My father was a factory man in India, in Delhi, and we moved to Canada, and when we moved to Canada, he was still a factory man in Toronto and we grew up with lack. We were never abundant in regards to money. We also grew up with confusing idea about money. On one hand, they said study hard, get a good job so you can get good salary. On the other hand, they said you know, don a good job so you can get a good salary. On the other hand, they said, you know, don't be greedy, don't have too much money.
Speaker 2:Welcome to Inspire Someone Today podcast, a show where we dive into the stories and insights that has the power to create ripples of inspiration in your life. I'm your host, shrikanth, and I'm thrilled to be with you on this journey of inspiration in your life. I am your host, shrikant, and I am thrilled to be with you on this journey of inspiration. Welcome back, my dear listeners, for part two of this two-part series in conversation with Sunil Tulsiani. If part one was exalting, hold on part two for lot more insights, lot more ideas, without much further ado, presenting you part two of this conversation with Sunil Tulsiani, as you're talking all of these things, sunilji, one thing that is kind of coming to my mind is this whole ability of thinking big. How does that, or where does that come from and how do you kind of create that mentality ability of thinking big? How does that, or where does that come from and how do you kind of create that mentality, mindset, of thinking big?
Speaker 1:the idea there is high majority of the people are trained to think small, whether it's school, whether you know, because go to school, get good grades and go get a job. That's the mentality. That's a template. You take this course, you're going to make this much. That's a template. You take this course, you're going to make this much money. If you're going to take this course, you're going to get. If you go MBA, then you're going to make a little bit more If you do PhD. This is what it is. If you're a doctor, engineer, lawyer, then you're going to make this much.
Speaker 1:If you're a janitor, you're as for tens of thousands of years not because to 8,000 years ago or before that for thousands of years we're just fighting. Human beings were fighting for land, fighting for whatever kingdom or whatever it is. You know all that stuff. So there's a survival mode that Maslow talks about. So Roti Kaprar Makan basically is like the lowest level, and then the security is on top of that. So most people actually end up living in the security and the the minimum thing that I need, which is food, shelter and water, basically, and clothing.
Speaker 1:So one of the things you can do to think big is to read books, listen to podcasts like this kind of podcast, listen to smart, intelligent people who have gone from nothing to something big. So I have, normally, when I'm doing podcasts, I have books that I would say. First is, I have this book called Think and Grow Rich. I must've read this book maybe, I don't know 30 or 40 times. So if you read this book once, let's say 10 years ago, you're like, oh, I read this book. That's not good enough. You read it. It's classic. Why is it classic? Well, 500 of the most successful human beings were interviewed and the books is a result of that, a formula Okay, when you read it for the first time, second time, third time, you will not get even 5% of the value, because we are not capable, unless you're a genius. You know that's different. Okay, that's one.
Speaker 1:Number two Science of Getting Rich. Science of Getting Rich was written, originally written by Wallace D Warrill, released in 1910, which means it was before Think and Grow Rich. But it was not as popular and a lot of stuff from Science of Getting Rich were then put into Think and Grow Rich. And there's a movie from Ronna Burns called the Secret. In the Secret movie, or the book, she said she lost everything and then one day, one book came into her life that changed everything, and now she's making. She made a secret. It was the Science of Getting Rich book. Okay Now, the original Science of Getting Rich book is pretty thin, but very hard to read because it's the 18th century English language, which is very hard.
Speaker 1:So what I did with my mentee is I, during COVID times, I upgraded that Science of Getting Rich book that is usually one like pretty thin. I made it for the 2024, 2025 year, made a simple English language, added the stuff that he did not have, for example, social media and some of the techniques that we have today, and also added not only like philosophy, but added the techniques to it itself. So this book the Science of Getting Rich, by the way, anyone who wants the copy of the Science of Getting Rich book anybody wants it. I will be willing to give them the digital copy 100% free, if we sell it for $10 online and Amazon will give it away. Any of your listeners will give this copy away. This would be our New Year's gift for them as well. So this Science of Getting Rich book, you're very welcome and whether you buy my new version or the old version, it doesn't matter, I want you to read it. I must have read before writing this book during COVID. I must have read again 45 to 50 times to come up with this idea, mastering it.
