LOTL Media - Queer Conversation
LOTL Media is the evolution of 35 years of lesbian publishing into a modern platform for women who shape the world.
Through our flagship series Queer Conversation, we speak with bold thinkers, community builders, survivors, creators, and system‑changers, women whose lives and work move culture forward.
Our lens is queer, our focus is impact.
We highlight women who live authentically, challenge norms, and contribute to social, political, and cultural change.
New conversations regularly.

LOTL Media - Queer Conversation
LOTL speaks with writer‑director V. T. Nayani and editor Maureen Grant on crafting the film
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This Place follows the emerging love between two young women whose connection is shaped — and complicated — by the histories their families carry. Set against the legacies of loss, migration, and displacement, the film explores identity, belonging, and the courage it takes to love across cultural lines.
In this Queer Conversation, LOTL speaks with writer‑director V. T. Nayani and editor Maureen Grant about crafting this intimate feature, the collaborative process behind the film’s emotional rhythm, and the importance of telling queer stories rooted in diaspora experiences. They discuss how the film weaves together themes of family, culture, and queer identity to create a story that resonates deeply with audiences.
This Place screens in Australia as part of Queer Screen and WorldPride:
Sat, Feb 25 — 4:15pm
Dendy Cinema Newtown
