And what's going on, everyone, man? It's another another episode, another week here of the Friendly Foes. We're here to break it down because so much has happened this past week. The Champions League final is officially set between Arsenal and PSG. PSG going to back-to-back finals for the first time ever in the history of their club. Arsenal back in the Champions League final after 23. They're riding a high because in the Premier League, Man City big bust against Everton this past Monday. And we'll get further into that. And then we got Inter Merlan City of Odd Champions. We got El Clasico this weekend coming up. The Real Madrid dressing room seems like it's falling apart. But don't worry. We're here to break it all down. Don't worry. We got a lot to talk about. We're about to break it all down right here, right now, with the Broski, with my foe, my friendly fro. Man, Juan Di, how are you doing today?
SPEAKER_01We're doing. We're doing. Solid week of Champions League. We got a good game between PSG and Bayern. Not as chaotic as we we had it last week, but it was still a pretty good game. What were your thoughts on it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I thought that. It wasn't nearly as chaotic as I thought it would be. I thought the first start, the first what, three, four minutes after Den Ballet scored that goal, I was like, oh, here we go. It's gonna be another thriller. We're in for a roller coaster, but it ended up not. It ended up not being that. It uh Bayern weren't as intense as they were in the first leg. I didn't think their front three were their front three weren't as good. KOD weren't really matching up to the level of expectation that they needed to be. But uh man, it was uh it was still a decent game. Harry Kane came out at the literally the last minute. A little too late. It was his only his only shot on target was on goal. Yeah, he was quiet the whole game.
SPEAKER_01That's all he did was that shot.
SPEAKER_02A little too late. It gave them just it gave them that little bit of confidence that they could do something at right there at the end. But man, a little bit of a questionable refereeing decisions as well.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02In this game. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Some questions two handballs, one actually both favoring, supposed to be favoring Bayern Munich. I think one of them is definitely a handball. The other one, we can let it slide because it was a handball from Lamer, the right back from Bayern Munich. It was a handball from him first, and then Nuno Mendez got that handball afterwards. Right afterwards, it it bounced right off of Nuno Mendez's hands, but it touched Limer's hand first. So I don't think that's that's a handball there for Nuno Mendez. And then the other one was who was the one that shot it? I forgot who shot it, who just Vitinha. Vitinha, yes. He just tried to rip it out of his own 18, and then Draw Neves had his hand deliberately up, and it touched his hand. I mean, I don't know. I I know it's from your own teammate, but what can you play a wide receiver now, too? If you're if your goalkeeper is passing it to you, can you just catch it with your hands? You know? That's just not part of the game. I mean, if his hand was tucked into his body, okay, but his hand was deliberately up. I just I understand, I guess, that the ref doesn't have to be a couple of things. It was like a sub controversial. Yeah, I mean, that would be a controversial call either way. And I guess the ref didn't want to get involved with that, but yeah, that that was that was a clear handball there. Especially because of the first leg, too, how they called the penalty on Alfonso Davis right after it went off his thigh. So that that that makes it pretty unclear of what the rules are when it comes to a handball.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, and if you think about it, that penalty was basically the deciding factor in the entire draw. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was. Because PSG ended up winning by just one goal. That penalty doesn't call we go to overtime. By a referee mistake. Yeah, man. I it's funny because I've seen that Nuno Mendez once at least two or three times. I don't see a handball by Lamer at all. I don't see it.
SPEAKER_01I don't know where it is. I didn't see it clear handball right before Nuno Mendez gets his handball. There's a clear handball. I'll have to see it again.
SPEAKER_02I guess I haven't seen in too many different angles.
SPEAKER_01That's why it cancels out Nuno Mendez's handball because it was a clear handball by Nuno, but it touched Limer's first. And it would have been a second yellow. It would have been a second yellow, too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It would have been a second yellow. The other one with Draw Nevis, yeah. Everybody's pulling out the rule book and saying that if it comes from your own teammate, it actually doesn't count. But then, exactly like you said, it comes down to the interpretation. What is even a handball anymore? Nobody knows. Nobody knows what I can do.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. So it's like you can just pass it to your own teammate and they can just play wide receiver and catch it with their hands. Let me just roll it up real quick. That's not how it works. That's not how it works. I get it. I mean, it was an accident. It's not like he meant to get the ball with his hand, but it happened. I mean, like you said, it was over the hand, his hand was over his head.
