Like Adam our relationship with God can be restored through faith. Adam's sin affected you and it affected me. But God sent his son and through we can have that relationship restored. But what about Paradise, can be Paradise regained? When we turn to the end of the and get down to the last chapter in the bible, it tells us the answer to that question. The end of the bible is the book of Revelation, and it describes for us a new heaven and a new earth where there would no longer be a curse upon redeemed human beings. According to revelation the last book of the bible a new Paradise and the tree of life will again be there. Let me conclude by reading from those closing verses of the bible. 

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

In short paradise is regain-able you cannot read Genesis 3 and understand it in the context of the whole Bible without relating it to Revelation 22. Paradise was indeed lost in Genesis chapter 3. We witness Paradise regained fully in Revelation chapters 21 and 22. In the meantime, whilst we remain outside that perfect place and for now, we are called simply to serve him and tend the garden and till the ground. Prepare the ground for harvest. I think in a simple sense he is saying keep occupied with the work of the kingdom until I return for you.  

What do we do as we wait for the paradise to be restored? We work, and we wait for his coming. We're going to have a garden given to us that's even better than the garden Adam lost. - Wow. 

Do you watch the news, and do you think it really seems as if things are getting worse and worse all the time? But believers are not just waiting to see what happens in the next election. We're not just waiting to see what happens in the next political debate What we as Christians are also waiting for paradise to be restored. Keep your eyes on Him and keep working for the Lord. This ought to change our perspective as we face our day. Remember we're going to have a new heaven and new earth and new Jerusalem with a new garden. With a tree of life where we live forever. 

What once was great has fallen. Humanity today stands in ruins. Sin and rebellion ruined us. However, there is hope because by surrendering your life to God it is like asking God himself to move in and beginning the work of rebuilding and restoring you.  When you trust Jesus Christ, God by His Holy Spirit moves in and as that you cooperate with him the Lord slowly begins to rebuild you completely in His likeness. Paradise is truly regain-able through Christ and it's a whole lot bigger and better than we could ever imagine…. Even so come Lord Jesus
