 We all know we can’t know everything. In fact, we can’t know most things or neither most of any one thing…, and the truth is…, we don’t need to. We haven’t needed to.

 Right now, and for many years now, we have known all we needed to know to live up until this moment…, right? The proof is in simply being in the moment…, in this moment as we are…. This moment wherein I bet that at worst you are at least ok… 

 Did I win the bet? I hope so. Because if I won that bet…, it means you are winning in terms of being ok most of the time.   

 I believe this is true for many, me included who, from time to time have episodes of anxiety and fear about the future.

Being a Mindfulness practitioner…, and before I open with the quote of this day, I invite you to join me in a mindfulness affirmation… Ready…. First…, take a deep breath with me…. That felt good, right? Now…, repeat after me…, It is Now O’ Clock…. I am… I am here … I am here now… I am open to be inspired.  

Now…, let’s take another deep breath.

Of course…, you can affirm your mindfulness and do the breathing exercise on your own or with someone else, and I strongly recommend you do. Make it at least a twice daily routine. But if you also want to do it with me…, let’s do it.

 I believe this mindfulness affirmation will help tune your sense of presence…, your mindful sense of presence in the only occasion that matters in your life…Now.

Sometimes not knowing can cause anxiety and fear. But we must tear through those veils if we are to make the next steps.

The quote of this day is: TO BE AND TO DO

Not knowing the future is simply being human. It is still ok to imagine what is around the corner…, the boogie man under the bed …, or to dream beautiful dreams even if they don’t come true. You will always have Now, to Be as you are and to Do as you will…, unquote 

 We all know we can’t know everything. In fact, we can’t know most things or neither most of any one thing…, and the truth is…, we don’t need to. We haven’t needed to.

 Right now, and for many years now we have known all we needed to know to live up until this moment…, right? The proof is in simply being in the moment…, in this moment as we are…. This moment wherein I bet that at worst you are at least ok… 

 Did I win the bet? I hope so. Because if I won that bet…, it means you are winning in terms of being ok most of the time.   

 I believe this is true for many, me included who, from time to time have episodes of anxiety and fear about the future. 

But I remind myself that the future is a thought experiment. 

How many times had we expected the worst and it turned out to be less than the worst, something good or good news…? often enough…, right?

Just as there is a million things that can go wrong…, there is a billion things than can go right… and being in the here and now is proof that, again, most of the time we are ok or good enough for now.

 But it is up to us to find the way to calm ourselves down when experiencing episodes of fear and anxiety about the future…, about the unknown. 

 Yeah right…, you may be saying. Ok. Then check this out. Most of us believe that tomorrow will come to pass and that we will be in it…, right?  But tomorrow is about time…, not about life or thoughts…., not about your life or thoughts..., not about my life or thoughts. 

 It is more likely that tomorrow will come to pass than it is that you or I will be in it..., right? 

 The bottom line is…, that it is up to us to challenge ourselves to manage our fears and anxieties or seek help when they pop up. A shift in perspective may help…, starting with it being up to you to be as you are and do as you will with respect to the present, the future, the unknown.
