Guess your own Cattle On Feed report: June 2025
By Matt Dabrowski It’s time to guess your own Cattle On Feed report. The next report will be released Friday, June 20. Cattle futures were volatile in May. Live cattle futures were flat on the month and feeder cattle rose 2.1%, trailing the commodities index (up 2.0%) and stocks (up 6.2%). Auction markets remained in record territory. Late in the month USDA reported sales in South Dakota, feeder steers averaged 5/cwt, flat on the month. Flyweight steers averaged 9/cwt, also flat. At Ft. Pierre (S.D.)