Speaker 1:Then the next book is Rich Dad, poor Dad. It's a concept of thinking big, thinking differently, the concept of you should not work for income, you should work for assets, and then asset then brings income. And then there's another book that I would say from my friend, robert Kiyosaki is Cashflow Quadrant. I believe that these two books with Step Forward and Cashflow Quadrant, I would say would be your next best thing and the last thing that I have. It's self-serving, but it's a book called the Secret to Wealth by me and Robert Brian Tracy me and Brian Tracy In here I talk about how do you become a real estate millionaire. So some of these ones are. This is how you start thinking big by listening to people, maybe even reading or watching videos of people who were nothing. They became successful, they lost everything, then they became successful again and they became big. So follow them and see if they can do it. Then I can do it. So remind yourself that it costs basically the same energy to think small versus thinking big.
Speaker 2:That's a powerful statement, or a powerful affirmation that it costs the same time and energy. So why not think big than thinking small? Yes, and talking about thinking big, you are on a big mission of creating 100 million years. What was the idea behind it?
Speaker 1:give us a brief about what this project is all about yes, you know, my father was a factory man in india, in delhi, and we moved to Canada. And when we moved to Canada, he was still a factory man in Toronto and we grew up with lack. We were never abundant in regards to money. We also grew up with confusing idea about money. On one hand, they said study hard, get a good job so you can get good salary. On the other hand, they said you know, don't be greedy.
Speaker 1:Don't have too much money and on one hand they fight about the money, on the other hand they say rich people are bad. So I grew up with that concept. But my issue was that my parents, my relatives, my extended family, religious leaders that we used to follow the pandits, that we used to listen to the wise men, sometimes in the areas that we used to follow the pundits, that we used to listen to the wise men, sometimes in the areas that we used to live, that we used to look up to they basically had one mission about money. Money is bad, poor people are good. That was basically the mission that they gave me. So I would say I'd been there where you know, struggling for money Every decision is based on can I afford it?
Speaker 1:Every decision about everything basically is all about save, save, save money. I remember being in Toronto where we had the money, but we still went to a grocery store and at the back of the grocery store they had the old vegetables and fruits and donuts and breads that were older, that were about to expire, and they would be 30% off, 40% off, 50% off. And all these years my mother just would go to there and I used to ask her why aren't we buying this beautiful apple rather than this ugly looking apple? And she said, son, you don't understand. You know every drop counts, every penny counts. Penny saved is a penny earned. You don't understand, right? Boon boon se, samudar banta hai, you know that kind of attitude. I have never seen anybody do that. Boon boon se, or penny you save. A penny, that's a penny. How many lives do you have to live to become multimillionaire? To save pennies? It's not going to work. Maybe 0.00001% person somehow got lucky, did it, but it's just not that. That won't happen. So I've seen which clothes you wear, which university you go to, what kind of house you live in, what kind of amenities you have. Do you have AC versus sitting in 45 degree heat? Because now you're saying I don't need an AC and you can't even work because you know you're melting. And so every decision is based on 99%, in my view, based on can I afford it? Can I afford it?
Speaker 1:I became what I thought I would never become, which is an influencer or a coach or a mentor, or people look up to me and say you know you've changed my life. Do you know, many years ago, when somebody came to me and said you know, you changed my life. And that was the first time I heard it. I used to think that that's like some politician, some big guy, some you know somebody, not me. I'm just a regular person. Now people start to come to me again and again and again you changed my life. You changed my life.
Speaker 1:I remember a story where I was in a mall with my spouse and at that time, you know, after one hour of shopping, I'm done For her. She's just starting, you know. So I was sitting outside, I had my ear pods, I was listening to a podcast. I said you go, I'll sit on the bench, you know, and I'll come and see you. And somebody came running to me and, you know, said, and I took it off my ears and I said, yes, she goes. You're Sunil Tosani, right? I said yes. She said, oh my God, oh my God. I've been following you.
