Be aware there's gonna be some scattered uh showers and thunderstorms later. Some of it could be a little bit strong at times. Just uh keep that out there.
SPEAKER_01You know what I've noticed? Throughout this whole summer so far, everything has been like showers Monday, Tuesdays, less on the weekends. The weekends have been so perfect. I have a girlfriend who has a boat, and I always think every single weekend, you know, our lives are kind of different right now. You know, I've got my things going on, she's got her boat life going on, and I always think, gosh, she has it so good this year.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. This weekend could be very good too. If it holds up the forecast, it is mostly sunny Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Uh, so I need that too, because Heather and Dan are coming down. We have to take down a tree in my yard. I'm gonna come back to that because we're gonna play around of does Scott or an his man card in this job.
SPEAKER_01All righty.
SPEAKER_00So we'll get to that in just a little bit. But I wanted to round this out with both National Spoiler Dog Day today, because I'm pretty sure if you got a dog, pretty much all of us have something different we do that we spoil our dogs with. Junior's laying right now in a king-size temperatic mattress in the living room of the Pain Palace.
SPEAKER_01I don't even I I don't even know how my mom, she just had this, she's always had a love of dogs anyway, but she just has this really great connection with Junior, and she wants everyone to know it. She even said to me, she goes, This is my dog now. Because if you missed it, my dog is staying with my mom for a month because the month of August is so busy for me. And she's like, I'll just keep it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it works out really well because Junior doesn't move too much, and I noticed your mom doesn't move too much either.
SPEAKER_01She did just have back surgery.
SPEAKER_00Believe me, I know I got the full rundown of that, including the doctors and everything. This time I got doctor's names, which is always good. You know, you're in a hardcore medical conversation with somebody when they can whip out the doctor's names. You know, a lot of people are just like, Yep, I went and had that their uh amputation done to my big toe. But when they can be like, Well, I was over visiting with Dr. Nasser and he uh was over there, you know, because when they drop doctors' names, uh-huh, and of course, they're so close. Same reaction has to be, oh, she told me a story how the doctor even remembered your dad.
SPEAKER_01I was like, Okay, it's uh Well, of course, when you're a frequent flyer, you know.
SPEAKER_00So this is the best part. You have to play it's a good thing. I'm I I am a professional BSer when it comes to you know casual conversation. Yes. Because as your mom's telling this story about, you know, Dr. Hajib, and I'm like, oh, yes, the good Dr. Hajib. You know, you you have to play it long like you know the doctor.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you be careful because you're about 10 years from giving me doctors' updates.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's true.
SPEAKER_01Although you never go to the doctor. No.
SPEAKER_00So neither do I. But when they when when somebody starts dropping names of the doctors and all that, about all you can do is be like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I heard they're very good. Very good, very good doctor.
SPEAKER_01If old people actually were good at technology, which my mom not, then they would be the best- She's your dad is. No, my dad's excellent at it, but think about it. They would be the best to give Google reviews on doctors and doctors' offices. Yeah. Because my mom, if she loves a doctor, oh, Dr. Ross. He is just Oh, Ross.
SPEAKER_00I heard all about Ross.
SPEAKER_01Yes, he is just the best doctor. You know, we've we've had him for 25 years. He's good.
SPEAKER_00Interestingly enough, women will do this when it comes to gynose. For the longest time, everybody wanted Dr. Scott here in Corning, which I don't know, is he still around?
SPEAKER_01I don't know if he is or not. He was never mine.
SPEAKER_00Oh, but everybody wanted him as far as the obgen goes, you know, the OBGYN.
SPEAKER_01Which I think is weird because I don't want a male OBGYN.
SPEAKER_00Well, yes, but there were, you know, hands of hands of an angel.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_00You know, that's what you'd hear.
SPEAKER_01So it was like bedside manner.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So there is the exception to the rule. When you get to a certain age, you're name-dropping doctors because, well, this is casual conversation. When you're a woman, you're name dropping like the Obgins and the uh, you know, things like that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Speaking of which, we have a great dentist.
SPEAKER_01I only only had a male OBGYN once, and that was because I had a girlfriend who swore by him, and then all of a sudden he was gone. Oh, retired? Yeah, don't you hate it when you find it's like finding a good bra. Yeah. When you find a good bra and then they discontinue it, you're like, son of a guy. Same with doctors. If I have an OBGYN who is the the hands of an angel. Hands of an angel. Yes, then I don't want to get rid of them.
SPEAKER_00No. Uh 0432. I'll come back to your text in one second, along also with 6163, but I have to come finish off the spoiling the dog things.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, what's up?
SPEAKER_00So uh I love that this one came in and uh it was my dog has their own Brita pitcher and mobile groomer. And that was from Emily. My gosh. Well, you're Emily, you're doing well for yourself. Those mobile groomers, not cheap.
SPEAKER_01No, not at all. But when it's your baby, then they have to they have to look good.
SPEAKER_00There are all my babies at our house, but I can't afford a mobile groomer.
SPEAKER_01I know, but it's like whenever you take Gavin and Lydia out.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01It's like when you take Gavin and Lydia out. If Lydia's got chocolate on her mouth and doesn't brush her hair, you're like, get it together, girl. Don't embarrass me. Whoa.
SPEAKER_00You know?
SPEAKER_01I don't want my dog to embarrass me.
SPEAKER_00This one I I will uh give you from uh 4093. Jake gets fresh vegetables cooked up uh with uh with meals. Oh yes. Uh let's see, real fruits uh for dessert has a uh a coach collar. Oh my god, unleash. Uh toy box full of toys, goes uh goes to visit grandma, gets uh beyond spoiled there too. See, I'm telling you, we're not alone here.
SPEAKER_01And I always I love that it's like the uh going to visit grandmas because when all of a sudden grandma gets involved, it's 10 times the spoiling.
SPEAKER_00There is now let me come back to uh these two texts. First of all, I will do let me do this one first. Uh 0432. Good everyone. Did I miss how meeting uh the meeting of Zach and Allie's parents went? Oh, we never well we didn't we didn't talk about it much. Well we're we're gonna do that next. I want you to stay there for just a minute because that is kind of a funny story. Uh and then uh I had to mention this one too from 6163. They said good morning, Scott and Allie. Good morning. Um I would uh love to hear the birthday song. Uh today is my birthday, celebrating 62 years and many more. Yes, many more. Wait a second.
SPEAKER_01You wanna do you know what? What 6263?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You have a birthday.
SPEAKER_00I'm sorry, 6163.
SPEAKER_01Oh, 6163. You have a birthday buddy today with Gail Payne.
SPEAKER_00Oh, this is your birthday talk! It is a very long hey!
