She calls herself the career Doctor, yes that one who is qualified to treat people who are ‘ill’ with regard to their satisfaction on their jobs.
Kemi Oye at a very young dreamed of becoming a newsreader, so she would always imagine herself in front of millions of viewers ‘dressed to kill’ speaking with such eloquence that inspired people.
However as she progressed in life, by intentionally exploring her purpose, passions and personality, she found a new path similar to that of a newsreader. Right now Kemi Oye feels like she is living her dream girl life by using her voice and natural skills to drive the true discovery of people and businesses, but in the capacity of a HR professional, Career Coach, Speaker and Trainer.
She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, and through her HR career, she has led a number of complex change management projects and workforce initiatives, that has shaped the delivery of a high performance culture within various culturally and geographically diverse organizations.
She is also a certified ICF coach, and fondly called the Career Doctor because she helps professionals discover their perfect career match so that they can be more fulfilled and rewarded doing work they love. When she is not coaching professionals, she is busy learning new gospel songs to lead in her local church; helping teens develop leadership competencies and training new members on the principles of Christian living.
It is an honour and privilege to have her on this episode of the Word Café Podcast to share the story of her journey in actualizing her dream in the arena of personal development