Speaker 1:I attended one of your events five years ago and my husband wants to see you. I said, okay, I'm fine. So she ran, she brought her husband there was a little boy, one or two kids, I can't remember now and the guy said I came to your event, I implemented your strategies. My wife had to work, not wanted to work. She had to work and we had two babies, two kids, and she had to go and give these kids to somebody else daycare. And she had to go and she hated it every day. They implemented it. She said because of you, we learned how to make $2,000, not millions of dollars $2,000 a month from real estate. Okay, that $2 thousand dollars bought his wife to stay home and now she stayed with the kids for five years because of that one turning point and her husband became a real estate millionaire, not even knowing I didn't even know who he was. Now they go to their children this is, this is uncle, and he's the one we talk about all the time. He's the one they're talking about me to their children.
Speaker 1:Okay, that day I realized the impact that is being made. It's not just about money. Yes, we want to make a lot of money, but the what we do with the tool of money is more important. And I realized I got to make more millionaires and multimillionaires. And then I became bold. I said I don't care if you're a single mother, I don't care if you're young, I don't care if you're in your sixties or 70s, I don't care what you don't speak English, I don't care where you live, you can do it.
Speaker 1:So since then I've had like women who came to me and said I'm a single mother, I'm in my mid 60s, I'm 65, 66 years old, I'm about to say bye. I'll have a few more years, you know, but I really deep down want to be a millionaire. So I said would you follow my guidance? Yes, she hired me as her mentor and within a year and a half she became not only a millionaire, but then she's inspiring other women to become wealthy. Now imagine how that feels from this side. So I had to pick one thing. I said you know what can I do for the world? And what I can do for the world is to help them make lots of money. And that is my gift from God, that is coming from God through me to people. It's not mine, I'm not the genius, I'm connected with the genius, and the genius sends these ideas and the biggest thing that I didn't know, that I can actually transform these to others.
Speaker 2:And what a lovely gift that you're trying to do through. That kind of a process is not only kind of dissipating that information, knowledge, but you're also trying to help a lot many people come through the way. I'm sure listeners listening to this would want to know what the secret sauce is, would want to know how can they reach out to Sunil Kulciani and get more insights of making it big in their thinking, in their life and in their endeavors.
Speaker 1:Since we're in the new year, it's 2025. Still, it's basically, by the time this gets released, it's about February, and so I like to do a few steps that I think people because by this time people have already forgotten about their New Year's resolution. They've already forgotten okay. So now I want to bring you back to that. So, number one, you write a goal that scares you, that you think is not possible. Now I want you to write a big goal, but not a ridiculous goal. For example, don't write by tomorrow, I will make a billion dollars. That is a ridiculous goal. It will not happen. Probably 0.0000001% of people bought a lottery and they got it. Maybe Okay, or some inheritance could happen, but chances are that's not going to happen. But, on the other hand, if you make, let's say, but chances are that's not going to happen. But on the other hand, if you make, let's say, 50,000 rupees per month and you want to make 5 lakh rupees, which is 10x, that's a good goal. 10x. You make 1 lakh rupees. 10 lakh rupees, that's a good goal. It's going to scare you a little bit, hopefully, and if it doesn't scare, you make it bigger. So the idea is 10x for some people, double will scare them. No-transcript this much. And that's the goal. No, that's not the goal. That's going to happen anyways. So write a goal. That is crazy.
Speaker 1:Second thing is align your goals and review. Read it every day in the morning and read it at night. Just as soon as you wake up, read it. And as soon as you go to sleep, read it and go to sleep with it. Reviewing, read the goal, read it and all that stuff. This is what I do today, by the way, in my notebook. This is what I do. Then, after you view your goal, say the affirmation that aligns those goals with those goals. And then, once you say your affirmation, information spend two or three minutes doing the movie. The visualization, okay, and in the beginning it's going to be tough to visualize because if you have no money and you think I have a million dollars, I have a million dollars. It's going to be tough, but you do it until it becomes natural and it's the repetition. So that's number one.
