First cattle process at new Sustainable Beef plant
By George Lauby, The North Platte Bulletin The first loads of cattle were delivered to the new Sustainable Beef packing house the morning of May 28, the first day of operation at the one-of-a-kind plant located in North Platte, Neb. The initial load consisted of three head of black Angus cattle from Rusty Kemp, a rancher near Tryon, Neb. That was followed by a semi-load of 40 head of black Angus from the Olson Farms, headquartered near Hershey, Neb.
