Oh how our Heavenly Father and our savior must love people! Being that I am a born-again Believer in Christ…I can ‘understand’ the need for Christ’s death…IF any human has any hope of ever being saved! However, even as a born-again child of Yahweh, I can’t fully understand the depths of HIS love and HIS Son’s love for sinners! The trinity of Yahweh doesn’t need sinful humans (forgiven or otherwise) in their lives in order to be complete or have a purpose for existing! And being that I am an eternally saved child of Yahweh…I ‘understand’ the need for the pain and suffering the Father ‘put’ HIS only Son thru in order to ‘cover’ my sins! However, what is ‘hard’ for me to truly ‘grasp’ is WHY Yeshua Christ would go thru all of that pain and suffering for people who HE KNEW would reject HIS sacrifice at Calvary! The Scriptures tell us that “FOR THE JOY SET BEFORE HIM…HE ENDURED THE CROSS’! That means that ‘looking past’ the pain and suffering, and looking past all those who would reject HIS love…Yeshua Christ (and HIS Father) ‘saw’ that there would be a FEW who would believe in HIS sacrifice for their sins! And those ‘few’ brought a joy to the Father and the Son’s eyes! WOW! What amazing love!
Most Believers are not taught that Yeshua Christ went thru more than just physical pain and suffering leading up to HIS death on the cross. Our loving savior’s spiritual body also went thru much suffering when (after HIS physical body died), HIS spirit/soul body descended to hell to ‘complete’ the ‘payment’ for mankind’s sins! Yes, you heard me right! While Yeshua Christ’s physical body was dead in the grave…HIS soul/spirit body went to hell to complete the hell sin debt ‘payment’ that all humans ‘owed (to’) a holy and just GOD! You see, it wasn’t enough for Christ to ‘pay’ the physical consequences of mankind’s sinning against Yahweh. Yahweh ‘demanded’ that the ‘hell debt consequences’ (i.e. spiritual body consequences) for mankind’s sins also needed to be paid for! The ‘wages of sin is death’ doesn’t just apply to our physical bodies! It also applies to our spiritual bodies! In other words, being that ALL humans are sinners…we all deserve an eternal punishment (of both our physical and spiritual bodies because of our sins. Yes, like the Rich Man who woke up in hell (in his spiritual ‘body’) being in agony in the flames…a human’s soul/spirit ‘body’ is also worthy of death (because of sin)!
