Relax My Mind
Anti Aging #20 April 2022
Michele LeMay 0:04
Hi, and welcome to another edition of "Relax. My Mind". I'm Michelle me, and I'm here with Venice Sullivan. Venice is the director of the Fair Oaks Cereset. We're glad you tuned in with us today because we have a jam packed show for you. But first, Venice, how are you doing?
Venice Sullivan 0:21
I'm awesome. I'm loving the weather and you're enjoying this beautiful day.
Michele 0:25
Me too. And I'm excited because we're here in the studio, talking about aging, the aging brain. And now this is a topic that is near and dear to me, because my husband about a month or two ago turned 60. And we had to come with the grips that yes, we actually are getting older.
Venice 0:48
You know, it happens to all of us, hopefully.
Michele 0:51
Yes, exactly. Exactly. So I am on a personal level interested in learning about how our brain ages and, and so much. But first, before we get into all that, let's start at the beginning. If you could please explain what is Cereset? And how did it get its name? And how long has it been around?
Venice 1:14
So Cereset has been around for about 20 years, maybe a little longer, was originally started because the founder, Lee Gerdes had had a head injury and PTSD, and really struggled with getting back to where he was before. And so the doctors finally said, "We can't help it's in your brain, and we don't know how to help you." So he developed this program that is technology based. And the wonderful thing about it is all we're doing is putting sensors on your head, picking up your brainwaves converting them to sound and playing them back to you. And just like looking at a mirror, when you look in that mirror and you go, "Oh, I can't go out of the house looking like this". You start fixing yourself. As the brain hears itself, it recognizes what isn't working the best it can and starts changing itself. I love it. Because it's not talk based therapy. It's a way for our brain to heal itself from the inside out. Not from the outside.
Michele 2:14
Well, that brings up a great question, because what is the actual process when somebody comes into you.
Venice 2:21
So we do a through history. First, we want to make sure this program is right for you. And for what you expect out of it. It's not an automatic thing, it doesn't just happen like a magic pill that everybody wants. It takes some work on your part, and we need to make sure that you're willing to put in that work, then we have you come in, you're sitting in a relaxing chair, we have sensors on your head, all they're doing again is picking up your brainwaves. That takes about two hours, it may be a little shorter. But we're putting those sensors on multiple places on your head reflecting those brainwaves back to you. And that starts the process. Again, it's not instant. This is like everything, it takes time for the brain to heal. But as the brain heals, your behavior, your automatic responses, all of those things start to change.
Michele 3:12
Well, if this sounds interesting to you, then what you're going to want to do is pick up your cell phone and dial pound 250. And when you're prompted, all you got to do is say "Relax, My Mind" You're going to get an auto dial text message. And that text message will have information on how to schedule an introduction to Cereset. Normally, it's valued at $149. But because you're listening right now, you're will get it for free. So again, all you have to do is pick up your cell phone, come on, it's probably within arm's reach, and dial pound 250 and say, "Relax, My Mind" to get that auto dial text message with more information on how to schedule an introduction to Cereset. Once again, that's pound 250 to get that auto dialed text message, say "Relax My Mind" to get that auto dialed text message with more information on how to schedule that introduction to Cereset. Normally, that's valued at $149. But you're will get it at no charge. So dial pound 250 and say "Relax, My Mind" I'm Michelle LeMay. And once again, we're talking with Venice Sullivan, who is the director of the Fair Oaks Cereset. So Venice, let's talk about aging, the aging brain.
Venice 4:23
We all have those people in our family who aren't, aren't as sharp as they used to be. They may be more cranky. They have less social interaction. They're kind of, "I don't really want to see anybody". They have more problems executing their normal daily tasks. They may have problems with their balance, you know, just a lot of different things. And what we know now is that as we age, all of the brain thins, it doesn't work the way it used to, but we found that certain areas of the brain thin faster than others. And that's why Okay, I can still do this. But now I'm having problems communicating with my family, or following up on the tasks I need to do. And those are the things that Cereset specifically focuses on. And we call this part of our program exercising the brain. So a lot of the stuff we do is relaxing the brain, this is actually exercising those specific areas, so that they work better.
Michele 5:25
So tell me a little bit more about what is this thinning of the brain?
Venice 5:29
Well, it's not like it actually loses weight, which is what most of us think about and thinning, right? But there's less nerve connections, there's less synapses happening in those specific areas. So it's just like when you quit working out, or you have an injury, and that muscle starts to atrophy, the muscles still there, but it's become weakened and less productive. So as we're working with Cereset, with our aging program, is we're exercising that area, so that we rebuild those synapses and keep them functioning.
