The Word Café Podcast with Amax
My unique message to the world is the power behind the words of our mouths. We have made light of it but cannot escape the fruits thereof. For me, words are the unit of creation, the building block on which our existence evolves. This podcast is for everyone who wants to better their living by using words and applying themselves wisely. I will be using the storytelling style fused with imaginative nuances to transport the listener to that place, where possibilities are not luxuries but everyday experiences; movie in voice.
This podcast will emphasize the power of routine, and what you repeatedly do, you most likely build capacity and expertise for what you repeatedly do. My podcast will help the listener learn how to practice success because the same amount of time you use in complaining is the same you can use to plant, build, prune, etc. I intend to draw the listener's attention to the power of their words.

S4 Ep. 273 Surrender At The Feet Of Truth
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A simple question from a child—why lie on the floor when the bed is right there—opens a larger conversation about surrender, pride, and the quiet strength of being conquered by truth. We share the tender origin of this practice in a mother’s floorbound prayers, then follow the thread through the teachings of Jesus, the moment when people walked away from hard words, and the steadiness of those who stayed because they knew where life was found. This is a story about posture as a language: not of defeat, but of availability; not of servitude, but of servanthood; not of lack, but of alignment.
Across this conversation, we unpack why embodied humility matters when life feels loud and frantic. The floor becomes a symbol and a strategy—lowering ourselves enough to hear what ego drowns out, choosing attention over activity, and letting truth live through us. Mary and Martha step into view as a map for modern attention: one running on expectations, the other sitting close, conquered by a word that reorders priorities. We explore how surrender reframes strength, why resistance masquerades as busyness, and how a daily practice of going low can tether us to meaning when storms rise.
By the end, the invitation is simple and demanding: trade image for integrity, motion for listening, and the pressure to win for the freedom to be led. If you’ve ever felt torn between doing more and becoming more, this reflection offers language, story, and a repeatable practice to help you choose well. Subscribe for more grounded conversations, share this episode with someone who needs a gentler way to be strong, and leave a review to tell us how surrender is reshaping your days.

A Child’s Question About The Floor
Conquered By Truth, Not Defeat
SPEAKER_01There are certain positions you take in life that speaks volume. So my children always wonder why Daddy likes the floor. Why does he like lying down? So one of those days my walk my daughter, ten year old, walked into the room and she saw me on the floor again. And she said, Daddy, why are you lying down on the floor like one conquered? And I mused and laughed. I said, Yes, I have been conquered by the truth. So there's nothing I can do but to lie down at the feet of the truth.
SPEAKER_02So this is one thing I learned from my mother growing up.
SPEAKER_01She prayed. She was a woman of prayer. Her posture was always on the floor. She lies down and she prays her heart out, battling and all of that. I used to, you know, like my daughter walking on her praying, and all I do is I take that same position or that posture. There are certain postures you take that will only reveal the victory. Like my daughter said, you are lying down like one conquered.
SPEAKER_02A lot of us, a lot of us, we we exhibit certain character attitude because we have been conquered.
Jesus, Conquest, And Surrender
SPEAKER_01And he or the conqueror is now living his life or her life through us. The story of Jesus is one of conquest. You know, those who walked with him, those who followed him, those who, you know, he always taught things, he always said things, and the only way they could appreciate it, leave it was to be conquered. And one of those episodes when he was speaking, he was teaching, and those words were so heavy, and people started leaving. They didn't want to be conquered. And he turned to his disciples and like, okay, what about you? And they said to him, we're going nowhere.
SPEAKER_02You have what we need. So if you conquer us, so be it.
SPEAKER_01So over the years I've come to see that most of the things I do as a person, it's from a place of one who has been conquered. Not by self, not by pride. They're conquered by the truth. So I try my best.
The Posture Of Availability
SPEAKER_00So my children always, they always come and they always say, Daddy, why do you like lying down on the floor? There's so much around here. The bed is there, cheers at the bed, why do you like it? And when I tell them the reason, they they seem not to understand it. You must have that comfortable position in life to fight.
At The Master’s Feet
Letting Truth Lead And Guide
SPEAKER_01You must take that comfortable position. So, what's that comfortable position? A position of the conquered. Yeah. The conquered. You know that he who has conquered you, he who has taken over your life is now leaving his essence through you. So, do you want to, should I say, change that position? No, because the conqueror does his best with the conquered or to the conquered. Will I keep lying down? Will I keep taking that posture? It's not a posture of defeat, it's a posture of surrender. It is not a posture of lack. It's a posture of availability. It is not a posture of servitude, but it is a posture of servanthood being conquered. I don't want to leave it. I don't want to change this position in life. So I'll go through life. I'll go through everything taking this posture every day of my life, lying down, not on the floor of death, not on the floor of dust, but at the feet of the master, at the feet of him who had conquered me. Well, if you say that is detestful, I don't think so. I remember again one of the stories, Mary and Martha. One sat at the feet of the master to listen to his word conquered, while the other was just running everywhere, going from one place to the other. And the question came up, and the master answered, your sister has taken the best position, sitting or lying down at the feet of the master. Life can throw you a lot of challenges. Life can bring a lot. But listen, at the feet of the master, lying down, that's where you are you find the answer. So I will continue to lie down because I have been conquered by the truth. There's no shame. There's nothing to hide. There's nothing to conceal from the truth. But right now I want the truth to wash over me. I want to be enveloped by the truth.
SPEAKER_02I want the truth to lead me, to guide me. Beautiful. Daddy has been conquered.
