I have uh a couple things I have to share with you really quick. The first one is I have to bring you one of life's simple joys. And you'll you'll get a great kick out of this. So uh and I'm also 87 saying you'll get a great kick out of this. No, this is this is this is one of those little heartwarming moments, and it's one of those simple things in life that will make you smile as New York is getting ready to go back to school. Now, PA's back in school, we know New York's getting set. So the letters have been going out of who has what teachers.

Now, I already told you we have a very we have a very special thing happening in the house. Uh, so Lydia's kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Beam, she's also a friend and a neighbor. Uh, you know, we've gotten to know the family over the years. Yeah. Uh, and great people. So that was her kindergarten teacher. And it just so happened uh after kindergarten, after Lydia finished kindergarten, uh, Mrs. Beam got moved to second grade. And she's been there ever since. So we already knew we kind of we kind of worked a little magic, and Lydia's gonna finish off her Divin school career with Mrs. Beam again.

She probably thrived in that class, so it's so great that she can thrive again. It's just one of those cool experiences. I don't know how many Lydia doesn't struggle in school.

Yeah, and again. Yeah, and again. Uh so at any rate, uh, I don't know how many times people get the same teacher in a situation like that, but that's I've never had that happen. It's pretty cool. So the next thing was is, and the letter came for Gavin and for his teacher. Uh, and that came. Now, there's been kind of I don't know, uh there's been a very small core group. Gavin has friends all over the place. Like he's just one of these kids that he he doesn't make enemies, he makes friends where he goes, right? Yeah, yeah. Not like his father. Um but some things you don't get from your parents, and that's a good thing. That's right. So uh at any rate, I found out last night uh that Gavin, for the first time in two years, has one of his three. There was like the three close ones, one of the three for the first time since third grade is back with Gavin. So I texted him this morning and I go, Hey, Lucas is in your class, and he sends, and it it's gotta be 14 uh E's and S's. He goes, Yes, sir.

How cute is that, first of all. Secondly, I always had this. Me and my girlfriends would call each other, Did you get Mrs. Davis? Yeah. Who got Mr. Belvedere? Who got da da da da? And it was so exciting. And I hated it when like three of my girlfriends would be in a class together and then you're alone?

I was the lone. Oh, they do, because you were the talker. Oh, I'm sure I'm they gotta separate. They always thought, well, don't put those girls together. I should apologize to Piper in advance. That's the teacher, because those two all right, opposite sides of the room, just pointing that out.

Yes. Yes. Or he's listened to this show far too long, and Aunt Alley had an influence. Uh anyway, what you want to hear something really interesting? What? Jerry Seinfeld, you know, we uh in life we go through, we don't realize uh that uh people like Seinfeld and stuff like that actually had failures as they were coming up. You think, well, this guy, he had one of the biggest shows in the 90s.

There was one huge failure at the beginning. I was cast to be a comic relief character on Benson in 1980, when I had just moved out to LA at the age of 26. And I did three episodes, and I showed up for the fourth, and I sat down at the table and I go, How come there's no script for me? And they go, You've been fired. Why are you here? And the agent didn't call me to tell me I was fired. I was already a very dedicated stand-up comedian, but that locked the safe. I went, okay, from now on, nobody else's material. Because I'm doing their crappy material. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So that was a failure that was a great propeller for me.

And that's you turned literally uh well, lemons and a lemonade.

That and I know he ended up becoming a great actor with his own show, which was his own content. But also, you're that young, you're still cutting your teeth on acting. I could see where they didn't really want him. Oh yeah. And also, I just had this conversation with an endorsement recently. I mean, I endorsed Allison Aesthetics. This is no, there's there's no, you know, that that's not a hidden thing. But we were talking about me doing content for them. And I s I said, I'm gonna deliver it this way because this is my words and my experience, and I know that, you know, they have a very, they have a they have a softer touch. You know, there's they're they're a very beautiful I mean my god, you scream soft. Right. Right. They have a very beautiful, sophisticated brand. And I know that that's scream alley. I'm more like a cactus. So I said, but I I just can't imagine delivering it any any other way. And they're like, no, no, we want you be you be you be you, yeah, whatever your experience is with us, whatever your your story is, then do it that way.

And I and I also think at some point there is something in everyone's life that is almost a turning point, and it's almost like I'm gonna make this into what it needs to be. I mean, I I can think of times in my life that it's happened.

So Well, I know you've sat in those meetings as well. You know, if you're endorsing Windows or whatever, well, I I'm gonna say it like this. How many times have you been given a script and you're like, that doesn't sound like at all?
