Wow. Um, shame on me for being so not in tune with it, but I I'm gonna give you a bit of an excuse on why I'm not. So I don't really follow a ton of the preseason NFL stuff like for the Bills or anything like that. Only only because it's preseason, and I'm like, uh these are uh more like official practice games. Although it was cool last week to see the new stadium and to see some of the main folk, you know, really putting some time in. That was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02I love how the answer for preseason is always this.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02If there I didn't say it get.
SPEAKER_01Oh. I thought you were re in the sense of like, we all sort of have pay attention. No, no, no. I thought that's what you meant.
SPEAKER_02The answer is every single person who talks about preseason always answers with, now if their team is doing well, well, great, what a great start to the season. It's preseason. That's a that's we're warming up. If they do terrible, they always say, Well, it's preseason, who cares?
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's preseason, yeah. They're not playing their main people.
SPEAKER_02That's the answer every time. Every time. Uh, we do have our sister station, the Met. Yes. Who airs all these Bills games. And it looks like tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01This is the big news. I forgot. I I just noticed it because we got a text that said, uh, go Bills.
SPEAKER_02Bills and uh Bills and Browns tomorrow, 12 o'clock.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Who do you think is gonna win win? Cleveland.
SPEAKER_02Who do you think's gonna win?
SPEAKER_01Well, it's preseason.
SPEAKER_02We're just warming up.
SPEAKER_01I mean, but I look at it like this. It's preseason for the Bills, but for the Browns, this is like their regular season team. So I expect we'll kill them.
SPEAKER_02Womp, womp, hey, I got a question for you.
SPEAKER_01Hey, hey. If you all right, let's let's pretend somebody you know, not the closest uh person you know, where you would know all their personal details, aka Sonia, Sarah, yeah, the handful of others that you know every, you know, Danielle. You know, it's like they blow a fart, you're like, oh, 1202 in the afternoon. I knew that. Let's say it was someone that was a good enough friend that you're invited to their wedding, but you don't follow every personal moment to the letter of the second of what their life is all about. Like your other friends.
SPEAKER_02Put it in my brain.
SPEAKER_01And all of a sudden you hear the wedding's canceled. What goes through your mind first? First thing that goes through your mind, just gut reaction.
SPEAKER_02Yep, there you go.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Why else would you cancel?
SPEAKER_01Well, I actually heard a great piece of advice uh the other day. When I tell you where, you're going to be like, oh my God. Are you getting married? No. Uh it was Okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, let's not be so aggressive about that.
SPEAKER_01Most recent uh episode uh on Paramount Plus of Star Trek Strange New Worlds.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01When uh uh there was I I'll won't bore you with all the details, but there were there were there's Are you sure you don't want to?
SPEAKER_02I mean, I mean I could be here for another, I don't know, 25 minutes.
SPEAKER_01No, it did, but you know, so anyway, this couple that was dating on the Enterprise, well, they realized the romantic relationship was over with. Okay. And the girl literally made a great line. She had she had a great line. This is great writing. She goes, There's nothing to be ashamed of of a relationship coming to its natural conclusion.
SPEAKER_02Did I not say this on our podcast like six episodes ago? I six episodes ago.
SPEAKER_01That's a reach. I don't remember what I ate for breakfast this morning.
SPEAKER_02The the podcast that I cried, I said that. You cried on a podcast? The iTunes all this crap. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Yes. I was having an anxiety attack and I talked about it.
SPEAKER_01Clearly, I was showing all my sympathy as normal.
SPEAKER_02And I was talking about, you guys have to go back and listen to this podcast. I was I was having a bit of an anxiety attack, and I was talking about my ex selling our house and how that was inducing some anxiety in me. Yes. And it was a change, it was a it was a closure- unexpected change at that moment. Yes, but it was also closure to like even more closure than there was closure before. You know, because we lived in the house together and everything. And it just like made me really sad. So then I did say, if it wasn't that podcast, then it was the one right after that it's okay for it to just be done with. Like there was no cheating, there was no beating, there was no nothing, there was nothing like that that caused the relationship to end.
SPEAKER_01I apologize that I did not remember that. Clearly, Star Trek Strange New Worlds listens to our podcast. Clearly. And wrote that into the episode for you. But I thought that was a great way to say it. You know, it's like it's okay. There's no shame to be had in a relationship that just reaches its conclusion, its romantic conclusion.
SPEAKER_02Reaches that? It's it's hard because you were talking about somebody getting married and then the wedding gets called off.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I'm coming back to that.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. But what's hard about that is that's the hardest relationship to end, especially if you were gonna get married.
SPEAKER_01Uh, you figure all the planning and the money that's already been put out. Well, here is a bridesmaid shares a surprising wedding cancellation.
SPEAKER_00Hey girls, quick update. The bachelorette trip is officially cancelled. Turns out the groom has been doing trust falls directly into a bridesmaid. The wedding budget has been reallocated to Therapy and Tequila. Please return your matching shirts. Cantina.
SPEAKER_01That is uh that is epic.
SPEAKER_00Trust falls into a bride's There was cheating in that case.
SPEAKER_01Yes, there was, yeah.
