New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest Podcast

Episode 85 - David Borchart

Vin Coca, Beth Lawler, Paul Nesja Season 2 Episode 85

On part 2 of this week's episode, we interview cartoonist, David Borchart.  David talks about his very early experiences as a cartoonist (he knew he wanted to be a cartoonist since he was 7 years old!) as well as his experiences at the New Yorker. We have a lively discussion about the caption contest and discover that some hitchhikers are okay to pick up.

Vin was a bit under the weather for this episode so he unwisely allowed Paul and Beth to go on without him. He’ll know better for next time! David Borchart was also a bit under the weather, but managed to make it to the end, where he announces his body temperature. This announcement is for entertainment purposes only, please, no gambling!

David was on the Cartoon Pad Podcast recently with Bob Eckstein and Michael Shaw. He was a good friend of the great George Booth and has some great stories to tell there. Check out that podcast here:
