Tune in!

SPEAKER_01

And what's going on, everyone? Welcome back. Another episode of the Friendly Foes here with your friendly foes with a very special episode today because the footy doesn't stop and the friendly foes don't stop bringing you all the action. Live action. We were actually in Orlando for the Columbia game against Croatia. Not the best result, but it was a great turnout by our people. So much has happened this entire week. This international break, last international break before we head on to the World Cup in 2026. Like I said, a lot of action happened. Colombia, not very good displays. U.S. men's national team, not very good displays. France is looking pretty threatening. Spain's looking pretty solid as well. Brazil and Vinicius get a pretty solid win against Croatia. Rafinha gets injured. And the biggest story is that Italy are out of the World Cup once again, the third time in a row. But today we're going to start off a very special way. We're going to start kicking it off with the Columbia games that we went over to in Orlando. And we're going to do a little bit of a switch around here. We're going to start talking a little bit about Hispanish, okay? So to all my English speak English, to all my English speak English guys, we're going to be talking a little bit Spanish, okay? So we're going to put out the clips on TikTok and our social media. We'll be doing the translating, the translation station for you. But empezando desde ahora, bienvenidos a todos los Latinos, a todos los Hispano Hablanos, al special edition in Spanish.

SPEAKER_00

No, hombre, estamos mal. Estamos mal. No lo puedo creer. Malísimo. Malísimo.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_01

Se vio un poco durante when we were qualificating for the Mundial, the ultimate particular. But those participants were tense.

SPEAKER_03

Terrible, terrible, the right. But I think that those in the Conmeboles because we terminated terribles.

SPEAKER_01

Those stuff in the mismaster.

SPEAKER_03

No, pero qué decepción, la verdad. No tenemos delantero.

SPEAKER_00

No, no.

SPEAKER_03

No, paila. Sí, paila. Se cagó.

SPEAKER_01

Completamente. And es que Lucho se la dio perfecta, se la dio servida in un plato. Perfecto. Eso fue. O sea, Lucho la pudo haber disparado facilmente. Exactamente. Lucho. Pero decidió pasar. Decidió ser buena agente. Vea a Luchito Suárez, téngala, papá.

SPEAKER_01

No, increíble.

No, bórrenlo. Sí, borrenlo de una vez, por favor. Ese man sí se lo advierte.

SPEAKER_00

Bórrenle el celular.

SPEAKER_03

It's hora que necesitamos que te pongas las pilas, and you guys at the selection, pongas this number nine and a moment in the Senate in Russia. I don't know if I have an idea why they are. Next time we go with the confiance in the alternative. These errors obviously pass, but we can old and go to the proximity and focus on the temporary that we got with the club in sporting, and then for the Mundial, completely because they are doing the sporting during all the temporary is what we need for the selection. Exactly.

SPEAKER_03

But he has jugglers already who published hasta mucho mejor que en el esporte. Hay que ponerse las pilas.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_03

Pero James no tiene ritmo, la verdad. Yo sé que Néstor lo pone because it's James y también quiere que él coja ritmo. Because apenas has jugado dos partidos with Minnesota, dos orties. Ahorita mismo? Quintero estuvo jugando muy bien, y justificar que está in el banquillo is a little bit difficult, especially with what success conjuncts, that no tiene nada de rythm. But we're going to today quedan doses more, we're going to verse cómo llega con su club, but if James está al 100%, sí, obviamente James es James. Eso sí, no hay nada que hacer. But if we're in the mismaster, Quintero está ahí, Quintero.

SPEAKER_01

Sí, the lamentable that's something that we're going to use a favor is that we have two jugators tan creatives, those die Hames and Quintero that exists, and that have a surda magic. Not one of those. But the bad is that we have two that have a form of similar, very. But Néstor Néstor is that the cambios that he has entire. For example, Francia, John Arias, sending John Arias the most, and no cambios into the particular Croatia and Francia. Here were two cambios. Entry Álvaro Montero, who quería verlo forgentina. Ese secondo salió pésimo, pésimo, pésimo. Pésimo, terrible. And Juan David Cabal, who had a good temporary con la Juventus, entered the central for John Lukumi, and the tercer goal, creo que was empezed by a role of the transition. And terminated in golf situation. Oh, two-one contracies, contract contractroacia, si. Entonces, a mí me hubiera gustado verse cambios. Tratar de poner a Quintero de titular. Tratar de ver.

SPEAKER_03

Entonces yo creo que contra Francia could support more, and no left. But it would have been rotated a bit more to know what much there was in the armario.

SPEAKER_01

And the participant of Croatia demonstrated that there had to have much cambios.

SPEAKER_03

But it's nuestro lateral direction.

SPEAKER_01

I think it's a juggler who is a veteran who picked the camiseta of the selection, apported very well, and defensively is a juggler that ayuda much in the defense. Danny Muñoz quedava very cold arriva and le cuesta volver, defender. And we have an equipping contract that in the transitions were demo rapid, and in the contract it was very rapid, Muñoz. This is the difference between the two. Muñoz is much more attacking. Santi Arias for me is more defensive. Hay to ver cómo funciona la situation mejor.

SPEAKER_03

Hombre, cuando él está allá arriba, igual que Mojica, they can't cubrient for else. And this is a contractolpe for that.

SPEAKER_01

It's the problem, if we have two laterals that suck much and that devolving, the mediocampists who have two in Richard Rios and Jefferson can come to cover in the defense. But the problem is that James devolves much. Tratar to see when suben the laterals and when no devolution James, what are the mediocampistas? And I mean, one jugador that you don't entido por qué no lo han vuelto a convocar is Wilmar Barrios.

SPEAKER_03

Pero él ya también está. ¿Cuántos años tiene?

SPEAKER_01

No, apenas tiene como 30, 32. Tampoco es que esté tan viejo. Tiene 32 años, sí, sigue en el Senit. Tiene la misma edad that Lerma. Néstor, la verdad no lo ha amado. Y no entendemos por qué. Because I mean much Wilmar Barrios, the manner that he recuperated the balloon, the man, this garra that had in the center of the camp. For me, okay, not that I have Lerma because Lerma has, but for me, Wilmar a little bit more. And Wilmar in this middle camp is alguien who recupera that empieza to distribute one.

SPEAKER_03

For Néstor Bartan is Richard and Lerma, those are those two mediocampistas.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_01

Sí, Puerta no tuvo buenas actuaciones.

SPEAKER_03

Muestro mucha cosa buena.

Sí, a mí todavía me parece que Daniel Muñoz is the mejor lateral derecha that we have. Sí. But tiene muchas errores, cometing muchas errors in those two participants that we have to correct. And what you decía era que me hubiera gustado a Santi Arias contra Francia instead of Dani Muñoz, because Dani Muñoz has had various lesions in the Crystal Palace, vino to go under Croacia. Ponga titular a Santi Arias for what's what we have to do.

SPEAKER_03

That's one of the things.

SPEAKER_01

Hay que crear esa competencia.

SPEAKER_03

Si queremos competir in the Mundial, I think we can get in those two particulars contract and Croatia fere tests for cómo está la selection contra a selection like Croatia, who has been a final and third in the ultimate two mundials, and Francia, who was campaign and second in the ultimate two mondials, to know how llegamos Colombia.

SPEAKER_03

Pam pam, but I alegra that we have perfect, because they have the cabeza muy inflada, yo creo.

SPEAKER_01

Sí, Hamilton Campás is a golazo, Hamilton Campaz tuvo una buena actuation in the lower. Me gustó. Entonces it's good that we have this in the bank. But see, no, it's important because yeah, the Copa America was after two years. In three years, much have the new ones that were two years ago function and not. So I have to see what's going to camp for that juggers puedan that necessary cambiar this chip.

SPEAKER_03

No equipping to competition, for largely.

SPEAKER_01

O sea, the era of the 90 years, con el Pibo Valderrama, Freddy Rincón, con Deltino Asprilla, and those was an era that the selection had to have, and we got a moment we have one with those years, and we have to go. The most left that was the quarters of the final of a Mundial. Sino que in the world no nos respetan tanto because we have more actuations. Yes, we have build jugadores, but what are the building?

SPEAKER_03

Especially Luis Díaz is one of the world, I can't believe it.

For example, el partido contra Argentina at the final de la Copa America was an ejemplo muy grande. Because no one of the two estaba jugando bien, ni Argentina ni Colombia. The two established. But al final, those who querían ganar, eran los argentinos. Ellos querían el partido and not getting penales. And this is the difference. It's incredible because we're certain and no. For me, this was an example of the selection in the mentality and get adelanted and creep in me that this particular we can go to a jug. And we happy.

SPEAKER_01

Sí, la portería is. Historicamente Colombia has been buenos arquero. Siempre. Conocer Córdoba, Freddy Mondragón, Renegita, Miguel Calero, David Ospina. David Ospina. And this moment, Camilo Vargas is in Mexico, and no es que sea mal arquero, no es que sea un arquero malo, but it's un David Ospina for me. For example, the title that we had in the 2014, and the 11 titular that we're going to have in the 2026. Entonces, acá we're gonna go ahead. Comparemos Colombia 2014 con Colombia 2026. Tú a quién discoverías?

No, Davidson. Sí, Davison. Yo también me quedo con Davidson. ¿John Lukumi o Jeepes? Sí, Jeepes.

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_02

Pegándole a la esposa o algo así.

SPEAKER_01

Sí, quién sabe, Tenaz. ¿Carlos La Roca Sánchez o Jefferson León?

SPEAKER_03

Uff, no, La Roca, papá.

SPEAKER_02

Sí, a mí me gustaba mucho. A mí me gustaba verlo. Le extraña a Narto. ¿Abel Aguilar o Richard Ríos?

SPEAKER_03

No, Richard.

SPEAKER_03

Y también podía jugar lateral derecho también.

SPEAKER_01

Sí, el man jugaba. Lateral derecho, sí, de todo. James del 2014 o James del 2026.

SPEAKER_03

No, del 2014. Sí, era Prime James.

SPEAKER_01

Ibarbo, Víctor Ibarbo o Luis Díaz. Víctor, qué pena hermano.

SPEAKER_03

Por favor, sí. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sorry, pero excuse me. Luchito.

SPEAKER_03

No me digas Teofilo Gutiérrez.

SPEAKER_01

No, Radamel Falcao, papá. Radamel, sí. Aunque pues si él no jugó el mundial, jugó Teófilo.

SPEAKER_02

Si hubiera estado falcao en ese mundial.

SPEAKER_03

Hubiera cambiado.

SPEAKER_01

Todo hubiera cambiado.

SPEAKER_03

Aunque no sé si hubiéramos visto esa versión de James. Si hubiera estado Falcao ahí. Pero. No sé.

SPEAKER_01

A Lucho. A Lucho, a Davidson y a Renroy. Solamente tres jugadores entrarían in this equipe del 2014. See, like these ultimate two participants, we don't see that, but there's time to camp the things, and ojalá the profe Néstor knows what we need to do, that are details pendejos. Aunque the people that we're a selection chica entre comillas, we can competitive. Colombia puede llegar lejos.

SPEAKER_03

Competimos contra Argentina y Brasil. I think we can competitive grandes de Europa fácilmente.

SPEAKER_01

Exacto, exacto. Vamos a toch. Vamos a tochange very quickly. Back to English Peak English. No, no picky a panish anymore. No pick your punish. Gracias, Parceros. Oh, man, man, man. Okay. But so many more things to talk about. I think we we can do these pretty quick, but the US men's national team as well had two big friendlies against Belgium and against Portugal. Uh ironically, both U.S. and Mexico played the same teams. That was weird. I don't know why. I don't know why. I don't know why they decided that. But um just wanted to see who could beat who. Yeah, they just wanted to see. Talk shit to each other, you know, because they're rivals. Somebody in the federations they put on a friendly wager. They're like, hey, let's schedule the same people and let's let's see who wins. Uh well, the U.S. led to pretty bad.

SPEAKER_03

Yep, Mexico ended up winning.

SPEAKER_01

They didn't win their games, but at least they tied. You know, they didn't lose either. They tied, man. They didn't lose. Um and the U.S. got completely demolished against Belgium specifically. Uh 5-2 against Belgium, 2-0 against Portugal. So sad.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't I didn't think Belgium hadn't had that in them still, to be honest with you. I thought their golden generation was long gone. I don't know if they're that good or USA is that bad. You know, especially because I feel like we have some solid players. USA definitely has some solid players. Yeah. I don't know what I think. I don't know if it's Pochettino or I I don't know. I think I have no idea what's going on with them.

SPEAKER_01

Here's the here's what I think. I think Pochettino still doesn't know who his starting 11 is, and it's very frustrating to watch as a fan. And I think it's frustrating to him, and I think it's frustrating to the players because he doesn't know who to start. I think he has a good idea of about you know four to five players that he's he's gonna start no matter what. But it it seems to me like he still confused as to who to start in goalkeeper, for example. Against Belgium, Matt Turner started. Against uh Portugal, Matt Friese started, where previously for the for the past, like for pretty much the entire Pochettino era, Matt Freeze has been the starter, and then out of nowhere Matt Turner or Matt Turner gets the gets the start against Belgium. Um I think that's the biggest thing. I think Poch just has to has to figure out who his starters are gonna be because until he gets that straight, it's gonna be very confusing for all the players to get a good dynamic uh within the squad and within the starting 11, right? Yeah, I think too, there was a there's a couple other things that I specifically noticed against Belgium that we we played pretty well the first half, second half was trash. But what I noticed is that we don't the US doesn't really have a player who can take defenders on one-on-one situations, like uh Jeremy Doku, for example, or like a Vinicius, or like a Luis Diaz, a Laminamall type of player. We don't have that. The US does not have that.

SPEAKER_03

Politic can kind of do it, but I think he just he's not in good form right now. He hasn't, it's not the same, but I mean, if there was one player that can do that, it's him. But honestly, I just think his recent form has been pretty bad because he hasn't even scored a goal for Milan since December, I believe. He just hasn't been doing well, so he's just gotta get out of his own head right now because he can do it. I've seen him do it. Maybe he doesn't have that same salita all those players do, but bro, he's gonna be a big thing.

SPEAKER_01

He doesn't have the same swagger. He is a baller. I'm not saying he's not. I'm not saying he's not. I think he I think the frustrating thing about Pulisic is that everybody knows the talent that he has, but sometimes he doesn't fully showcase it. I think that's the problem. And he is to many, like he he he's the best player on team, right? Kristen Pulisic is the best player on the US Miss National team. And as the best player, there's gonna be a lot more expectation out of you, and you're gonna be held to a higher standard every single time. And whenever I don't see you playing to that standard, it's gonna come with some criticism as to why is the best player not playing to the level that he has to be. And it's not like, oh, it was one game or it was two games. No, it's like pretty constant throughout his career with. The US man's national team where he's been pretty inconsistent. There are games where he plays out of his mind, and there's other games where I'm like, what's going on here with this guy?

SPEAKER_03

To be honest, I feel like he's so reserved and timid sometimes, and that plays against him. I feel like he needs to be a little bit more cocky. He's even said so himself. I think he's just he's he's very reserved. If you I don't know if you've seen his documentary on CBS. I actually did not. No. Did you watch it? I've watched some episodes, yeah, and he just seems like very reserved. And to me, how you are outside of the pitch, you play on the pitch as well. And sometimes I feel like he just hides a little bit. Just he's he's a little shy. He just needs a little bit, like we said, a little bit more swagger to him. Just put that Captain America cape on and just say, Hey, I'm him. You know what I'm saying? Like, who cares? Just be a little cocky. Like, look at Lamin Yamal, look how fucking cocky that guy is, bro. Because he knows he's that good. Polisic, dude, I've seen Polisic play very well. He's just he's extremely inconsistent. He just has to tell himself, I'm him, I'm that dude. I gotta put the team on my back. And I I think he'll play so much better. And right now, he's what, 27 years old? This should be his prime. And he's playing World Cup home turf. He's gotta go all in, man. Just say, hey, I'm the one who has to carry this team. Let's go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. That's that is that is the best way to put it, right? He he does need a little bit more swagger. He does need a little bit more of um of uh intimidation factor to to the other teams, to the other to the opposing teams. I think a lot of teams see him play and they just see him as like an average good player, whereas they need to see him as like uh a legitimate threat that they're going up against. Okay, we're playing against the US and Polisic today. All right. Let's let's figure out how we're gonna um how we're gonna defend him, how we're gonna how we're gonna attack them, right? But it it seems to me like teams aren't really scared of him. And he's gotta he's gotta go out there like exactly like you said. He's gotta have more swagger, he's gotta, he's gotta be able to be a little bit more cocky. He's got just like like don't be afraid to get in people's faces, man. Talk a little bit of shit on the field, like do your thing. Like be don't be afraid of to take people on. And the teammate, his teammates will feed off of that.

SPEAKER_03

So he needs to be the leader and just take people on. Just yeah, get into people's faces, just say, hey, I'm Captain America. This is my team. You know?

SPEAKER_01

Just you know who I think has that type of mentality? Gio Reina. I think Gio Reyna has that type of mentality. I think so. Yeah, I think he does. I think he's he's got he's got that little bit of swagger, that little bit of cockiness to him, which I like, and I think we need that. Um in in the in the in the in the US men's national team. The problem with Gio is that he's been hurt the past like years. He's been dealing with a lot of injuries, and and he hasn't been consistently playing with that's the big problem. But I think Gio is pro like skill-wise and talent-wise, you you could argue that pure skill, he he's better than Polisic. He is very, very, very but I haven't seen that cockiness from him. I think he's got I I've seen it some like I've seen it a couple of times, man. Like I've seen sometimes whenever Burr Halter would take him out and he would get pissed, and like that's the type of stuff that you need. Or if he wouldn't play, he would get pissed. Yeah, that's the type of stuff do you need. And he's a baller for sure. Like, I see the skills, but and he's the player that I would say that I would say has the ability to take those players on one-on-one and and make some good uh uh be able to dribble past them and very skillful, but I just didn't see that against Belgium from anybody. And the other thing is we have we don't we don't really have a player who's creative, right? If you look at other teams like Spain has Pederi, uh France has uh Turkey, uh uh Belgium had De Bruyne, Portugal had Bruno Fernandez, the US.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, we don't really have a player like that.

SPEAKER_01

Doesn't really have anybody who is who's creative in the midfield who you can give the ball and be like, hey, solve our problems, figure it out, make make something out of nothing. That's that's uh that's a pretty huge deficit that I see with the U.S. That is true national team that we don't have.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, Tyler Adams is probably the closest one, but he's not really a number 10 like that. Yeah, he plays a little bit deeper. Yeah, he plays deeper, and he's I guess he would probably be the most creative player on the team.

SPEAKER_01

Well, uh I was gonna say, like, the most creative player for like during the Belgium game was Anthony Robinson, and he's a left back. He's the one that was creating he's good.

SPEAKER_03

I love Anthony Robinson, actually. Anthony's obviously good, probably my favorite player in the national team. Really? Anthony Robinson is? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like him a lot. He's always one of the best players for the national team. Always like the last World Cup, he was the one that was always hustling, man. Always taking people on defensively, too. He's really good. I love that guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, except against Portugal, I wish he would have done a little bit better defensively. I think that that goal who scored that that first one. Um Trincao, I think it was.

SPEAKER_03

Trincal, yes. Which was a great backheel from Bruno.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but if you look at if you if you look at defensively, man, like he back heeled it, and then Trincal was all by himself, and he had like three business days to take the ball from his right foot to his left foot, get comfortable, and then slot it past the keeper. Yeah. It's like, dog, like get somebody get on him. Somebody get on him. Like you we know he's left footed. Don't make, don't get him, don't let him turn to his left, keep him out wide, force him to his right. Like, get on him. The same thing with the Joao Felix goal. Joao Felix took a terrible touch. Terrible touch, and he had a whole week to get ready to get the ball right, and then but that wasn't Robinson's fault.

SPEAKER_03

That was just, I mean, that was a poorly defended corner kick.

SPEAKER_01

The first one, the Trinka one, I think Robinson could have done better tracking back. I he was like jogging back and like barely stuck his leg out to think like that won't happen in the World Cup. Yeah, I better not. But yeah, no, I do like I do like Anthony Robinson uh a lot. I like McKinney. I think I think McKinney's my favorite player for the for the US Mes national team.

SPEAKER_03

He's probably the player that's most inform at the moment for sure. Yeah, he's been killing it over at Juventus, but we gotta see that with the US Mes national team.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and you know who else I liked? Um had some good showings against Portugal. There was there's three players that I liked. Alex Freeman, Orlando City Boy, playing over at uh Villa Real. Really liked him as a as a right back. So Jinho Dest has been hurt, and I think he could be a really, really good option as a starter, as a right back.

SPEAKER_03

That's like some good competition.

SPEAKER_01

It is because Tim Way was playing as a right back. That's so weird, dude. Well, he's been playing as a I was looking it up. He's been playing as a right back all season for Marcel.

SPEAKER_03

That's so freaking weird. Yeah, I like him better as a winger. I like him better as a winger. I mean, it's good to be versatile, I guess, but yeah, just in case you needed one. With Freeman and Serginho Dest, I think we're good there. That's good competition.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so Alex Freeman had a great showing against Portugal. And uh Sebastian Burrhalter, I really like. I actually really like this kid. I love the way this kid plays, man. I think every time he he he's out there, he he's got that mentality of like, I got something to prove. I got pe I got something to prove to show people that I belong here, that I belong on this team. There's probably a lot of you know, uh, bias against him because his last name is Berhalter and everything that happened to Greg and his dad and before and everything. So he's gotta he's gotta show that he belongs in this team, and he's gonna make it. Greg is not there anymore. Right. So he's gotta make the last name look good. And uh he had a great season last season with Vancouver. He's having another great start to the season with Vancouver again, and Potch seems to really like him. I think this is a guy that gets into the World Cup squad for sure.

SPEAKER_03

I think so too.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think he'll start over Tyler Adams, though. No, he won't start, but I I liked his showings. I think every time he comes on the field, I think he puts on a really, really good performance. And um Patrick Ogerman, we were talking about him uh last week a little bit. The guy from Derby County, man. He came on. He scored a goal. Yes, I like him. I like him. I think he he can be he can be a force to be full. Good option. Yeah, he's a good option. I don't know. I don't know if he's a starter, right? But I think he's a good option to come off the bench because you want those players. You want the you want to play? We've got some good strikers, man. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Pepe too. Pepe had an assist. Yeah, Balagun. He's always a good option. So I think we got some good options to attack.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

If Pulisic and McKenny wake up, USA could be a problem. USA could really be a problem, but those players gotta wake up, man.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they do gotta wake up. And now, like the the World Cup is officially set, right? And in their group, I forget what letters are. Paraguay. But it's yeah, Paraguay, Australia, and Turkey. Paraguay, and that's low-key, tough group. Low-key, that's a tough group. Low-key, that's a tough group.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but uh they should make it out though.

SPEAKER_01

They should they should have no problem making it out. The pro the the question is, what place do they make it out of, right? Do they make it out first, do they make it out second, or do they get one of the best third place teams? I think having Turkey in there makes things a lot more interesting because Turkey, now that they've officially qualified, they're they're a pretty pretty solid team, right?

SPEAKER_03

My boy Arda Gouler, bro. He don't fuck around.

SPEAKER_01

He's gonna kill everyone. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see, we'll see what he does against the U.S., right? And Paraguay, Paraguay's been doing well too under Gustavo Alfaro. They've been putting on a really good performance. They're back in the World Cup. They're first World Cup since 2010. 2010. Yeah, first World Cup since they had a good showing too, that 2010. I think Spain were the ones that were. Uh begging for the game to end. I think that Spain only won off a penalty. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, they had some really good strikers. Uh Salvar Cabañas y Roque Santa Cruz. Oof.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Roque Santa Cruz. What a guy. Some good what a beauty that guy was. Talk about proper Barkley's man right there. I like that guy. That's Blackburn Rovers legend. Oh, legend. Shout out to Blackburn Rovers, man. Uh, shout out to Roque Santa Cruz. But yeah, no, it's gonna be it's a tough group. I think the U.S. has a really, really good shot uh of being being in first place, like realistically. Yeah, I think I think that they've they've played Australia in a friendly a couple of months ago, beat them. They didn't play Paraguay, but they played Uruguay. They beat the flip off of Uruguay. It was five to one, I think. It was like the the biggest marginal goals that Urugua has lost by in God knows how long. So um, but yeah, the World Cup, World Cups are officially set. Colombia's got Congo, so we got Congo, Uzbekistan, uh, and Portugal. So, I mean, no we should definitely get top three. Yeah, yeah, don't uh don't top two top two. I I'm still I'm doubling down that Colombia's finishing first in that group. I'm doubling down. You think so?

SPEAKER_03

I'm doubling down because I mean I didn't we'll see how that last game against Portugal is.

SPEAKER_01

But Portugal, I think Portugal on paper are so solid. Like, um if you look at Portugal's team, they are so solid. They probably have the best midfield along with Spain. Uh better than any other team. Their midfield's better than any other teams along with Spain. Bruno, Vitinha, Drao Neves. I mean, phenomenal. Disgusting. But if but if you I don't think they were like that great against the U.S. I think it was more of the U.S. playing really, really bad. And I don't think they were that great against Mexico. No. I wasn't.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I remember they also don't have El Bicho. They didn't have a striker.

SPEAKER_01

Is he gonna start? He's not gonna start. Is he gonna start?

SPEAKER_03

You think Gonzalo Ramos is gonna start over him?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_03

No, no way, dude. No, Ronaldo's gonna be starting. Last World Cup. I don't know what the hell Fernando Santos was thinking, but they played better without him.

SPEAKER_01

They played better without him.

SPEAKER_03

That's why they got eliminated.

SPEAKER_01

But I didn't think I didn't think Portugal played that well. Like, yes, they didn't have uh Cristiano, but I I still too, bro.

SPEAKER_03

Rafael Leao isn't wasn't in the in the squad. I think was he hurt, or he just hasn't been playing good for Milan either.

SPEAKER_01

It's both. He's hurt, and he also hasn't been playing well for Milan. So it's that's crazy. He he's crazy. He's he hasn't been that and they got Bernardo Silva, bro. God damn, and they got yeah, I forgot about him. Damn, yeah. On paper, they're they're such a solid team. I mean, Joel Cancelo, uh Nuno Mendes, uh Ruben Diaz. Uh yeah, Nuno Mendes is the best left back right now. Yeah. So no, they they they they have a solid, solid team. So, but I'm still doubling down. Colombia beats beats them. I think Colombia can do it 100%. Oh, we can definitely do it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we can 100%, especially at Miami, dude. We'll be home there.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, that's home crowd. That's home crowd, baby. That's home crowd. Um, but yeah, no, it it, I mean, Portugal was home crowd against Mexico and the US, too. There was a lot, I saw a video, ton of Mexican fans, a lot of Mexicans love Cristiano, and they were asking, I saw a like street interview, and they were asking them, would you rather Portugal win a World Cup, like Cristiano win a World Cup, or Mexico won a World Cup? And the majority of them were saying I'd rather Cristiano won a World Cup. So let me ask you this a second would you rather Cristiano win his own?

SPEAKER_03

Colombia, Colombia, Colombia, okay, Colombia, Colombia, Colombia. Come on. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Good answer. 100%. I mean, yeah, if Colombia gets eliminated, then I'm gonna be rooting for Cristiano Ronaldo, of course. Portugal's gonna be my second team. Well, USA and Portugal are gonna be my second teams, but no, Colombia over everything, dude. Colombia over everything.

SPEAKER_01

Good to know.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, you you would want Colombia to win a World Cup too over Messi.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, 100%.

SPEAKER_03

Before Messi even won his first World Cup. Colombia over everything, dude.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, 100%. Colombia wasn't in the last World Cup, so I I was a hundred percent rooting for Messi to win it in Argentina. So but anyway, that's good to know. Um, let's talk about the biggest story that happened this week. Italy out of the World Cup again for the third World Cup in a row. 12 years that Italy hasn't made it into a World Cup. It's crazy to think about because they're a four-time World Cup champion. They once were a nation where they had not only the best players but the best league in the world back in the 90s and the early 2000s. They had some ballers come out of Italy, and now we're looking at Italy as probably the biggest disappointment in world football right now.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yes, the biggest decline I think we've ever seen. It has to be studied. I don't know where the hell they went wrong, but they can't even qualify. When they expanded the tournament to 48 teams, I for sure thought they were gonna qualify. But no, we got Cotasau in there, we got Cape de Verde, we got Congo, Haiti, no Italy, Haiti, but no Italy? Uzbekistan, bro. No Italy insane to me, dude. We've seen Gianluigi Donaruma play since he was like 15, 16 years old and has never played a World Cup.

SPEAKER_01

Single World Cup. Isn't that crazy? This guy's going bald already, and he hasn't even played a World Cup.

SPEAKER_03

That's insane. I mean, if he makes it to the World Cup in four years, he'll be 31. Making your World Cup debut at 31 when we seen him play when he was like 16 years old, that's crazy to me, bro.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that is insane. I was looking at a stat. I was looking at a stat that since Italy won the World Cup in 2006, they've only won one game in the World Cup. One group game. I think it was in 2014.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, in 2010 and 2014, they got knocked out in the group stage.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, 2010 they got knocked out. Ever since they won that World Cup. It's just been downhill from there. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I don't know why they haven't like woken up from it. I don't know. You would have thought last time that they didn't make in the World Cup. Shit, the first time they didn't make the World Cup, they were like, all right, we gotta fix some things, but no. I don't know if they just can't develop players anymore or well, that's the honestly.

SPEAKER_01

I have no idea where they're focused on the city. I was looking into it a little bit, and there's been a lot of people talking about it on social media. I saw that the CBS sports guys talking about it with uh Matteo Wonetti. And after the 2010 debacle, where they got grouped without winning a single game, they appointed Roberto Waggio as part of the Federation to help improve Italian football.

SPEAKER_03

And did you see this? I I saw that too. I I saw something on TikTok. I don't know if it was on CBS, but I saw something on TikTok about it, and that they fired him like three years later. He had like a whole book.

SPEAKER_01

Where he basically laid it out for the Federation exactly what they needed to do. And there was like five main points. One of them was talking about youth development. They were talking, he also talked about developing better attackers, developing uh better coaching system for the coaches to develop better coaches, all of these things that other countries are doing, like England, like Germany, like France, like Spain, but Italy has fallen off, and they've just relied so much on their history and on their past that now they're stuck, and now they're it's been 20 years since they've gone past a group stage, and it's been 12 years since they've made it to a World Cup. So and Roberto Waggio didn't get fired, he quit because they wouldn't listen to him, and nothing in the Federation has changed since. So it has to come from the top, like the Italian Federation, the everybody that's in that front office within the Federation has to resign yesterday. They all have got to go. I think it's even to the point where the Italian government is getting involved because they want they want they want something to change. Like legitimately, the Italian government is getting involved because they're like, there is no way.

SPEAKER_03

Well, yeah, dude, we this is embarrassing. This is a national embarrassment. You can't make the World Cup with 48 teams. That's crazy, dude.

SPEAKER_01

But it if you look at Italy too, like we were we were comparing uh Colombia from 2014 to Colombia now. If you look at Italy, Italy 2006 to Italy in 2026, brother. I mean, it it is a it is a vast difference. And yeah, it's nice. There is not a it there's not a single player in it in the Italian national team where I'm like, oh, that's a world-class player right there. Aside from maybe Donema. Like there's no outfield player where I'm like, wow, that's a world club.

SPEAKER_03

They're all the only one that there's the only one that I I really like is Tonali from Newcastle. I like him. He's a very he's a very solid player. And I mean Bastoni is a respectable player, but wow, that red card was terrible. That's what that's what screwed him up. He's gonna go to Spain right away. To Barcelona. He's not gonna be able to go to he's not gonna be able to stay in Italy much longer because they're gonna kill him to his price better have declined at least fifty million.

SPEAKER_01

All right, we better get him for at least twenty million. Free. Free for free. I think I think I think he'll pay the transfer fee himself at this point. He's like, just get get me out of Milan. Yeah, they're gonna kill him over there.

SPEAKER_03

They are going to kill him. All the awake stadiums when he's playing with Inter Milan, they're gonna kill him, bro.

SPEAKER_01

But what terrible mistake what an atmosphere at that stadium in Bosnia.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it was they were going crazy. They were going crazy, man.

SPEAKER_01

And as soon as they scored that equalizer, I knew it was over for Italy. Actually, I take that back. I knew it was over whenever Bastoni had that red card. I said, this is it. They're not gonna do it. And they went to PK's man and the that youngin, what's his name? Esposito, I think, for Inter Milan. Esposito. As soon as I saw him walk up, I was like, oh, this guy's gonna send it to the ball. They were shitting themselves, bro. Yeah, the only one that made his penalty was Tonali. You could tell, man. As soon as that dude started walking up, I could tell on his he had fear in his eyes. I was like, oh, this guy is gonna sky this ball. And sure enough, he sent that ball to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That ball hit. That ball went to heaven, man.

SPEAKER_03

And Donna Ruma, too, man. There was there were some penalties where I thought he could have saved, especially that last one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. He just that was typically he's pretty good at penalties. I mean, he he did pretty well in the in the Euros England.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. But no, not here.

SPEAKER_01

Waterfall.

SPEAKER_03

So sad to see. Honestly, it's sad for world football, not just for Italians, just for the whole world. Because Italy has so much history. The second team with the most World Cups, and we haven't seen them there for 12 years. It's crazy. It's insane to me, man.

SPEAKER_01

But at the same time, like what like I mean, you talked about Tonali. I think I like Tonale as well. I think he's a he's a great player.

SPEAKER_03

I'm not saying he's world class, but he's like the only like maybe respectable, respectable player there. That's like, okay, this guy's good. He can play like in any good team in Europe, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I would say him, I would say Bastoni, and I would say probably Di Marco. Di Marco, but he's also pretty old.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but if I like Mosi Kian as well. He's a he's a good striker, but to have him as your starter. Yeah, no. No. He's not a world-class striker whatsoever. He's good. I like him. I'd rather have Borret. He scored the goal. Nah, relax, bro. You're crazy. Hell no. Nah, I think Mozican is respectable, but he can't be your main striker. You're not going to get far with him. Because he he had a clear chance to where he missed it. It was a good solo run, and then he just put it right past the keeper. But his goal was pretty sick, though. That one touch goal. That's the thing. Like, he'll score a golaso and then he'll fucking whiff it like that. Yeah, that's his thing.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, the th the thing is, so like we're not gonna get Italy again. But at the same time, I think about it and I'm like, there aren't really that many players in Italy that I'm like dying to watch. And even if they did make it to the World Cup, there would there would be a disappointment in the World Cup. I bet you they would get grouped.

SPEAKER_00

I bet you they would be grouped in the world.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, they would have been with uh Canada, Switzerland, and Qatar.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, they would have lost that for sure.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they would have got last place for sure.

SPEAKER_01

They would have lost that for sure, man.

SPEAKER_03

Um but think about it, they would have played like almost in their home turf. You know, because you're gonna be able to do that.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say, man, there's so many Italians over here in America and uh over in Canada as well. All them Italian Americans, man, they're pissed off. All them all them Brooklyn boys in New York. You know, them boys are pissed.

SPEAKER_03

All them mafia boys, they are pissed off, man.

SPEAKER_01

My God. You mean to tell me Italy didn't make the World Cup again? They didn't do it again.

SPEAKER_02

No, no. Oh man. Oh my no, give me some spaghetti and meatballs. We got nothing else to do. Just make some spaghetti and meatballs. Hey, Mikey, Italy's out of the World Cup again.

SPEAKER_00

Can you believe it? Mikey, can you believe it? I'm sitting here eating a fucking pizza trying to watch this game with Italy. I can't see it. Can't see Italy.

SPEAKER_01

Oh man. Oh man. Insane. They're gonna they're losing their mind. Anyway, Italy out of the World Cup again. What a what a what a disappointment. What a travesty. What a sad for world football. Sad. Sad indeed. Uh, but we'll move on. World Cup Italy. I mean, think about it.

SPEAKER_03

A team like Milan doesn't have any Italians in there. That's pretty sad. Como performing very well, also doesn't have any Italians.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't that crazy to think about? That's the that's that's what uh Bajio was talking about. Like there is no youth development in Italy because Italians aren't getting the the opportunities in Italy. I think um I forget who said it. God damn it. I think it uh man, I can't remember who said it, but somebody said recently that La Mino in Italy wouldn't have the same opportunity. Like La Migno Mall would have been shipped off to a different team. Isn't that crazy to think about it? That's crazy. That's crazy. And all the Italian youngsters are getting shipped off overseas and everything. They're focused on where they went wrong. Foreigners. Yeah, that's that's the thing. It's just you gotta start from the federation.

SPEAKER_03

The federation has to change, everyone has to get change because you gotta get Paolo Maldini in there, Nesta. You know, you gotta get like the players that know Italian football to run it now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, they gotta get a new coach. Got two cents working out.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, no, but he's never really been a good coach. No, he hasn't, man. If you look at his history, he has not been good. I think Carlo Ancelotti should have been the coach there, but I don't even know if he could have taken a shortcut. There's no way he would have fixed that.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think he would have, I don't think he would have done it either.

SPEAKER_03

So I think that's why he would much rather coach Brazil than Italy, because I think he's had plenty of offers from Italy, but I think he saw how far downhill they were going and he said no, thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I mean Brazil themselves aren't really looking all that great. I mean, they they they beat Croatia in a pretty convincing fashion, but against France, uh they lost two to one with with a 10-man France. I forget when they got the red card, but uh pretty disappointing showing from Brazil. I still think Neymar needs to be called up. Oh, 100%. We'll see.

SPEAKER_03

You need Namar in there. I think he would. I think he'll end up doing it. I don't see a World Cup without Neymar.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, man. He seems pretty adamant that he's not gonna call him up. I feel like if he would have called him up, he would have called him up already. I think I think it's gonna be I don't I'm not gonna be.

SPEAKER_03

Even to have him on the bench, even to have him on the bench, you know, just to come and even be with the squad too. That leadership, that presence. I think the the players as teammates would feed off of that for sure. If you see everyone from the Brazil national team, they all want to play with Neymar in the World Cup. Every single one.

SPEAKER_01

Everybody's calling for Neymar. Everybody wants Neymar in the world because Brazil isn't showing anything. There's no spark of that Joga bonito anywhere. There's no there's no flair. There's no there's there's nothing. Except for my boy Vinny putting those Croatians on skates. That was it. That's the only good show in Vinny's had with a Brazil jersey in God knows how long. So he's got the number 10. He's gotta rep it good.

SPEAKER_03

He's gotta rep it good.

SPEAKER_01

But anyway, speaking of Brazil, Croatia, he did it good. Speaking of Brazil, Rafinha gets hurt in the first half against France. Oof.

SPEAKER_03

And he's out for five weeks. I'm not celebrating. I'm not celebrating. I'm not happy about it.

SPEAKER_01

Five weeks, this guy's out. Carlo Anchelotti, you're on my shit list, my friend. Because that's blasphemous that we that he gets I don't I don't know what went wrong. I don't really know who's to blame because he's been carrying the same injury all season. It's the same injury that put him out for two months earlier in the year. He's got the same injury again, it's the same leg. This is the problem with these friendlies to me, is that a lot of these are meaningless. I think they're important to an extent to have before the World Cup, specifically to see where your team is at and how the integrity of the team is, the morale, all that stuff. I get that. But there is no reason to be playing these players who are coming from overseas, who have to travel so much, who have that all that fatigue already from traveling, from playing every three to four days with their uh in their prospective teams, and then we go on and start them and then put them on this in intense uh game against France. Is that is the uh is Gillette Stadium is that turf? I'm pretty sure. I don't think so.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I think I think they change it for soccer. I think the turf is literally just for football.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, no, they have new they they recently changed it to neutral grass to new to natural garage to meet FIFA standards.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So they they changed that, but man, it's really frustrating because now we lose one of our best players towards the most important stretch of the season. So it's it's really frustrating. But now, but listen, don't be first of all, celebrating another player's injury, that's crazy. Second of all, hey, that's one of your best players, and you need him right now. So but here's here's what's about to happen. Marcus Rashford, I'm talking to you right now. You're about to lock the fuck in, bro. I know you are. This is your time to shine. You're about to shine, my friend. You're about to show the world that Marcus Rashford that everyone fell in love with back at Manchester United. You have the opportunity right now to take Barcelona to the highest ground, become La Liga Champions and Champions League champions, being the starting left winger. I don't know why the fuck you're laughing. Be the starting left winger for the best team in the world, being able to replace one of the best players in the world currently, Marcus Rashford. I believe in you, man. This is your time to shine. This is why you're here and you have the opportunity to prove to the world why you are great and why we fell in love with you, my friend. Rashi, I'm counting on you, man. I know you got this. I know you do. You got it, man.

SPEAKER_03

I'm counting on you to be that player that Mane United wanted to let go. I'm counting on you. You're gonna be that player that Mania United didn't want. I'm counting on you, Rashford. I'm counting on you.

SPEAKER_01

Don't listen to him, man. You're gonna be the player that Michael Carrick wants to come back, and you're gonna be the player that Hansi Flick has no choice but to say, hey, we got to keep this guy. We got to keep this guy next year. You're gonna be that guy. You are that guy, pal. You are that guy. Let's go, Rashi. Yeah, I believe it. Whatever. Rush, Rashford's about to turn up. Rashford's about to turn up. I feel it. I feel it in my bones. He's got the opportunity, he's got the opportunity to shine. So, and right right before the World Cup 2, he will get his opportunity. He's good, but he's he's he's gonna do great.

SPEAKER_03

Listen, Anchilati shouldn't be on your shit list, though. It's not his fault that he wants to call up Rafinha. He has to call up Rafina. It should be FIFA, it should be Gianno Infantino. That should be the guy. It's it's the way they schedule. There's there was I mean you can't leave out a player like Rafinha from your squad. You just can't.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, but it's it's it's a matter of like it's it's like Luis de la Fuente, for example. Luis de la Fuente, the Spain's first game, I forget who they played, played all his starters. Second game against Egypt, played all the subs, except who? La Miña Mal. La Miñama was starting that fucking game. That that's different. That's different, bro. Come on, dude. Like, let's be fucking for real for a second, bro. Um, so yeah, I mean, I I I get it. Like you gotta thank God, man. But I uh I get I get why these fixtures happen and everything, but but at the same time, it's they're they're meaningless, really. Like there's not much to play for here besides just seeing where you guys are at prior to the World Cup. Let's let's be smart. Let's rest the players that need to be rested. I think Rafinha knew that he was he he he was feeling fatigued, he was feeling something, and he was still going all out, which I get it. You're playing for your your nation, your your country, all that. So he he should have been a little bit more careful as well. Could we have done some exams in Barcelona to see where he was at physically? I don't know, man. I could FIFA have scheduled it at different times. I hope like I don't know, because now we got he's missing the the quarterfinals, and he's gonna miss the semifinals as well if we make it that far for the Champions League. Yeah, that's crazy. And he's gonna miss like five or six games in La Liga, and it's a yeah, it's a huge, it's a huge miss. He might be out for the rest of the season. He may, if he doesn't, because last time he had this injury, he was supposed to be out for five weeks, came back too quickly, and then he was out again for like five weeks.

SPEAKER_03

Well, yeah, that's a problem. If it's the same injury that he's had all season, if it's been lingering, I think he's gonna prioritize the World Cup.

SPEAKER_01

A hundred percent. He is every player is every player is right now that they're gonna prioritize the world cup, but at the same time, you also need to play. You need you need to keep in shape, you need to be consistent and be playing consistently for the world cup, and he's not gonna have that opportunity. But anyway, um Rafinha's injured for five weeks, which is a bummer. But we move on. It's Rashford's time to shine. We got some big games coming up this this week. The Champions League going up next weekend. Um, so let's talk about that real quick because we got the quarterfinals starting. Obviously, Barcelona against Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid against Bayern Munich, Arsenal against Sporting, and then PSG against Liverpool. I think the first games, first, first, first batch of games are on Tuesday. I forget who plays first. Uh, let me look that up really quick. Yeah, I don't know. It's Real Madrid against Bayern first, and then Sporting Arsenal. Um, so you're still pretty convinced that Real Madrid's gonna win that.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah. Oh yeah. I'm kind of mad that the international break happened right now because we were really just starting to find our groove. And our below has got the dressing room following his orders, which is what we need. So I think I think we got this, especially with our recent history against Byron. I think that favors us, and I think we're gonna we're gonna go ahead and knock them out.

SPEAKER_01

Bye bye, Luchito. No, I definitely think Byron is gonna take you guys out. Uh I think he it's good to have that confidence, but I would say. Oh man, let's go, Byron, man. Mia San Mia. I believe in you, Byron. I believe in you, Lucho. Were you saying that you guys lost eight to two? You remember that?

unknown

Sorry.

SPEAKER_02

I was definitely saying Mia San Mia.

SPEAKER_01

I couldn't hear you. You're breaking up there for a second. You were breaking up there. Oh man, eight to two.

SPEAKER_03

Embarrassing.

SPEAKER_01

You were breaking up there. Um what happened in 2013 again? Bayern Madrid. 2013.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you guys lost 4-0 against Bayern, I think, right? That's what it was. And then 3-0 in the Camp New. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Was that 2013? You don't even know your freaking years, dude. I do. Yeah, you guys lost like 7-0 against Bayern Munich in the semifinals. So thanks for bringing that up, too. Yeah, you're right. 7-0 and then 8-2. You dummy. You're right. Mia San Mia again.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I believe in Bayern Munich. They're gonna crush you guys this time. They got you guys this time. Um, I don't know. Bayern Munich is gonna beat Real Madrid, Sporting against Arsenal. I mean, yeah, I think Arsenal's gonna go through Arsenal. Yeah, I think Arsenal's got this in the bag. And then we got um obviously Barcelona against Atlético Madrid, PSG against Liverpool. Who would you rather see win here? Who would you rather see as a Real Madrid fan? Would you rather see Atlético Madrid win or Barcelona win?

SPEAKER_03

My god, I hate both teams, but I definitely hate Barcelona way more. Um, I mean, a part of me wants you guys to win because I really want to see you guys in the final. Yeah. But at the same time, there's nothing better or just about nothing that makes me happier than seeing you guys lose. And just me having the bragging rights over you. Like, I have 10 more Champions Leagues than you, dude. I have 10 more. Like, there's nothing that makes me happier than having that bragging right and just seeing you put your hands to your face right now. That just you see how I'm smiling from like ear to ear? Nothing about this than that. So I love how your hopes get so high, and then they just get crushed. Like, because right now you're thinking, oh, we're gonna beat Atlantic Madrid easily. We're gonna beat Arsenal easily. Oh, we'll beat you guys easily.

SPEAKER_01

I wouldn't say easily, we're definitely gonna struggle because we always find a way to struggle.

SPEAKER_03

But um But yeah, it's we are gonna beat him. It makes me very happy just knowing that you're gonna suffer. Watching me win another Champions League.

SPEAKER_01

No, you're definitely not winning another Champions League, that's for damn sure. I was thinking about this the other day when we Barcelona should easily have at least another four Champions Leagues. I mean, at least we should at least have nine. Oh my god. Please entertain me. We should have won. We should have won one more under Guardiola under either 2010 or in 2012. We should have won. We should have we should have beaten.

SPEAKER_03

Well, 2012, we should have definitely won. That was our year with Marino. We should have definitely won. 2010, okay. Alright, maybe, maybe I might give you that one. But 2012, if we would have played you guys in the final.

SPEAKER_01

And we should have we should have won that semifinal, we should have gone to the final, and we we should we should have at least one more Champions League under Guardiola. There's no way that that we should have.

SPEAKER_03

I'll never forget when Torres scored, and then Neville was commentating, and he sounded like he had an orgasm there to Torres. You remember that? Yeah, I know. He was like, Torres!

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know. Friggin' Gary Neville. Of course, he wants uh Barcelona to lose. I would too if they embarrassed me at two Champions League finals. So man. But uh anyway, what was I saying? We should have um at least one under Valverde. Because that what year was that?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, uh when you guys lost to Roma, 3-0, Roma and Liverpool, 4-0.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we should have we should have had one. We should have had uh one under him because there is there's especially in when was it 2019 when we lost to Liverpool in the semifinal? We were we had a foot in the final already after beating them 3-0. There is absolutely no way that we should have let that second leg get away like that. And if we make it to the final, we beat Tottenham. We beat Tottenham. There's no way we lose to Tottenham. But the that that completely screwed us over. That I ah man, it's it's which one hurt more, Roma or Liverpool?

SPEAKER_03

They were both pretty bad.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I don't know, man. It's it's hard to choose which one hurt more because last year hurt pretty bad too against Inter. That that that one hurt pretty bad too. Um I would say it has been so long. Yeah. I would I would say the Liverpool one probably hurt a little bit more just because we we like we just we just had that in the bag we did all we had to do was just not concede four goals and guess what happened we conceded four goals as soon as it's was it a Rigi that scored the first one as soon as he scored that first goal yeah you guys started shitting yourselves and then you guys started having flashbacks from Roma for sure and that that I think that's the thing is that we let it happen again I think it's one thing if it happens once and you're like okay like we gotta get our shit together but if you let it happen again two years in a row that's what really bothered me that's that's when I was like this that's when in Valverde should have been fired but he wasn't he was allowed to continue but anyway that I could go on about this for hours but we should have had that that Champions League on the Valverde we we we should have had one because the way Messi was playing and carrying the team in 2018 and 2019 was unbelievable to me and the fact that we couldn't win a world cup or a world cup a champions league that year and then in 2012 whenever he had his best season and in 2010 whenever we could have had um other glory that we let enter Mourinho beat us incredible to me and then last year last year the fact that we lost to inter the way that we did last year and then they go on blow it in the final that's what pissed me off even more and then it's you guys would have got blown out by PSG too no we wouldn't have there's there's no way we would have 100% 100% you guys maybe you guys would have scored two or three but definitely would have let in five no we we wouldn't have let in five uh dude enter put five past you guys was it five or four i can't remember how much it was if enter did it PSG would have been able to do it yeah thank you PSG would have definitely put at least five past you too I think I think if if we were to have Jron Garcia in goal last year I think we have a different story I think we're talking about us being Champions League champions yeah so too bad that didn't happen but those are those are the ones and then still without a Champions League for what 11 years it's been a long time dude been a long time I've won six since then six more than your whole club has in their whole history you can never say that and then uh what was the other one that I was looking at oh what fucking was that oh the another one under Cruyff in 90 in 93 94 we got to the final and we're going way back you're going way back we blew it we completely blew it against Milan we got destroyed four now there is no way that with that team that dream team that we had with Romario with Guardiola with Ronald Coleman with Historikov we should have won another Champions League under Croyffe as well so there's four we should we should have nine Champions Leagues realistically we should but we don't we fucked it up every time we found a way to fuck it up and it's Champions League just as you guys' competition yeah and it it just shouldn't be that way we should we we have to change that um and this year's the year to do it so we're beating it we're we we're beating Athletic Melody for sure rashford is gonna show the world why he's gonna be a Barcelona player again next season and then PSG Liverpool uh I think PSG's gonna win that one I think Liverpool is just having too many inconsistencies this season so that happens against again uh this coming this coming week we got uh la Liga again we're Barcelona's playing atletico Madrid as well so we play atletico marine like back to back to back that's gonna be a lot of fun uh to not have Rafinha for god damn it okay a lot of Atlanta Madrid a lot of Atletico Madrid and then you guys play uh yeah you guys play Madrid Mallorca and Mallorca yeah they're they're fighting relegation yeah uh so they get Militao back too so that's amazing oh yeah he's he's back after long he was our best yeah he was our best defender before he got injured so it's good to have him back we'll see how he he uh he returns how healthy he is but we need him for sure hopefully he can get back to his form at the very end of the season we got the FAQ quarterfinals FAQ FA Cup quarterfinals Man City Liverpool Chelsea Portville and then Southampton Arsenal Man City Liverpool is going to be the toughest one um right there uh who else plays hold on yeah that'll be interesting to see who goes through yeah I would that that would be interesting to see uh I think I think Man City beats Liverpool has Arsenal beats only Champions League in the FA Cup so they're gonna try to win something especially now that you know Sala's gone yeah oh yeah we didn't even talk about that Sala's leaving Liverpool holy crap so I I think he's gonna want to live with some silverware at least with an FA Cup where do you think he's going to uh I mean I would say either Saudi or MLS I don't think he'll stay in Europe you don't think so I think so I mean Saudi makes sense for him why why does it make sense for him well because he's Muslim and it's a Muslim country that's hilarious same same reason it made sense for Benzema Muslim going to a Muslim country man well speaking of which man in the in that the the Spain versus uh Egypt game there was some anti-Muslim chance going on that was pretty sad to see because yeah dude and Muslim Lamin Yamal is what Lamin Yamal had to put out a statement basically denouncing all those chants of calling a bunch of Espanol fans of course they were booing Joan Garcia too yeah fuck them fuck them they're a bunch of wannabes they're a bunch of nobodies stay in your fucking way I can't even argue that because that's true yeah but I mean anyway they're they're your rivals yeah they ain't even rivals they're just they just happen to be in the same city as us them losers they're just your annoying little sister your trashy little sister yeah that's that's what it is they're just a trashy trashy little sister hey man what you doing out again yeah what are you saying leave me alone leave me alone let the big boys play hey don't ever let the Spanish national team go to freaking Cornell again leave go don't don't let which is like if you're born in Barcelona what makes you want to support español instead of Barcelona I yeah who knows it's a great question you know I have no idea that's a great question has to run in the blood yeah that's uh JJ Watson like if your dad or your grandpa yeah yeah yeah he he's like a part owner but yeah if your grandpa or your dad isn't supporting that team I don't understand why you would yeah I don't know man sometimes it's it'd just be like that they'd say they need a little bit of loving too every team needs some sort of loving they need some fans so they gotta go find them in the you know but still like how do you become a fan when you're in the same city as Barcelona like I don't understand that who knows dude who knows it's like how do you become a how do you become a guetafe fan being in the same city as Atlético Madrid in Real Madrid yeah that's true that is very true I have no idea or Rayo Ajacano I have no idea but they're out there they're out there bro yeah they're all I low key think those supporters support like both guitafe and real madrid or atletico madrid like they support two teams probably I think I think there are there are some teams that or excuse me some fans that do that yeah for sure because they gotta have they gotta they gotta you know celebrate some sort of glory right yeah they gotta celebrate some sort of glory man but all right all right man well it's been it's been fun we've got to catch up on on everything that's happened this weekend international break no days off for footy so much happened it was great to be out in Orlando with all of our fellow Colombians rooting on for the for the national team even though we didn't get a win we still have
