Let them - Is Mel Robbins Really A Fraud?
Alright, pretties, let’s get into it! There’s been some buzz around Mel Robbins’ latest book Let Them - not just because it’s another powerhouse of motivational wisdom, but because some folks are raising eyebrows over whether the core concept actually originated from someone else.
We’re talking about Cassie Phillips, who shared a very similar idea before Robbins’ book hit the shelves. Now, Mel is known for taking big, impactful messages and making them digestible, relatable, and oh-so-quotable. But when it comes to crediting original ideas, is there a line that’s been crossed?
And because I love a good analogy, I’m tying this into a fascinating Netflix documentary about McDonald’s (yes, really). Idea theft isn’t new... it happens in business all the time. So where do we draw the line between inspiration, adaptation, and straight-up copying?