Speaker 1:Number two identify the skills or habits that you want to improve and those that you want to delete out of your life. So, for example, you say, okay, I'm not good at selling as an example, because that's a very important skill. So then you say, okay, for the next 66 days every day, for one hour, I will read a book or listen to a course, a digital course or whatever. Get a coach for 66 days every day, spend one hour, invest one hour every day just on that one subject. That's it. That one area is going to. One skill is going to take me to the next level.
Speaker 1:What is that skill? Is it marketing? Is it communication? Is it public speaking? Is it writing a book? Is it marketing? Is it communication? Is it public speaking? Is it writing a book? Is it selling? Is it selling to many? Is it time management? Whatever you identify, say to yourself if I master that scale or even become an expert in that scale, it will change the revenue or the business that I'm willing to go to the next level. What are that scale? What is that scale? And usually marketing, sales, communication, copywriting and different levels of communication, public speaking and and all and anything to do with the ai in these days, or internet, where you can help people grow their companies, attract new clients. Anything like that would be very important.
Speaker 1:For example, you say you know what I want to become a public speaker. Then you say, okay, what course can I take? For 66 days? I'll do it every day. Now it might take you 90 days, that's fine, but minimum one hour for 66 days. University of London from my friend Robin Sharma talks about in his book hour for 66 days. University of London from my friend Robin Sharma talks about it in his book.
Speaker 1:It takes 66 days to form a new habit consistently. So now all you have to do is say what habit do I want to do? Let's just do it for 66 days. Are you going to love it? No, are you going to feel good about it? Chances are no. You say, okay, if I woke up five o'clock, which is what I do, if I wake up at 5 am in the morning every day and I spend first two hours on me reading the book, studying, doing whatever, then I will become very good at it. So for 66 days you just do the alarm and get off the bed and run to the washroom and brush your teeth and say I have to do it for 66 days. And let's say, after on the 12th day you didn't get up at five o'clock, day one again. Tomorrow for 66 days. Yeah, that's it. So that's number two.
Speaker 1:Right, do it for 66 days, one thing that is gonna skill that's gonna take you to the next level, and one skill, perhaps, that you want to eliminate. For example, if you say you're always late, or people say stuff like give me five minutes, I'll be back, but they know there's no way they're coming back in five minutes. Okay, small things. So if you have a world-class habit, such as coming on time, doing what you say, promising what you say, and eating, you say, okay, you know what? I want to lose some weight, well, don't eat fried food all the time. That's it.
Speaker 1:I remember for me was like okay, I have given up chai. I have given up 66 days sugar, I have given up. Now it doesn't mean I don't eat sugar, but for those 66 days, no sugar, none whatsoever. Then I had no fried food. For next 66 days, no fried food, and so the idea is I'm going to not have the cravings for it. So what is the one thing that you give up that's going to take you to the next level? Okay, and now, so we got the skill. What are you going to give up? And then, of course, affirmation and the goals that you have. Then you're going to say to yourself who is it that I know or I don't know? That will take me to the next level, because I become who I hang out with.
Speaker 1:So seek out your mentors. There are free mentors. Maybe you just buy their books. Like you know, we're giving away the book. For example, some people all over the world call me their mentor. I've never seen them before, but because they saw my videos on YouTube or they've connected with me on social media or they read my you know books or courses, I am their indirect mentor. So the highest level of mentorship is one-on-one. And then the next levels are groups and then attending their events, then buying their digital courses or online courses and then book. I mean that's the you know evolution of it. And then book. I mean that's the evolution of it.
