Revelation 17: Protection and Endurance for the Times Ahead in the Kingdom and Patience of Jesus Christ! (1:9)

Theophilus

Today we return to our study in the book of Revelation.

Last time we were together, we had spoken about how tribulation is foundational to a believer's life, and that John was our brother and companion in tribulation.   In other words, he is with us "in the trenches."

We travel further into Revelation 1:9 to talk about what it means to be "in the kingdom" and "in the patience of Jesus Christ."   Through John, the Holy Spirit chose to share these particular truths with us, because He knew we would need them for the journey ahead.

What does it mean to be "in the kingdom?"  Does that afford us special protections?   I think this discussion will bring great peace, assurance, and comfort to you, knowing you are under Jesus' kingship, and, therefore, His jurisdiction.

We also talk about something we all desperately need, but nobody likes to pray for (wink, wink) ... patience!  I thank God that it's Jesus' patience and not mine!

How and why does God seek to cultivate this patience in our lives?  Why will it be necessary to endure until the end?  And, how can we partner with God to become strengthened in our faith through exercising the patience of Jesus Christ?

These issues that touch our lives both now and into the future!  We want to pay attention to every revelation, forewarning, and advantage that God wants to give us from the book of Revelation, so as to become ready for whatever comes.

If you're longing for the security that only God can bring, and the endurance to make it through wilderness of future trials, listen to the podcast to learn more!

Revelation 15: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 1)

Revelation 16: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 2)

2.  Here's the episode, where I discuss Jesus as the good shepherd over our lives.  It fits in nicely with what it means to be in Christ's kingdom, under His rule and reign.  Please listen if you'd like to learn more about and meditate on Jesus' continual and unsurpassed care for your life.

Revelation 5: Understanding how the Good Shepherd and the Holy Spirit Help Us in the End Times! (1:4)
