Redneck Bill texted again and he goes, Did I fix it? And I say, Well, you are Redneck Bill, which means you have the redneck fix and you did fix it. So he got bumped out. For whatever reason on our app in the past two months, it started to do this thing. If your phone updates, it bumps you out as a uh registered. Well, you're still registered. It just un like uh you have to go back in and put your you put your you have to re-go in.
SPEAKER_01Right. You have to re-log in because log in, thank you.
SPEAKER_02That was the word while that escaped me.
SPEAKER_01If you get logged out, then uh when you're texting us, it just shows you as a guest. And we want to make sure, like, especially Redneck Bill, we want to give you your flowers, whatever you're texting us.
SPEAKER_02You are a staple of the show. So, yes, that's it. That proves right there. Staple of our lives. Now, Kathy, I'm not gonna read your text on the air, but boy, am I gonna let Gavin read that off the air.
SPEAKER_01So Gavin's our corporate guy who's singing.
SPEAKER_02You want to say hi? Say hi. There he goes, there he is. Yellow.
SPEAKER_01There he is. Now, Gavin, I know that you work for corporate, but have you ever actually been on the radio before?
SPEAKER_00Actually, yeah, doing kind of like uh little app introductions and stuff like this, but you guys don't need no intro because you already know what you're doing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you're so sweet. He's just gonna hang with us for a little bit.
SPEAKER_02He's like, Oh, I want to see what you guys do. I'm like, well, that's a disaster.
SPEAKER_01Before we get to the big three, because we have to cover the the Lindsay Clancy case. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02I want to I want to give you the left- not only Lindsey Clancy, the Tupac thing. Both those had something similar happen yesterday.
SPEAKER_01Wait, but that's not in this big three. That's gonna be the next big three. Well, you don't write my big three.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you're right, I don't.
SPEAKER_01So now you have to be there for the next big three.
SPEAKER_02I have to be here for two hours.
SPEAKER_01Yes, exactly. Sorry. The last question you should always ask in an interview. If you're going to an interview today, or I mean, maybe next week, what is the last question you should always ask? Gavin, you want to take a shot at this?
SPEAKER_02This is you being interviewed. In other words, you're you're there. And I mean, let's be real, it's radio. Any of us could need a new interview soon.
SPEAKER_00Is there anything uh in this conversation that we missed that?
SPEAKER_01Okay, that's a good one. That's a really good one like that. That's not the last question that you should ask, though. It is what are the next steps in this process? And the reason is Oh, hearing that now it makes total sense. Yes, so it gives you some sort of I want a future here. And that that way they know, hey, this person wants communication. I want to communicate with them. It's a two-way street. That's why you should ask that.
SPEAKER_02I like the fact that it almost implies that you're taking a little bit of control going, you are going to hire me. And what is the next step?
SPEAKER_01Yes, and communicate with me. Yes. Because the next step might be another interview, but at least tell me that.
SPEAKER_02All right. So one more time. Here we are, wrapping up the interview. Uh Ellie, I I think we've covered everything that I need. I I have to tell you, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you. And uh, you know, this morning show co-host opportunity, uh, I have a few more people that I have to inter interview. Should have done that 20 years ago. Um, but uh, you know, you wouldn't have had this. Yeah, that's right. Uh, but I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you coming in today.
SPEAKER_01Uh, I do have one more question before I go.
SPEAKER_02Oh, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01What are the next steps in this process? Uh, the bathroom's right across the hall.
SPEAKER_02And three, two, one. You're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three.
SPEAKER_01You think you're so funny. Yes, I do. The big three is brought to you by ENV Energy. So we're getting into, and I know you don't want to hear this, but we're getting gonna be getting into colder weather.
SPEAKER_02I've told you this. I said, I think we're gonna get an early fall, and I think it's gonna be a cold as heck one.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. So if you need propane, fuel oil, kerosene, they can deliver to your home, farm, even business with no delivery fees or surcharges. Call or look online, of course, ENV as Invictor Energy. More than a thousand people are missing, and at least 400 people dead after flash flooding tore through Nepal and Tibet early Wednesday. Now, according to some initial assessments, a massive chunk of ice snapped off of a glacier and tumbled thousands of feet into the valley below. Rock, ice, and mud plunged down for miles. One of the things that I heard this morning, because I was listening to a report about this, the uh recovery efforts are so difficult because they can only get in by helicopter right now. Oh, wow. Mm-hmm. And that's why it's gonna take so many more days to hopefully recover more people. They were at sea more than 250 days, and now the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier will briefly stop in Thailand next week before returning to San Diego. The Thai Navy called it a routine port visit, no biggie. And you wanted to know about the Lindsay Clancy case, of course. A Massachusetts jury is deciding the fate of Lindsay Clancy, accused of murdering her three children. Clancy's defense argues she suffered postpartum psychosis. Prosecutors contend she knew right from wrong. Here's where I think, I mean, here's my little editorial. It's gonna be tough for her. The jury, nine women.
SPEAKER_02Oh, see, no, I think that's going to assist her. Being the fact nine women, because uh the the loudest voice for postpartum depression comes from the female uh voice, which look, it's a real thing. That's true. Her biggest hurdle, there are three dead kids.
SPEAKER_01But you but that's where see, this is where I differ. Because if there's nine women, mothers uh Oh, you're thinking they're like, how could you do that to your children?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Yeah, you know what? If I knew ages, that might help. No, not the kids, the uh jurors. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Uh I'm like, uh, does it matter?
SPEAKER_02No, no, that doesn't no it because I there probably uh a younger generation is gonna be very much more accepting to hmm, these are things that really happen. Remember, what do we always hear? A lot of people from older generations, and when I'm saying older generations, I don't mean old people. I'm just saying, you know, let's go, you know, 82 and up. All right. If you know, you you were like, Well, you're just supposed to love your child. That's what they were all told. Yeah. Everybody was told that. You are supposed to just love your child. How could this happen? You you just love your child, you get through it, you'll be okay.
SPEAKER_01They must have just pushed through postpartum or forgot.
SPEAKER_02I I don't know. It's the younger, it's the younger voices that have started to get louder about it. And listen, believe me, I know it's a real thing. I'm not taking anything away from that. Except for the fact that she's got an uphill battle because there's three dead kids.
SPEAKER_01Well, they did deliberations yesterday, back today, and she could face mandatory life without parole. We'll see what happens. Of course, if there's anything that breaks during the show, we'll tell you.