Speaker 1:And if you can't afford a lot, if you want to learn and go to the next level and you have zero money and you live in a small village in India, you have no excuse because even you're going to get my book and you can study it, read it and implement even some small strategies. It will change your life. So no excuses whatsoever. Today you can find a lot of stuff on YouTube and podcasts like this one as well to do that. So that is what you have to say to yourself is I got to connect directly or indirectly with the people that I like, that are successful, that I admire, that I respect that. I want to be like them and then follow them on social media, watch their videos, listen to them and if you ever have an opportunity, ever have an opportunity to meet them, do whatever it takes.
Speaker 1:You see, when I was starting out, I wanted to meet Robert Kiyosaki. He was somebody. I read his book. He was coming to an event in New York City. I'm in Toronto. My initial thought was one day, when he comes to Toronto, only then I will go see him. Okay, but then my mentor said what if he doesn't come to Toronto? What if he comes to Toronto in 10 years? You're going to waste it. He said go, and what's my mind thinking? Flight, hotel, the ticket, you know this and that, and. But I went and I met him and throughout the years now we're partners. I've shared stages with him. He's a friend. Why did it happen magically? No, it's relationships.
Speaker 1:So if you live in madhya pradesh, which is where my ancestor, most of my extended family is, and and I am coming to delhi. Don't say, when you come to Madhya Pradesh, in this little town, only then I will come and see you. No, you do whatever it takes to go there because life will pass fast, okay. So when your mentors come, you take away and you see them, even if you touch them, you get their autographed copy book or you take a selfie with them, whatever. You take a little bit of their energy with you for the rest of your life Inspiration, rest of your life, the connections. Rest of your life, the idea that I can do it. Rest of your life.
Speaker 1:So, do whatever it takes. It's not an expense, it's an investment. Okay, and that's basically it, for I don't want to give too many. There's others, but this is basically. If you did that stick to one thing, focus and did all these steps, it will change your life for 2025. You will make more money. You will be more happier, if that's your goal. You will lose more weight, if that's what you want to do. Yeah, you will build more muscles, if that's what you want to do.
Speaker 2:I think, to all this, what you have definitely given to me and all my listeners is that sense of clarity. If you really want to go, achieve, accomplish something, be it 2025 or beyond, there is a framework, there is a formula. No, if people are really serious about it, they can definitely take it forward. Yes, hey listeners, did you know? Inspire Someone Today has a brand new avatar? Yes, did you know? Inspire Someone Today has a brand new avatar? Yes, you got it right Inspire Someone Today. The book is now available on Amazon. I would love for you to pick up the book, read it, share your review, share your feedback, happy listening and happy reading. Keep inspiring. So, sunil, this has been an absolute masterclass of sorts. So people would definitely. If they can take some elements out of this and implement it, I see no reason why it cannot help themselves the purpose. Before we kind of go towards wrap up, sunil, if you were to give three advice to your future self, what would those three advice be?
Speaker 1:I love it. First, I would say get up every day in the morning and do those rituals that grow you, because the bigger you are as a human being I don't mean as any other way even if you have zero dollars, zero rupees or whatever, you need to grow you. So I need to my future self to remind myself is that I'm the most important asset on the planet for me and I. How do I prove it? I prove it by treating it like that. So if you do the affirmations, review your goals, you're positive. You're learning the skills that you need to do, deleting the skills that you should not have, deleting the habits that you should not have. Then eating well, exercising, then that's number one thing that I would say is to focus on you. You're the most important part. The only way you come to the world and help others is if you help yourself. If you're a good swimmer and somebody is drowning, the only way you will jump in the water is if you can swim better than that person. If you can't swim, you're going to let the other person drown and one day, if you do fall in the water, you will also drown. But number one is you invest in yourself. Invest time, invest money and whatever it takes for you to grow. So that's number one.
Speaker 1:Feature Number two get up and say to yourself how can I add massive value? Value equates to growth. Value equates to money. Growth Value equates to Money. Value equates to Revenue. Value equates to Sales, and sales Is Serving. Selling Is Serving. It's not a bad word. Remind yourself Every day. Selling is service.
