The Bible Project Daily Podcast
Why not make Studying the Bible part of the rhythm of your daily life. The Bible Project Daily Podcast is a 10 year plan to study through the entire Bible, both Old and New Testament, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Season one is a short overview of each of the sixty-six books of the Bible. Season two launched our expositional journey through the whole Bible beginning with the book of Genesis. Thereafter each season take a New Testament/Old Testament alternatively until the project is complete. (God willing) Why not join me on this exciting journey as we study the whole Bible together from Genesis to Revelation.

Today, we step into 2 Samuel 23, a chapter that feels like a deep breath near the end of a long journey. The battles are mostly behind us. The rebellions have quieted. The kingdom has weathered storms, heartbreak, and restoration. And now the narrative slows down and gives us something precious.... David’s final recorded words.
The last words Scripture preserves as his official testimony — a poetic reflection on leadership, covenant, and the kind of life that shines with God’s light. They read like a benediction, a legacy, a window into the mind of a man who has walked with God through triumph and failure, joy and sorrow, and courage beyond the collapse.
Chapter 23 gives us two gifts:
1. David’s Final Words — A Vision of Leadership Under God
2. The Mighty Men — Stories of Courage and Loyalty
This chapter is about legacy — not a legacy of power or perfection, but the legacy of a life shaped by God and surrounded by faithful companions. In doing so I believe it invites us to reflect on: The kind of people we are becoming. The kind of leaders we should follow, the kind of courage we admire, and the legacy we should hope to leave
