Revelation 6: Fully Trusting Jesus, the Faithful Witness! (1:5)

Theophilus

Today, I share how Jesus is the faithful witness, one of the names of Jesus the Father revealed especially for the book of Revelation.  These names of Jesus are meant to strengthen and empower us for the future.  When we look at these names in an End Times context, we can interpret them more clearly.

If you have trust issues with God, I believe listening to this episode could be helpful.

In Greek, the word "witness" also carries the meaning of the word martyr.  As we know, Jesus also died for His Witness of the truth of God's Word!

His declaration of truth  not only brought Him to a cross, but God delivered Him from the grave three days later, thereby confirming Jesus's testimony as true.

In a world full of fake news and a multitude of opinions, knowing the One Person and the One Testimony we can absolutely trust will help us navigate these crazy times safely and securely!

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1.   Do you feel like you can trust God?  Why or why not?  If something has happened in the past, which keeps you from trusting God fully, why not explore that issue a little further?  If you need to forgive God, yourself, or another person, then go through the process of doing so.  That issue could be what's keeping you from hearing God more clearly.

2.  In your own words, what does it mean for Jesus to be a faithful witness?

3.  Why do you think this is an important End Times revelation of Jesus Christ?  How will this name of Jesus embolden and empower people to be faithful witnesses in a time of persecution?

4.  We have all come to believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ by grace through faith.  It's still another thing to trust in a Person.  What will it take for you to trust Jesus in a stronger way this next year?

5.  How can knowing the Word of God more extensively and deeply enable you to trust Jesus more?

ACTION STEPS

1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast.
2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.
3.  Do a topical study on a few or many verses which speak about God and Jesus being truthful, honest, and trustworthy.  The more those truths get inside of you, the stronger your trust will be in the word of God, since you'll be trusting a Person Who is the Truth and cannot lie!
