Steady Making It

Episode 6: Irregular Periods, Body Confidence, and What It’s Like to Live with PCOS ft. Chiena Brie and Sarah Okorafor

Tobi Idowu

September is PCOS Awareness Month and in today’s episode, Chiena, Sarah, and I discuss what it’s like to live with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is a hormonal imbalance that affects 1 in 10 women in the US  and its exact cause is unknown. We talk about how we got diagnosed, our symptoms, our experience with doctors, birth control, body confidence, mental health, fertility concerns, and more.

Chiena is a Certified Personal Trainer and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome advocate. She has spent much of her life struggling with PCOS,  and after years of research and experimentation, has learned how to overcome PCOS symptoms completely naturally and wants to help other women achieve the same liberation.

Sarah is a Project Manager, wife, and mom who loves adventures and reading leadership and personal development books.  Sarah is still struggling with PCOS and learning how to manage it.
