You know, sometimes you just find yourself in a situation you were like, Well, that's not exactly where I was expecting this was all gonna go.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, but also it could catapult your life into something completely different. If this guy transfers with Corning Well, I assume it's Corning and Corning.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I yeah, it could have been could be anybody, but definitely there looks to be a move in his future.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and it could change the trajectory of his life as far as his career goes, but it's the girlfriend or just keeping the job. Or that. No, I mean that's Well, usually if you get transferred, it aren't you getting transferred because there is an opportunity, you're moving in a forward momentum.

SPEAKER_00

I would assume there's that. There's also the possibility not to dwell on this, but maybe there's the possibility they stop producing something at the diesel plant here, but they're gonna be doing it in their North Carolina plant, and he's great at managing that whole section, so they said we're gonna put you down there. But I don't know, it doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_01

But the reason we say that though is is because he has a girlfriend with three kids who they haven't been dating even a year yet, and he's not he's not sure if they're ready to come with him. And more so, he said this for him to be like a father-like figure, and that's where I feel like the the relationship is doing okay, but that seems to be the hang up.

SPEAKER_00

But if he leaves and doesn't bring them with him, then well the girlfriend's already assumed that it that she's gonna go, right? It's like already assume that, oh yeah, well, this is a great new start.

SPEAKER_01

But if he leaves and says, No, don't come with me, then you're never gonna be the father-like figure. This is the end of your relationship.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. You sign up for my kids too. Well well, no, I'm not disputing that. But I part of me respects what he said, which is I'm not sure I'm ready for all that. Uh because the way it is now, likely he doesn't live with them. This is my assumption, and he gets to go to his own place, have his own freedom and his own space. Right. But when he's there, I'm sure that there's interaction with you know the the three daughters in some way, shape, or form. No idea what the ages are either. So, I mean, I have no clue. You got an older teenage daughter, good luck getting her to move. Um, but uh three thirty 3836 says maybe he can say something like, Give me time uh to move and get adjusted.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, that's actually not a bad idea, because at least you it buys you some time for you to figure it out.

SPEAKER_00

The bigger part is before that happens, whatever he decides to do, I understand he's got these concerns. I don't know if I want to be the full-time dad yet. Uh, I mean, you know, first of all, technically, technically, biologically, they're not his kids. So, yes, I'm a proponent of you are a parent, you know, you can easily slide into the parent role and be respected for that because we have no idea what the situation with the with the biological father is. No clue. So, you know, yes, you are, but I I respect the fact he's like, I'm just not a hundred percent sure I want to fully take on that role, and now we're all living together under one roof. You'd have to, you're not gonna go get two different places for people to live down there, right? Potential that you could carry the entire load the whole time. Uh, not 100% sure of that either. And I'm sure there's also just the adjustment period. You move from one building to another building. That's all there. There's a lot there. So the girlfriend's automatically assumed he needs to roll back somehow her assuming she was going right away. But like you said, the problem with that is you have to be so careful or it's a relationship ender.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if there is a way to undo that.

SPEAKER_01

Right. I don't know if he wants to end the relationship just yet, but these actions will automatically end it.

SPEAKER_00

And it's sort of sad because you know what? I don't think that's fair to him in regard to the fact he didn't say to her, We're all gonna move to North Carolina. I'm just saying this. I I mean I'm just you know, he didn't say it. He said, Hey, there's a really good chance that I could get have to get transferred. She then jumped on the assumed bandwagon and went there. How do you get out of that part other than 3836 saying, you know, maybe you could say something like, take the time to get adjusted, maybe he will decide the relationship is worth hanging on to, but he's gotta somehow roll her off that. And that's her problem that she assumed that. His problem too, because he didn't stop it and go, whoa, whoa, whoa, I didn't say you were coming, but that also is an instantaneous fight.

SPEAKER_01

I have a hard time thinking that our relationship is going to get stronger. If I leave for a move, a transfer in another estate, then I I have a hard time believing that it's going to get stronger and it's gonna go, oh, come with me now. I feel like it's going to hurt it more than anything.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, I mean, being separated more than being together doesn't work for most people. Right. It's just the she automatically assumed it was happening, and that's where the problem is really coming in. He I I don't know how to how to stop that.

SPEAKER_01

I think we both agreed she assumed because she hasn't had a really great track record for holding a steady job.

SPEAKER_00

And three, two, one. We're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three. Uh don't forget big three brought to you by E and V Energy out in Bath. Listen, it's almost time. Oh God, I hate saying that. It's almost time for the I know. All right, you know what? In the next couple months, it's gonna be a little cooler than it is right now. Is that better? That's much better. Yes, that's fantastic. They got propane, they got fuel oil, they've got kerosene, farm, business, home, whatever you need. No surcharges. They are the no-fee fuel company.

SPEAKER_01

Ah, and you know what that means? Fuel is money. Wouldn't it be great if you won the jackpot, the powerball? Nobody won? No one. This thing's over a million dollars! So right now it stands at 975 million with a cash value of a little of over 422 million.

SPEAKER_00

Did uh I'll check. I was gonna say, like, did anybody have even a million-dollar winning ticket? I'll take that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Go ahead and check that out for me. And at least 111 people have been killed and more trapped under debris after a powerful quake hit Western Columbia yesterday. The earthquake struck about 250 miles west of the Capitol and could also be felt in Ecuador and the Panama, too. The son of Colorado representative Lauren Bober has been arrested on charges related to the sexual exploitation of a child. Listen to how this played out, though. Tyler, 21, faces three counts of sexual exploitation exploitation of a child and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. All felonies. This is after a video was filmed with a 17-year-old. He was 18 at the time. He was taken into custody Sunday in Colorado and released the same day on $10,000 bond. He's due back in court later this month, and of course, we'll update you on that when that happens. But Lauren Boeber said in a statement that she loves her son and takes the allegations seriously. Tyler has had previous run-ins with the law. And there is the big three.

SPEAKER_00

Looks like uh, well, as we know, nobody won the big Powerball. Somebody in Tennessee got two million dollars, and then somebody in California and in Maryland uh got a million dollars.

SPEAKER_01

Man, I would love a million.

SPEAKER_00

I would love two million. You know what? $500,000 would be just that that's actually it'll keep me well out of trouble. I would take that too. Yeah. No problems there.
