Let me take you back into Pain Palace, if I may, uh in Northridgeville all hold.
SPEAKER_00You know what's so funny? That is exactly the same phrase I use for like folders when I'm saving things on Etsy or Facebook Marketplace, and it's something for my house. I call it Pain Palace. I mean, way less nicer than my parents' house.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you got a nice house, but your parents' house is like something uh something to behold. So come listen, come on in with me. And uh, you know, here we are. Now, I told you how this this is the house that when you go into, you're just like, damn it, this makes me just anxious because I keep thinking of all the things that I want to do to my house. Like your parents never ever have to lift a finger as long as they live again with everything in this house, unless they absolutely want to do something. I told you for sure.
SPEAKER_00This is their last house.
SPEAKER_01Your your dad uh uh said, you know, he goes, Well, we'd like to change the kitchen countertops at some point there.
SPEAKER_00I don't know why. And I'm like, quit spending my inheritance, please. And thank you.
SPEAKER_01I mean, unless you're invested well and it's gonna re-imb re uh place itself. Can we not get those counters?
SPEAKER_00Right, knock it off. Actually, maybe they want to because I'm the one who has to take care of selling their house when they kick the bucket.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, don't sell it. Let's do the show remote from there.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. You're so funny about that because I don't have a tie to this house. I wasn't, I didn't grow up in this house.
SPEAKER_01I have a tie to this house, and all I did was get a tour. I'm like, this is gorgeous.
SPEAKER_00I know you guys think I sound so ungrateful when I when I say what I'm gonna say, but because I didn't grow up in this house, I just don't have any memories that are like those, those core memories. I go home for Christmas, but other than that- You don't need a memory to buy a house.
SPEAKER_01Buy a house because it's nice. This house is gorgeous. It is gorgeous. You don't need a memory, make your own memories. That's the point of buying a house. You didn't have any memories to the house you're in now, did you?
SPEAKER_00Are you trying to get not yet? Uh I mean I do, but they're they're they're baby memories. But I'm trying to get to a point where uh are you I'm I'm sorry, are you trying to get to a point where we're doing the show from Cleveland?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just trying to get to a point where you give me your parents' house. Oh so guys, yeah, then you go downstairs. Now, I've I've known this was in existence for a long time, but words don't even put it until you experience it. Words don't even put it into uh a description. So your father's collectible display is so remarkable. He's got gorgeous display cases, he's got everything from superhero uh figurines to one-of-a-kind uh Beatles memorabilia to uh I mean just it's uh it's like he's a collector. It's literally like walking into Comic Con. It really is. Yes, and uh so Comic Con and the rock hall, right? And and very, very, very impressive with all that. Then he continues to tell me, he goes, well, and I I circulate through the collection, and I'm like, what? And he goes, but what you see now may not be on display in the next year. I might swap it out. And he takes me into the back room.
SPEAKER_00It's like every other museum, you know? You have the curator who switches things out.
SPEAKER_01It's like the Smithsonian of Geekdom. I'm like, this is great. Oh my god, then he takes me into the theater. Guys, I'm not joking when I tell you this. They have a theater. If you think you have a theater room in your house, you do not. I want you to take literally a this the small Regal cinema and dump it into her parents' house. I thought it was gonna be three chairs. I really did.
SPEAKER_00Zach said the same thing. He goes, I thought it was gonna be like a couple like overstuffed chairs.
SPEAKER_01It is six rows, a full-blown, heavy-duty upper projection theater surround sound system that honest to God will blow your eyelashes off. This literally is a full-on movie theater in your parents' basement. Like five rows, the slanted seats, you know, where you have to go up. I'm like, couples or who does this? And then I'm thinking to myself, where can I do this in my life?
SPEAKER_00You know, and that's I never I never have had this um this will to save up that much money and do something great like that. But this just goes to show my parents don't ever vacation. And they they say why? Yeah, why leave this house? That's exactly what they say. Why leave this house? This house is great. Where I'm such a traveler and that's where I spend my money. My parents also have no vices. They don't drink, they don't smoke, they don't gamble, they have all the all they have to do is spend money on their little your inheritance, you mean is spend your inheritance on things that yes, their little pain palace.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, guys, this place was unbelievable.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Next time you have to stay for an actual movie.
SPEAKER_01It it well, that would be nice too. Uh and but the other thing too that I have to mention, Tiffany. I keep coming back to oh my god, she comes through this house, she's gonna be like, okay, we're gonna do all this. I'm gonna be like, I'm broke.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um the You'll never the the thing that's No offense, you work in radio, I know what you make. No, I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're not far off from that statement. The other thing that's so amazing, too, and this is where the jealousy sets in, but not like in an evil jealousy, like, oh, I really love this. Did you know? Of course you noticed you it's your parents' house. All the bathrooms, and I thought this was so impressive. All the bathrooms have that high-end fixtures where they sort of match each other. Like your parents' shower has those floor-to-ceiling glass, you know, walls. Yeah, so does the shower that you were in. Uh, you know, I mean, I'm like I never really nothing matches in my house except the kitchen.
SPEAKER_00I never really paid attention to that detail, but you're right, it does. It matches. Everything matches.
SPEAKER_01It's those things you're just like, oh my God. Right. Oh, it in a second, too. Junior's there for the next month. Boy, was he in the lap of luxury. Let me just tell you that. I'll explain in a minute.