Speaker 1:So Imagine if you, just from now on, every time you sold Something to somebody, you say I just served the world. That's number two. Number three Just from now on, every time you sold something to somebody, you say I just served the world. That's number two. Number three is that get up and make those relationships count. People that you think you'll never can reach, whether it's Amitabh Bachchan, whether it's Tony Robbins I am an example of people that I made a list of people that I want to work with, partner with, write books with, share stages with, and 90% of those goals have come true. And I had no clue. Why would these people work with me To do things that scare you and have those big goals and then build those relationships? At the end of the day, if you have $10 million, if you have $10 million and no relationships, no friends, no nothing. It's not going to be fun, but having successful people being surrounded by successful people, it will uplift you.
Speaker 2:So very powerful. Last of the power of three questions, sunil, three money insights that you can share with our listeners Money is good.
Speaker 1:Number two more value you add, the more money you will make. We kind of talk about that. Number three when you have lots of money, please give to this world, help out, give back. You know in like, especially when I come to india. We did, you know, over 500 eye operations in uh in bhopal. We have recently worked in dhari in mumbai with the schools, and we have helped women in Dharvi in Mumbai with the schools. And we have helped women in Africa. We have built wells, whatever your concept is, because you know that not everybody is going to do it. They're not going to listen to this podcast, they're not going to read books, so some people need your help.
Speaker 1:So when you have lots of money, it's not just about taking care of yourself, and you should take care of yourself. You should take care of your family, you should take care of your parents, you should take care of your children, you should take care of your extended family, no questions about that. But let's go beyond that. Let's go take care of whatever you can do for the world. At the end of the day, we're all going to go back. It's great for you to wear the watch that you want, the clothes that you want the drive, the car you want. There's nothing wrong with that. I want you to enjoy it. I want you to grow financially because you want to serve, and serving means you as well. So if you're serving this planet, you are part of this planet. There's nothing wrong with you saying I want to serve the whole planet, and that includes you, your children, your family, your wife, your husband, your uncles or whatever. Whoever you want to help, and the strangers that you don't know, that's, the strangers that you don't know.
Speaker 2:That's a very nice way of putting it. That is how you pay it forward.
Speaker 1:Yes, You're going to love it. You're going to have more reason to get up in the morning and become more rich. Because at the end of the day, when I was young, I used to play marbles, and if I win the marbles by playing with somebody else, so we would play marbles and then whoever loses, they lose the marbles as well. And one day I have marbles full of, you know, jars, but I had no one to play with. That's not fun. And sometimes, when somebody didn't have any marbles, I would say I would say here you go. You know, here, take some from me, let's play.
Speaker 2:So this has been one heck of a conversation. Thank you so much for sharing some of those brilliant, brilliant ideas. Wish we could do more of this. Wish we could have multiple, multiple episodes of this. While time is one thing that we cannot control, we are at that stage of the episode where we have to say goodbye Before we sign off. This is a question I ask all my guests. This show is all about creating ripples of inspiration. What's your Inspire Someone Today? Message for all of our listeners before we say goodbye to everybody.
Speaker 1:I would say that inspiration equates to motivation plus skills. Inspiration equals motivation to do and then the skills to have to do what you want to do. So I want you to, for the rest of your life, find people who inspire you. Listen to people, listen to podcasts like these where you're inspired to do, and never allow anyone to say you can't do it, and just like if your family. One day, when you become successful, the same people will come back to you and say we knew you can do it, you're smart. I know I know Same people who said, no, you can't do it. So I wish that helps everybody. I want to see real people become successful. You can reach out to me on the social media. You can look at our website. I think this is going to be added to the notes or something like that Professionalinvestorsclubcom. Reach out and if you need anything to grow to the next level whether it's real estate, whether it's business, whether it's whatever and just do something about it, 2025 can be your best year ever and beyond.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. May 2025 be your best year. On that note, sunilji, thank you so much for taking time and sharing this wonderful, wonderful pulse of wisdom with me and my listeners.
