Wow. Listen to what Heather just texted about. This is apparently a pattern that happens in her house with her birthday.

SPEAKER_01

Well, wait, first of all, Heather, what's your birthday?

SPEAKER_00

224.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, February 24th.

SPEAKER_00

Four days after my birthday.

SPEAKER_01

I will remember that now. There you go. That's easy to remember.

SPEAKER_00

She writes us, she says, this was a few years ago, but I will never forget it. And let me tell you before I go any further, Heather's really good at dry sarcasm. I mean dry sarcasm. Like some people, I mean, like, I'm kind of crazy over-the-top sarcasm because I'm really trying to drive it home.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. Like, get it? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Heather's really good at the dry version of it. And she goes, We were out to dinner. About halfway through dinner, Dan says, That's her husband. Yes. So uh what are we going? What are you gonna want to do? The way she phrases it. What are you going to want to do for your birthday? Boy. Way to think about something, Dan. There's check mark number one.

SPEAKER_01

Feels very sentimental right now.

SPEAKER_00

Heather says, Well, I said uh since it's today uh is my birthday, I guess this is what I'm doing. All the color in his face left.

unknown

That's great.

SPEAKER_01

Please tell me. Now, was this last year or was this a couple years ago? I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

She just said it was a few years ago.

SPEAKER_01

Please tell a few years ago. Please tell me that since then he has made it up to you a hundredfold. I think birthdays are very important. Sure. I uh am obsessed with my birthday and I make a big deal about everything.

SPEAKER_00

I've been a little sick with it, that's true.

SPEAKER_01

But do I have I made a big deal about your birthday before? Okay, yes. Well sure, yeah, you haven't, yeah. So it's not even just me wanting it for mine. I want to make other people feel really special too. So now we'll make it up to you, Heather.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, there you go. Uh 3836 said, in regard to you being a day off on your mom's birthday, panicking your father actually, you know what? It's still good you did it. His reaction says right out, oh my God, I'm not prepared.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Oh, not at all.

SPEAKER_00

Whether it was yesterday or whether it's today. Well, so wait, is today's Gail's birthday? Today is Gail's birthday.

SPEAKER_01

Um She let me sing that birthday song though. Maybe she thought I was doing birthday week, so she thought, oh, this is cute.

SPEAKER_00

Roll with it. Don't tell her anything. No, don't say a word. Uh and uh this one came in and says, Allie, uh, at least you were a day early, not a day late.

SPEAKER_01

Right? Because I'm usually a day late. I will think of somebody's birthday. And I'm I all day long, oh, I gotta text, I gotta text Stacy. It's her birthday today. And then all of a sudden I see it on Facebook, because of course that's where you find out about everybody's birthday. I see it on Facebook that 92 people have wished her a happy birthday, and the next day, sorry, girl. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I love the fact that the story that you're telling that you were calling to bail your dad out, you literally got distracted by one of your friends in a conversation. And had your dad not messaged you, had he just left it alone?

SPEAKER_01

No, he messaged me six times, but when he finally called me is when I is when I was like, Oh, I Because you got distracted.

SPEAKER_00

Had he not reached out to you, you offering to help would have fallen completely apart. That you can't write that.

SPEAKER_01

But the roses would have showed up at nine o'clock at night.

SPEAKER_00

Well, still early than ever. Still early. True.
