What's so funny?
SPEAKER_00Cat Kathy's not wrong. She texted uh Kathy Double or Kathy030. Uh I'll just use your username on that one. She goes, Gen Xers are traumatized by uh other things. Has anyone ever really died in quicksand in the US?
SPEAKER_01That is the second day in a row for this. That's a big one. Ray, that's another one of those when we were younger. And you said it perfectly yesterday. The only thing that your kids fear is losing the internet.
SPEAKER_00And the Wi-Fi going out. That's their fear.
SPEAKER_01They don't fear quicksand. They don't fear piranhas. They don't fear getting stuck on a railroad crossing. Not at all. I don't know why. Like, okay, I have a girlfriend. She's so superstitious that when she she's going across a railroad crossing, she touches a screw in her car. I'm not sure what the deal is with that.
SPEAKER_00I've never heard that one. Has anyone heard the one hold your breath when you go over railroad tracks? Do you pass a white house or you'll let the evil spirits in?
SPEAKER_01She does that too. She does it. Oh, so she's holding her breath and touching a screw.
SPEAKER_00Wow. Oh, right. And then you're really screwed if you don't pass a white house. And then you're like justifying in your head, well, I see one two blocks over. Does that count? Right.
SPEAKER_01Or you're like, is that that it's like a light blue? Yeah. Ceiling. Yeah, we had to get white in there to make it light blue. That's exactly right. You also were talking this morning about nagging, which I hate, hate that word.
SPEAKER_00I know you do. Uh you are a different kind. I'm not gonna say you're a different kind of nager. You're different. You are passive aggressive, um, and and not overly repeaty, passive aggressive.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Consistently passive aggressive.
SPEAKER_00Okay, you get in the near the word repeating.
SPEAKER_01But but there's something that all couples do, and I think this prevents any future nagging. Do you ever FaceTime Tiffany while you're in a store to make sure that you got the right thing?
SPEAKER_00Oh, I'm pretty sure I have, yeah, absolutely. Normally what'll happen, let me tell you. So when she sends the bald guy to get her hairspray, that's always funny. Oh, I've got a good one from Sam the other day. I'll be damned if the Suave people don't change their logoing on their bottle.
SPEAKER_01She uses normal. It's not the same from 1995 when you had a full head of hair.
SPEAKER_00No smart ass. How about every every other month? Why do you have to change your logoing every other month? I mean, you know, so I'm always like, send me the picture. Yes. So I know exactly which one to get, which never matches the one that's on the shelf because Target has a different logoed one than wherever. And uh I but I've absolutely FaceTimed her with stuff. And and I just do that because I feel that's the more that's are you ready for this? Yes. You ready for this BS line?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00That is advanced uh uh Nag prevention? Shut up. Uh no, that is it uh the word I'm looking for. Hold on. It's coming to me. I had it and then it left me because it was so full of crap. Um it it is um I'm waiting. Not complimentary uh uh respect. It is advanced respectfulness to her needs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I agree.
SPEAKER_00I told you that was gonna dig deep.
SPEAKER_01Well, I know I agree because there is of course there's things I'm particular about. I'm uh I'm somebody who uh well obviously we found out this morning likes to be in control. Um but also there's things I like.
SPEAKER_00Oh, sorry, we just found that out this morning. Shut up. I've been knowing this for 20 years. All right, well, 18. The first two years you let me boss you around. Then it was like, I got this. Right. I know how it works.
SPEAKER_01But I'm very particular on the kind of yogurt I have.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, great example. Because I'm not a yogurt guy, so I'm not gonna know your feet smell in yogurt from you know the sugary crap that you don't want.
SPEAKER_01Yes, because they're like the it's like this Siggy's, I think it's called Siggies. Not the kinds you smoke, but the kinds you might have to face tab you on that. Did you want the new porch or did you want the or did you want the coffee Siggy's Icelandic skir, whatever? And it's always here's another one. Oh my gosh. What a what a hurdle in a relationship. Have you ever had to go get tampons?
SPEAKER_00Um, years ago, I think I grabbed a some from I think it was with my ex-wife.
SPEAKER_01I don't know why. It's the hard I know, but it's the hardest thing to ask when you're first starting in a relationship because there's an emergency. And then that's something women are very particular about.
SPEAKER_00Well, that one, and I will tell you, at one point I made the mistake of getting the wrong pads. Oh, yeah. I thought all pads were the same. No. Oh my god, this thing was like a sponge you'd wash your car with.
SPEAKER_01The ones that are in every school. Every time you, if you had an emergency room in school, and every woman completely understands this. It was this.
SPEAKER_00This is a memory from about 30 years ago, but I'll never forget. She hope looks at it. What? What? Like, well, I thought you detail the car after you get your period rolling.
