Revelation 11: Jesus' End-Time Family Reunion: All Israel Shall Be Saved! (1:7)

Theophilus

In today's episode, we talk about the response of the Jews to the return of Jesus Christ.  The Bible states that when the Jews look on the One whom they have pierced, they will mourn for Him, like a firstborn son.

What does all that entail?

Do you know how Jesus feels about the Jewish people?

Why are Jerusalem and the Jewish people so central to End Time events?

What is God's purpose and plan for the Jews in the End Times and throughout eternity?

What does it mean for "all Israel to be saved?"

And what Old Testament story holds some interpretive keys to this mystery of the Jewish people and their ultimate reunion with their brother Messiah?

We will answer questions like these in this podcast episode.  If you've ever wondered why we should have a "heart for the Jews," or if you've ever wanted to cultivate a heart for the Jews, this episode is for you!

Listen to find out more!

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1.   John makes reference to a couple of Old Testament verses in Revelation 1:7.    Why is it important to see the "threads of connection" between the Old Testament and the New Testament?   Why did John use those reference verses?  What was he communicating about Jesus' return?

Special tip:  We may think we know any given reference, and, therefore, forgo investigation, but going back to search it out often yields so much more information than we'd expect.

2.  How does the story of Joseph help us to understand End Time events more clearly?  Reflect on how Jesus always spoke in parables, when He walked the Earth.  Both in and beyond Joseph's story, consider how Bible narrative can confirm, help interpret, and even reveal further clues as to the prophetic Scriptures.

How many other Bible stories have these interpretive keys??  Pray for eyes to see, but also be on the lookout for what God may show you.

3.   What steps can you take to stand in solidarity with the Jewish people?   What we practice now, we'll more easily be able to do later on under pressure.  (Consider Matthew 25:31-46)

4.  How can knowing and understanding Jesus's heart for the Jews help you have more compassion for the Jewish people?   Pray that God would give you His heart for the Jewish people!

5.  Even though "all Israel shall be saved" someday, there are many Jews perishing without Christ today.  Pray for the salvation of the Jews, that they'd come to see their Messiah for Who He is now!
