Did you see Spider-Man made another hundred and forty-five million this weekend?

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna ask you what you thought of that movie because that's excellent. That came up a lot. Even over the weekend, we had Zach's kid was in town, and and we're they were saying that I well, first of all, I was explaining to them that you had rented out an entire theater for Gavin and his friends. And that Gavin was 12, and they said, Oh, we're really surprised because it really is a plot heavy movie.

SPEAKER_01

It's less on the pew pew with the Oh, there was plenty of uh pew pew. Oh yeah, no, it was it was the movie was excellent.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they said it exactly, they said the plot was beautiful. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, that it was a great yeah, the story's outstanding. It's a it's a coming of age story and how we changed throughout our lives. So there is that underlying theme, uh-huh. But of course, it was still an action movie. I mean, there was plenty of that, yeah. Oh, it was phenomenal. I mean, if you haven't seen it yet, it's highly, highly worth it.

SPEAKER_00

Did you talk about this on the air? Did you talk about uh Gavin's birthday?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because I was curious, how did that go as far as Oh, it's fantastic.

SPEAKER_01

I mentioned that, you know, uh Tiffany, not my Tiffany, Tiffany who owns the Palace Theater. They listen, I know not everybody is in the same situation, but a lot of times people are going, what can we do for kids for birthdays? And I thought it was pretty reasonable because not only for the couple hundred dollars did you get the private viewing. I mean, it was a little earlier on a Saturday, it was like 11:30 that we all got there. Yeah, but that included the tickets to the movie, too. So you have to remember it wasn't just that's the rental cost, that was 25 people that were able to screen the movie.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's what I said, and I told them how much it cost, and they were blown away. Now they live in Chicago, so everything's just more expensive out there. Everything is, yeah. But they were just blown away how little the cost was.

SPEAKER_01

It was, I mean, a hell of a bang of a bug. Now, I mean, you you gotta pick it so that it's the right movie for you, you know. I mean.

SPEAKER_00

Did all the kids stay and stay seated and watching? Or okay, because I was thinking they would get bored and walk around.

SPEAKER_01

No, this this was an easy movie to to stick with. Now, Moana, I'd have been up and like anybody want to play bean?

SPEAKER_00

Plus, Gavin's at the age where you do sit and watch a movie.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he was on the edge of a seat. He was loving it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's awesome. Okay, one other thing. I want to give you a little nostalgia too. So Mattel is unveiling a new Barbie, but it is Whitney Houston. I want to dance with somebody Barbie. Oh, no kidding. From 1987.

SPEAKER_01

With the headband and all that?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, where it's it's kind of like a big floppy bow. Yes. 60 bucks for the Barbie, which I didn't think was terrible. Bright makeup, and is available right now. You can get Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Metallic.

SPEAKER_01

I could see this for the collectors of Barbie. Well, then again, I don't know. I mean, music is one of the weirdest things. We the all of a kids specifically, I'm not saying this is a Barbie that's gonna come out of the box. And next thing you know, in three years, you're gonna end up playing uh, you know, uh bodyguard with the Barbie. You know, get the Kevin Costner doll for a couple years down the line. Yeah, yeah. And then you can get another Barbie a few years later, and uh she's in a bathtub with a gravy boat dead. That's the one I want. Yep. Uh but uh the the thing about don't forget Barbie with Bobby Brown. I was even thinking pregnant Barbie. I was really ruining this, wasn't I? But I don't know that this is gonna come out of the box. This is like one of these collector items ones, uh, but it's cool.

SPEAKER_00

I think so.

SPEAKER_01

And like music, I don't understand. Like they find things that I'm like, that's cool to you.

SPEAKER_00

A couple weeks ago, I was talking about uh I bartend sometimes for weddings at this one venue in town, and how all the kids they were dancing to Whitney Houston. I want to dance with somebody. And these these were 23, 24-year-olds. I mean that song came out in 87. They weren't even a thought. No, it's 38 years old. It's just right, it's just one of those songs that has stood the test of it. I know, I know.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's cool though. I mean, it it's cool she gets recognized.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, for sure. Oh, one other thing I wanted to bring up too, as we're starting our work week, is something that is now showing up in the office that if you saw this, and I'll tell you what it is in a second, if you saw this come into the office, would you start laughing? And it's something that that that you specifically would wear, Scott. I wouldn't wear this, but you would wear this.

SPEAKER_01

I am dying to find out.
