I I know we're we're just coming off one relationship thing, but I I have to toss this in because this is perfect. I I I can relate where this guy's coming from. F first of all, number one, the honesty that this man delivers is on point and needs to become more a common practice with relationships. Because this time of year, the likelihood is even if you've had an incredibly busy week and straining and stressful at work, you know your woman's got plans. Oh, absolutely. And this woman really experienced it. I think her reaction really stems from the fact that she didn't like that, even though y'all want honesty, she didn't like hearing the honesty. This is what happened.
SPEAKER_01My husband just informed me that he's had a very long, hard week at work, and so he just wants to enjoy the weekend in a clean house with some delicious home cooked meals. Um, and I said that's great because I know that his mother's gonna love having him for a few days.
SPEAKER_02I love that so much. I yes, I used to say this same thing to an old, old, old, old, old, old, old, old relationship when it would be the uh a little bit of an imbalance of things as far as that goes. I'm like, homie, I work just the same amount of hours as you do. Probably more. If not more. So you can also clean the bathroom and make some soup on a Sunday. And yeah, we're going to a pumpkin patch, okay? That's what we're gonna do.
SPEAKER_00Oh, God, that was great. Okay, so now uh if you guys haven't heard this, this is pretty cool. I realize we are a show of quite a few different generations melding together. I mean, that's the cool part about this. From seven to seventy. But yes, pretty much. Uh, but this is are you TRL generation? I am. Okay, so then this is there's gonna be a lot of people that that this will uh hit home with. TRL, yes, with Carson Daly, is doing a small comeback. The uh reunion is being produced for Roku. So if you got Roku, they they got a bunch of channels. Okay. Uh with uh appearances reportedly filmed already involving people like Jojo. Remember JoJo? Yes, Tule. You got Maya. Oh, yeah, uh Case of the X. Yep, yeah. Uh Ashanti, just here. That's right. Nelly, just here, JC Chazi. Woo-woo! Okay.
SPEAKER_02Uh, and how they're like, we got the one in sinker.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, right. And then other special guests, uh, and this will drop in 2027. I don't know if this excites you. I mean, it might be a one-off, you might, you know, check it out.
SPEAKER_02I I does it excite me. Did you see the reaction when Nellie came on stage?
SPEAKER_00Well, that's true.
SPEAKER_02Everyone was excited. Yes. Even if you, you're right, even if you just watch a little bit, it's a little bit of your like after school nostalgia.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'm like, okay, so I was not the TRL generation. I was already, I was into my career. I was doing, you know, uh uh living my real life at that point. Sure. But I do remember TRL being everything, everywhere for the longest time. What was yours? Depending on your generation, and you guys can text this. Were you a TRL generation? Were you okay? In my in my case, it was cartoons, but very specific. Okay. It was Transformers, He-Man, and then of course this one right here. Yo, Joe! They'll fight for freedom wherever there's trouble. G.I. Joe was there. This was my life as a kid, and your brothers probably.
SPEAKER_02If I was eight, that's what I was watching. But once I became like 13, 14, 15.
SPEAKER_00Don't judge, I probably held on to it way too long.
SPEAKER_02I was watching like Limp Biscuit Nookie on TRL. And they'd be like, for the 65th week in a row, number one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I'm just saying, I mean, I had uh I had my thing, but wait, I'll give you a couple others. Uh, were you uh a Jerry Springer in the after school show?
SPEAKER_02I think mine was Jerry then TRL, and I I don't know if it's I just needed that drama. And I loved when he would give his final thought of the day.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, remember after all the violence, he'd try to come in and be soft.
SPEAKER_02Yes, and what was his sign-off?
SPEAKER_00That's my opinion. What's yours? No, it was like something about like Coleman.
SPEAKER_02Uh wait, wait, wait. Jerry's final, hmm, hold on a second.
SPEAKER_00Uh or was it grandma's soap operas? Okay, my mom. She was a days of our lives and general hospital person till the day she died.
SPEAKER_02Was that oh, okay, here's what Jerry Springer would say.
SPEAKER_00Luke and Laura were still having problems on their deathbed and she watched their wedding.
SPEAKER_02Right after school that was on?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Three o'clock in the afternoon was GH.
SPEAKER_02Uh Jerry Springer, every single day after his final thought, he would say, Take care of yourself and each other. Man, I love Jerry Springer. What that's the dude right there. Yeah, right. He was giving out that good advice.
SPEAKER_00These are your choices after school, uh, back in the day when you were young. TRL, was it the cartoons, but the specific ones, I'm talking like those action ones, not like Looney tunes. Um Jerry Springer, or what, or was it the soaps? What what because everybody this everybody's got something. Except for now. Now you just scroll and you're like, you know, I don't get it.
SPEAKER_02Well, and wait, wait, I'm gonna add one more. Because don't forget about MTV VH1. It might have just been video video. Uh because TRL was on MTV, but then it would go into videos all afterwards.
SPEAKER_00Or no, was TRL in the era where they were doing all the dramas at that point. You had uh the real life, you had uh what was that remote control show?
SPEAKER_02You're thinking of real world.
SPEAKER_00Real world. What did I say?
SPEAKER_02Real remote control was way before that.
SPEAKER_00Okay, remote control. Okay, that but that was like their first what was yours?