Michele 6:07
Ah, okay. Well, I talked about my husband being 60, is there a specific age that you start doing this program with people,
Venice 6:16
60s, a great age to start, for those of us who are approaching 60, even in the 50 age range. You know, aging is different for each of us, because of the history we've had, people with head injuries are going to age faster than those who haven't. People that are taking a lot of medications are going to age faster. So anything that's affected the brain, you want to get in sooner to start this process. But we look usually at ages 50 to 60, for the program. For those who are 40, that maybe you have a highly stressful job, you need to be on point more. Those are good candidates for this program, because we're going to keep you sharp. We have one guy that's actually down in Scottsdale, the home office, he comes in once a week just to tune up his brain because he is aging, he can feel the effects. And he knows how much sharper this keeps him. So it's really a phenomenal process. The other thing we found is and we'll tie into more of this to later, but COVID. A heavy case of COVID can actually age the brain about 10 years.
Michele 7:28
Whoa.
Venice 7:29
So we have program, part of our program is specifically focused on helping the brain recover post COVID.
Michele 7:37
Now, the next question that comes to my brain is is this anti aging program not appropriate for somebody,
Venice 7:46
People who are ADD, or ADHD would be one because their brain is already operating on a very fast level. We don't want to speed that up. People who are highly over activated or stimulated, same thing, people who are taking sedatives for a specific reason, maybe someone who, a lot of stimulants, you know, for everything we do, there's certain parameters. And that's why we do this intake conversation before you really come in to make sure this is the right fit for you.
Michele 8:22
And that's not to say that Cereset can't help people with ADD or ADHD, we're just talking specifically this anti aging program.
Venice 8:31
Correct. Cereset does help people with all sorts of different conditions. But we need to keep in mind that we don't treat conditions, we don't treat diagnosis,. That Cereset is merely addressing the brain where it is. And when we say okay, we have this anti aging program, that's just a specific focus. If you don't fall into that, then we can still work with you with the ADD, ADHD, we're not treating the problem. We're relaxing the brain to let it do its own work.
Michele 9:05
So if that sounds amazing to you, I would encourage you to pick up your cell phone right now and dial pound 250 Because when you're prompted, you're going to say "Relax My Mind" You'll get an auto dialed text message. And that text message will have information on how to schedule an introduction to Cereset. Normally, that's valued at $149 But you're going to get it at no charge. So pick up your cell phone and dial pound 250 and say "Relax My Mind" to get that auto dialed text message with more information on how to schedule that introduction to Cereset. Once again, that's # 250 say "Relax My Mind" to get that auto dialed text message with more information on how to schedule that introduction to Cereset. Normally that's valued at $149 But you're gonna get it at no charge. So dial pound 250 insei "Relax, My Mind". So let's dive a little bit deeper on potential impacts of a thinning brain.
Venice 10:07
So the people that Cereset would work for with the aging process, as people that know that realize they're having memory struggles, maybe difficulties with their movement and coordination. You could be having problems with judgment, you're making poor decisions. And some of this is going to be what the family is saying to you, of gee,, is that really how you want to react, you know, is your temper shorter, is another big one. Sudden mood changes. Again, as I said earlier, some of us lose empathy for others as we age. It's like, hey, that's the way I always did it, it should be always done and you just get on board? Well, that's probably not the best attitude to have. So that's another thing. The problem was communication, it could be talking with others and not being able to find the words. Or it could be not understanding the words that are said to you. And this starts a lot of arguments and families, because what I said and you said and all of those kinds of things. So that difficulty in communication would be a great key for why we would use this program. If you have difficulty, look, learning or retaining new information, when you've always been able to and all of a sudden, you're not, that is a huge key for being doing this anti aging program.
Michele 11:28
Wow, that's incredible. So I think me personally being at the tail end of the baby boomers and a whole lot of more people that are older than I am, I'm sure a lot of those issues and things that you were talking about are ringing true. And it's it's nice to know that number one, you're not going crazy. Number two, you're not alone. And number three, that there's hope.
Venice 11:52
There is hope. And the nice thing again, about Cereset is there's no medication involved. So what many people are finding is, yes, the medication may help one thing, but it causes other problems. And many of those medications actually cause brain problems. So by being able to exercise the brain, tune it up and get it firing on more cylinders, if not all cylinders without meds is a great benefit.
Michele 12:24
Absolutely. And like you said, at the very top of the show, they're not having to rehash anything in their past,
Venice 12:31
Right! That's the biggest thing I find is, you know, having lived life and with various dramas and traumas so many of us, okay, I need help. Where do I go? Well, I go to the therapist, and therapists absolutely have their place. We all need them from time to time. But sometimes it's like, okay, I don't want to talk about this anymore. I don't want to relive it. And this is a way for the brain to heal without going back through that trauma.
