I believe that a lot of Believers today in the Church Age kind of picture their Heavenly Father as looking pretty much like the BIG OL’ JOLLY Ho! Ho! Ho! St. Nick guy himself! You know, someone with a long flowing white beard; rosy bright red cheeks; someone having a BIG, WARM smile on HIS face 24/7! I believe that some Believers imagine our Heavenly Father sitting on HIS throne…tossing out HIS free blessings (i.e. presents) to HIS children…just because they are HIS children!! Way too many Believers have this naive belief that simply because they are children of Yahweh…every good thing that their Heavenly Father has will be theirs someday…simply because HE is their Father (i.e. they’re His children!) Well, if you do think like that, you need to ‘wake yourself up’ from your “Willy-Wonka’ dream world! And then, let your ‘mind think back’ to the time when...except for eight people, that loving and compassionate Creator God purposely drowned all humans on the planet in a flood that He orchestrated! And then think back to the time when that same kind and merciful God got so angry with HIS people whom He had rescued out of Egypt that HE punished and eventually murdered millions of them…because of their whining and grumbling! (A people whom HE had initially rescued out of Egypt because of all the suffering they were going thru! I’d called that ironic!) And think back how time after time this loving, compassionate God sent pagan armies against HIS own people for the purpose of punishing them! And recall…that there was no ‘sign’ of Yahweh’s grace and lovingkindness when HE literally ‘had’ the Nation of Israel wiped off the map! A lot of Believer’s need to stop listening to those false teachers who mislead you with ‘kind and gentle’ words like: Our Heavenly Father is all about LOVE and GRACE and PEACE!
Brethren, the Judgment Seat of Christ is a personal ‘event’ that’s ‘all about’ the born-again Believer! The born-again Believer is the one in the ‘spotlight’! (Now of course being that Yeshua Christ is God…HE already knows IF we DID or DIDN’T DO (it)! HE already knows WHAT (it was) we DID or DIDN’T DO! And HE already knows WHY we DID or DIDN’T DO (it.)) Yeshua Christ has already ‘determined’ WHAT the born-again Believer has done to either honor or dishonor Him, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. P.S. Remember, our sinful flesh will be gone. YEAH! We’ll have sinless, glorified bodies! YEAH! AGAIN. Which means that our sinful flesh (i.e. our sinful emotions and corrupted beliefs) will be gone. So when our savior asks us to tell HIM WHAT we believed biblical Truth to be…and WHY we did what we did. The only words that will come out of our mouths will be words which flow from a sinless but sincere mind. A mind that (now) only knows (to speak) whatever we believed the (real) Truths of Scriptures to be before we died! And those words can either favor us or shame us! And when asked WHY we did what we did (as a Believer), once again the words that out of our mouths will ‘flow’ from a new mind and a heart. A heart that is pure and sincere! The truth on WHY we did what we did (as a Believer) will be honest. Which means the words we speak can be either righteous…or shameful!
