Show Notes

In Episode 13 of the SheRecovery Podcast, Crystal chats with Carol Larson. In this interview, Carol shares her story which began at a very young age striving to live up to the Good Christian Girl standard. She explains how striving for the elusiveness of perfection, especially as it pertained to sexual purity, caused her sexuality to shutdown all together. Then, when life didn't go as planned (prolonged singleness), she became entrapped by pornography in her 30s and 40s. Now 60 and a licensed professional counselor, Carol offers the hope of Jesus for your own recovery by sharing about her own.

Carol is a counselor, author, speaker, teacher, and Bible study leader. Carol has a passion for helping women know they are not alone in their addictions. She desires to educate on how the body, mind and soul are interconnected and in need of God’s love, forgiveness and healing. Carol has been in recovery from an addiction to perfectionism and pornography for 20 years and knows she is a child of God – redeemed, renewed, and restored by His grace.
