The feelings we have around our parents will change from person to person—whether we felt they were present, absent, or anywhere in between. Regardless of our upbringing, we're all expected to honor those who have raised us, whether we want to or not.
How do you do this when it seems impossible? The Gospel. It free us to be obedient and extend grace in broken situations.
Being a parent and being a child are both difficult, but they're attainable. It starts with daily repentance.