Michele 12:58
So besides doing this anti aging protocol, are there some other things that clients can maybe do on their own?
Venice 13:05
Absolutely. So we want to make sure that they are staying social. Now, my husband's a little bit older than your husband. And I find that, well, I don't want to go, you know, I don't want to go talk to people, I don't want to have to deal with people. Yeah. So you know, it's important for us to maintain those social connections, because that feeds our brain. We need to exercise. And that doesn't mean you need to go to the gym five days a week and work out for three hours. That means maybe walking around the block a couple times a day, as you increase your circulation to your body, to your muscles, you're also increasing the circulation and oxygenation of your brain. And that's really important for brain health. Diet is huge, you know, and a healthy diet means something different to everybody. But when you're lacking certain nutrients, then your body cannot produce the proper chemicals to keep your brain functioning at its best. So that's just as important.
Michele 14:08
Can you give us an idea of like, just kind of a couple of nutrients that maybe we can all start implementing today?
Venice 14:15
How about your green 1?
Michele 14:16
Oh, yeah.
Venice 14:17
And some of us can eat those or can't eat a lot of them. But in order for the brain to produce dopamine, you have to have the right amount of iron. Iron is there in our meats and in our green vegetables. Okay, so that's a key thing for being able to keep the body healthy and your brain healthy.
Michele 14:40
Okay, so I'm gonna I'm going to have some green vegetables later today and have some good, healthy, maybe grass fed type of meat. What else am I going to have on my plate?
Venice 14:49
Well, with that you always need water. Your brain is primarily water, fat and protein. You take any of those away and your brain is going to suffer. So a lot of us go on these healthy healthy diets and cut all fat out of our diet, right? And all of a sudden, we can't think, we can't function. Because our brain, the body is now taking fat from the brain. So not a good thing, not a good thing. So keep the healthy fats, the nuts, the salmon, the good oils coming into your body.
Michele 15:25
Okay. All right. Anything else that we can do at home?
Venice 15:30
Check your medications. Talk with your doctor and ask them if, how is this medication going to impact my brain function?
Michele 15:35
Oh Yeah,
Venice 15:35
Is there something that I can do different that doesn't impact that? Okay, get enough sleep, your brain needs that proper amount of sleep six to eight hours, the older we get. And, you know, that's part of what we do at the Cereset office is go over these kind of tips with you to make sure that we're not just you're tuning up your brain, but helping you be as healthy overall as possible.
Michele 16:03
That's great. That's great. So it's not just about here, sitting the chair, see you later, you really go into a lot of supportive details with people. If this is ringing true, I'm sure there's something on that list that Venice just shared with us. That is something that you might be going through or suffering from, well, then there's a simple solution. Why not pick up your phone and dial pound 250, Right now, we won't be insulted if you just do that. And you're gonna get prompted with an opportunity to say "Relax, My Mind" That's the name of our show, that will get you an auto dialed text message. And that text message is going to have information on how you can schedule that introduction to Cereset. Remember, it's valued at $149, but you're gonna get it for free. So dial pound 250 Say, "Relax My Mind" why not check out to see if Cereset can help you. Once again, that's pound 250 to get that auto dialed text message, say "Relax My Mind" to schedule an introduction to Cereset. Remember, it's normally valued at $149. But you're gonna get it for free. So dial pound 250 say "Relax My Mind" to get the ball rolling to feeling better. Absolutely. I'm Michelle LeMay. And once again, we're talking with Venice Sullivan, who is the director of the Fair Oaks Cereset. So Venice, what are some other things that we should be looking for to see if Cereset is a good match?
Venice 17:36
One of the things that I find in working with my clients is, the older we get, the more important our freedoms are. And one of those freedoms is being able to drive. So a certain area of brain is very important for our spatial perception of how close we are to cars, how well we can park, all those kinds of things that are key to our driving. So that's one of the main areas that we work with with this program. is that area of the brain that takes in consideration our spatial perception, which is going to help us with our driving.
Michele 18:15
And you said earlier you were talking about some of the process of having the sensor so nothing is going to be like injected into my head.
Venice 18:23
No, absolutely not. So remembering that the only thing we're doing is putting sensors on your head. We're not injecting anything, we're not sending signals into your brain in any way other than your own brainwaves being converted to sound and played back to you. And so like I said, you you come in, you're in the chair, the room is quiet, the room is dark, your only job in that room is to relax. Many, many of our clients are sleeping through the session. We put sensors on the head, we put earbuds in your ears, we if you want put a nice fluffy blanket on you. So you're warm, dark, secure, go to sleep, that's your job.
Michele 19:11
Oh, I like that job. I can I think I can do that.
