Queerstories creator Maeve Marsden makes her playwriting debut with Blessed Union, a hilarious and heartfelt lesbian divorce comedy starring Danielle Cormack and Maude Davey. Sharp, warm, and wickedly observant, the play dives into the chaos, tenderness, and unexpected humour that comes with unravelling a long-term relationship — especially when queer family, community, and history are part of the mix.
Maeve also reflects on the extraordinary journey of Queerstories, now seven years strong with more than 300 stories on the podcast and a special WorldPride edition taking the stage at Riverside’s National Theatre of Parramatta. She speaks about the importance of queer storytelling, the evolution of the project, and why centring LGBTQIA+ voices remains vital.
