Hello, I'm India, and welcome to start a ripple, the podcast that celebrates moving in nature. You see, I believe ripples are made when we connect movement with nature, not only our mind and body, but also the environment to. Here's a little bit about my background. As a former dancer, I found yoga after struggling with anxiety, and the unforgiving pressures that can be felt in the performance industry. After what felt like a mid 20s crisis, I changed my mindset and started focusing on what fueled myself instead of what felt expected. I left London moved to the Kent coast, trained as a yoga teacher and developed a passion for water sports, especially paddleboarding. The more time I spent by and on the water, the more I noticed a positive impact on my own mental and physical health. Not only this, I wanted to give back and protect the coastline that was giving me so much joy, and started running regular beach cleans and fundraising initiatives for environmental charities. I believe small ripples make big waves for the mind, body and our natural environment. The more time we spend being kind to ourselves and our natural world, the more we can live a happy, healthy life. I want to speak with people who embody this belief. And hope the conversations that come from this podcast will encourage you to get outside and dream big, just like my guests have done. Make sure you subscribe to this podcast so you don't miss an episode. And if you like what you're hearing, please write a review. It will help other like minded souls find this podcast too.
