, and that's how you know he passed.
SPEAKER_00Because my dog doesn't shed. But I've got one of those handheld Ryobi vacuums. Yes. So every single day I'm like trying to do it.
SPEAKER_02So you understand the shedding nightmare. Oh, I love it when I don't think Tiffany sheds. I have never found a hair in the shower. What? Nope, never once. I've never bald, people. No, no, not at all. I've never found it there. I and you know, I don't have it attached to me.
SPEAKER_00Well, I that's weird because I love it when like Zach will find one in like his armpit. He's like, what the? And he then pulls it out and he's like, oh, that feels weird. You know? Or like, you know, when you get one in your butt crack, don't tell me you've never had one in your butt crack. You get a long hair, and Scott's bald if you didn't know. And and you like pull out this long hair going, Well, that's not mine. Yeah, that's how'd that get there? Right, exactly. They just show up everywhere.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna just throw this to you, ladies. Are you shedders or not? Allie, you are a shedder. I just should Tiffany, no, I do not find Tiffany hair.
SPEAKER_00I'm guessing she probably is much better at cleaning it up.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Or maybe she's are you a shedder or not? That's all I can do. Three, two, one. We're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three. You know, there's a place in Bath called E and V Energy. They sponsor the big three, and here's what's great about it they have no delivery fees for their fuel, like if it's oil, propane, uh, you know, kerosene, whatever, home farm business, no surcharges. You know, that's a beautiful thing because they are the no-fee company.
SPEAKER_00Isn't that awesome? Seattle's police chief has resigned after facing heavy criticism over how the city handled a deadly shooting at a food festival last weekend. Mayor Katie Wilson announced she did accept Chief Sean Barnes' resignation. What the big to do was was how they ended up releasing the information very slowly after the shooting. That was really the the caveat to the whole thing. And this is an interesting feature that Spotify is coming up with. Spotify is launching what's called a running mode. It'll match your song to your tempo, duration, and just you know, you how quickly you're doing your workout. Isn't the point that it encourages me to go faster? Because I'm slow as molasses. So I'm gonna be like running to like uh massa. Yeah, there's not much running there. No, no. Uh, one more quickie. I know how much you love protein stories, Scott. Well, it looks like Purdue has unveiled a new line of breaded chicken products named Powered, offering 20 grams of protein per serving. It's about 50% more.
SPEAKER_02Chicken is already protein!
SPEAKER_00But this one's the breaded one.
SPEAKER_02What they're doing is they're breaded chicken has still got protein in it.
SPEAKER_00No, but here's what they're doing: they're enhancing protein into the breading.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. This marketing, this marketing ploy of protein. Because it's already there. Did you see also Chef Boy RD is adding protein? They now have a protein version.
SPEAKER_00Did you see the uh protein Doritos? I kind of want to try those. Those look awesome.
SPEAKER_02Okay, now there's a product that normally wouldn't have protein that I could say, all right, if you want to get on the protein bandwagon, that's fine. But these products that contain meat and all this stuff, you already have protein.
SPEAKER_00You know what I had yesterday, and it was delicious. Highly recommend if you're trying to get more protein in your diet.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Is it called wild. You know those wild chips. I think it's like maybe it's W-Y-L-D-E. Anyway.
SPEAKER_02These are the ones I pass by.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Well, they have now their version of.
SPEAKER_02You ever heard of ruffles? Shush. They're freaking delicious.
SPEAKER_00I'm trying to make a recommendation. Okay. So it's their version of Cheetos, and I got the hot honey ones yesterday. They're so good. Got them at Wegmas.
SPEAKER_02You gotta be careful with the hot honey because sometimes they can pass so quick you don't even get the good effects of protein because it's passing through you. Well, that's kind of what I want, though. Oh, go have a salad, get some cyclospora, we'll get you in a size four before the week's out.
