In this episode, I introduce and preview my new publication that re-interprets the global response to the covid epidemic through the lens of Depth Psychology.
In the zine's first two chapters I outline and overview the core teachings of Carl Jung and Stanislav Grof. Here I focus on their findings that there is a "transpersonal" dimension to the human psyche. This discussion sets the stage for the zine's third chapter, which looks at the link between Depth Psychology and Astrology. Here I look at the astrological dynamics underlying the global response to Covid. In the zine's final chapter, I discuss the theme of "death-rebirth" and analyze how this current moment in time indicates a death of "scientific materialism" and a rebirth of the philosophy of the sacred.
