Couple days ago we got into the old school rumor thing. Do you remember this?
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. It was the um no wait a second. Was this on the podcast or the broadcast?
SPEAKER_02I think it it bled over to the podcast, if I'm not mistaken. Because it was towards the end of a show that you had made mention of one of those classic school rumors that, you know, goes around. I need two words. Hot dog. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_00There you go. I was gonna say one word, gerbil. Okay, that one too.
SPEAKER_02That's where that's where it started, but that wasn't a school one, but the one from school we've many times heard about, and it's cycled for decades.
SPEAKER_00That is on the Not for Air podcast. You can get that on our app. So go on the Wink 106 app and then click on Not for Air because I just listened, I was I was mowing my lawn yesterday, and I just listened to that podcast yesterday. And you did. You mentioned some various rumors from when we were in high school.
SPEAKER_02Well, now more of them pop up thanks to TikTok. And this TikToker shares the best uh responses to what crazy school rumors turned out to be true.
SPEAKER_01A rumor from your school that turned out to be true. My high school was originally designed to be a jail, but people started to build houses near it, so they made it into a school. My school wasn't always a school, it was a hospital. There was always a bad smell in the hallways and the vents. Later on, they discovered a dead body and police were involved. I went to a private religious school and I had physics for my first period senior year. Every day it looked like my teacher would straight roll out of bed to come teach. Every morning he would come out of the chemical room and lock it right behind him, and nobody was allowed in there. We all joked about how he was probably living in the school. Turns out he actually was. He got fired for a separate incident, and the principal made us clean out the classroom. He had an air mattress, pillow, and blanket shoved behind the shelves in the lab. There was kitty litter everywhere in the chemical room. Yes, his cat was living there too.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_00That is insane. That's really sad though. No, it is. Like I would not want to live there, except for the thing that we brought up earlier this week, which I'm gonna reference again because it is on demand. The amazing food that you guys have in the cat in the cafeteria.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that has definitely, definitely picked up over the years.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. I think your standard of eating is way better than what we had.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I started school in what, uh, 88? Somewhere around there.
SPEAKER_02I guess.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, about 88. So from 88 to 2000, graduate I graduated in 2001. There was a different standard of food. It started to get better when I was in high school. Yeah, yeah. But it didn't start great.
SPEAKER_02But you know, I mean to that is sad that that the poor guy had to live there. Jeez.
SPEAKER_00I know. And also, I was thinking when I went about the chemical room, I was like, oh my god, this is breaking bad all over again.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh, I never thought about that. Yes.
SPEAKER_00Yes, he's it's the exact story. Science teacher making meth.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Life colliding, wow.