Venice 19:11
And then as we put the sensors on the head and start the program, it's picking up your brainwaves. And you're hearing musical tones. It's not music, but it could be piano tones. It could be strings, it could be voices, depending on what you select to hear. And as you're hearing that, again, your brain is recognizing what's not quite working, right. You know, our brains number one job in life is to keep us alive. Number two is to keep us safe. So maybe when we were three something big happened and our brain went into this mode of I'm going to make you do this to keep you safe to make sure this never happens again. Well, that was great when we were three but we're no longer in that situation. And so now our brain is still acting as if we were three, whenever we are triggered in that type of situation. It's automatic, it's not something we think about, it's not something we plan, we have no quote, control over it. And so what the brain is doing now, as it's hearing itself in these types of situations, it's going, Oh, I don't need to do that anymore. So it starts healing and changing itself. And that is the true magic that I think of Cereset is, it's letting the brain do its own thing, because it is the ultimate authority and the ultimate computer of us.
Michele 20:41
I love that. And if that sounds something that is interesting to you, why not find out if Cereset can help you along your aging journey, because like you said, we're all going to go along this journey. So all you need to do is pick up your cell phone, dial, pound 250. And when you're prompted, just say, "Relax, My Mind", you're going to get an auto dial text message. And that message will have information on how to schedule an introduction to Cereset. It's normally valued at $149. But you're listening right now. So you get it for free. So let's talk real quickly here about the last couple of years, you had said something fascinating about somebody who has had COVID, maybe a little bit more on the severe side, it can age your brain 10 years,
Venice 21:34
Yes, we're finding significant change in the brain with result of many COVID cases. 10 years or a drop on the average of about 8.5 points on your IQ scale. Now, some of us, you know, question our IQ anyway. So that 8.5 points can be really important to us. So whether it's, you know, the brain fog, when I had it, I swore I didn't have brain fog, I just had no brain at all. I couldn't think, I couldn't function. You know, I was an I didn't consider I had a bad case of it. But that was one of the things I found, for me, it's hugely impacted many people in being able to do their job in going to college in you know, just a lot of different ways. Other things that COVID is affected is the loss of taste and smell. There, again, certain areas of the brain is responsible for that, and the COVID has affected many areas of the brain. So we're not again, making the brain do anything, but we're reflecting those areas, particularly back to the brain, letting it do its own healing. Fatigue. So many of our clients who have just talked about the huge fatigue that they've had, and you know, it's like, I can't walk around the block, you know, I was talking to somebody, they were a tennis player. And you know, they can't walk to the tennis court, let alone play a game of tennis.
Michele 23:01
Oh, my goodness.
Venice 23:02
So even some of our professional athletes are finding, they just can't perform the way they were before. So being able to do something as easy as relaxing, sitting in a chair and hearing your own brainwaves and letting it heal has made a huge impact on the healing from post COVID.
Michele 23:21
Wow, that is amazing. So just real quick, what are some of the benefits that you've seen some from these patients coming in?
Venice 23:32
Getting their memory back, you know, getting their brain function back, being able to, you know, their energy, I wouldn't say springs back instantly, but comes back much more quickly. Communication, not having to go to bed at eight o'clock at night. You know, all of those things are just huge on not only our personal life, but our business life, you know, being able to function with our kids without losing our temper, all those kinds of things.
Michele 23:58
Oh my goodness, absolutely. So if you have been experiencing this and thinking that there's no option, there's no way in that you and everybody around you are going to have to live with it. You don't have to think that way anymore. All you need to do is pick up your cell phone dial pound 250. And when you're prompted, say "Relax, My Mind" and that's going to get you that auto dial message that's going to get information for you to schedule an introduction to Cereset. Remember, it's normally valued at $149. But you're going to get it for free. So dial # 250 se "Relax My Mind" to get that auto dial text message and get the ball rolling to feeling better. I'm Michelle LeMay. And once again, we're talking with Venice Sullivan, who is the director of the Fair Oaks Cereset. So Venice, thank you so much for sharing all this information for us. And just a reminder for our listeners. Venice Sullivan is the director of the Fair Oaks Cereset and people that not just in Fair Oaks can come to you, people from all over can come to you.
Venice 25:06
We have clients from Oregon, Nevada, Washington, because there's not offices there. We cover much of kind of all over wherever you're hearing us from. So would love to see you if any of these things tickle your fancy then pick up your phone, give us a call, no obligation. We're just here to answer questions for you and help you have a better life.
Michele 25:30
Well, thanks again, Venice for being here today. Once again, that's # 250 to get that auto dial text message, say "Relax My Mind" Thanks again for listening. We hope you'll join us again next week on "Relax My Mind"