SPEAKER_02So Yeah, that to me is a lot more clear than the Fonsey Davis one. Yo, yeah. It's a it's a lot more clear. You can pull out your rule books and all these things, but it's it's so inconsistent. The refereeing decisions are so inconsistent, and that's why it's so frustrating. And it's it's funny because I think Byron are one of the teams that gets screwed over the most, especially in European competitions, by the refereeing decisions because they're so inconsistent, specifically towards them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So and you know, this was a Portuguese ref, and I was looking that this same exact incident happened in the Portuguese league, and it was given as a penalty. Same exact scenario.
SPEAKER_02It's funny, I saw the same exact thing. It was a it was a Porto game against I forget who the rival was. There's no consistency anywhere, man. That's why we have to start off talking about the refs always, which is so frustrating. But aside from the the controversial refereeing decisions, I thought it was a pretty decent game. Like we said, it wasn't the fireworks that we were expecting. Yeah, I think it's a more organized game.
SPEAKER_01The ones who wanted uh a game without so many goals, not much chaos, got what they wanted. I think all football fans got what they wanted in this series. There was a crazy game, 5-4, and then another one where it was more balanced, more reserved, more conservative gameplay. I think all football fans should love what we saw in this series between PSG and Byron.
SPEAKER_02This game, PSG showed their defensive prowess as well. William Pacho had a phenomenal game. Yeah, man of the match. Sofonoff, I mean, this guy had like five saves where I was like, are you is Manuel know you're playing for PSG? What's going on here?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, that guy put his name on the map, too. They clearly don't miss Donaruma. I was like, why is he getting rid of Donaruma? But the keeper didn't have Matthew.
SPEAKER_02The first half of the season, they were they were struggling. Ironically enough, this is the second time that PSG makes a final back-to-back, right? Under Luis Enrique. And last year they didn't make it straight into the top eight, so they had to go into that play-in round. And then same thing with this year. So the first half of the season, they struggled a little bit, specifically in the Champions League. Last year they did. This year they did again. But now, man, whenever it's time to get hot, come March, April, May time frame.
SPEAKER_01That's when they need to get hot. And that's yeah. That's when they need to perform. I mean, in the league on, they clearly don't have crazy competition. There's nobody that's up to their standards. And the Champions League, that's knockout rounds. So yeah, they gotta turn it up. And of course, Dembele's back too. So that's a good thing. Exactly. That's super important. He's been that's a big plus.
SPEAKER_02That's a huge plus for them, man. And Cavaruskely is playing out of his mind.
SPEAKER_01William Potter's playing out of his mind. Cavaraskely is ridiculous, man. If he was English, Brazilian, Spanish, he would be a contender for Balandoro over Dembele, I think.
SPEAKER_02That's not a bad show. The only thing is that he's also been uh during the league, he he they like him and Dembele haven't really played that much in the in League On. I think they have under a thousand minutes this whole season, which is crazy.
SPEAKER_01It's nothing.
SPEAKER_02It's nothing, man. But yeah, no, he's a he's a amazing player. I'm sad. I'm sad we were not gonna be able to see him in the World Cup. Yeah, because that's somebody that you would want to see.
SPEAKER_01That sucks. Well, I was gonna say nobody watches League On, anyways. We're just watching Champions League, and that's when he shows up. So that is true, man.
SPEAKER_02If you're out of outside of France, there's not that many people watching League O'Connor.
SPEAKER_01No, nobody at all, dude.
SPEAKER_02That's funny, man. But yeah, no, it was it was a tough game, intense game, but PSG, man, they're gonna be a very good thing.
SPEAKER_01Very good defensively, like you said. Byron had no answers. No answers. I also feel like they, like you said, they weren't so intense. Like they didn't really come out like how they did against Real Madrid or even the first game against PSG, just putting in that pressure. Like, I don't know why there wasn't as much intensity. But I also got to give some credit to PSG because they really, really held them down. I mean, there were times where all 11 players were in their area just defending. That's the thing about PSG, is all 11 players had the same work they're gonna do. They all give it their role. They defend like crazy. If you're not running on that team, your your ass is going on the bench. So everybody has to give it 100%. Everybody. Byron really had no answers at home. Byron is a phenomenal team. Those three up top between Kane, Olisa, and Luis Diaz, are probably the best three in the world. And they had no answers at all. Emery? No. He was struggling a little bit with Lucho at first, but he he had a really solid game. Freaking they didn't miss Hakimi at all. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's almost like they weren't playing with a right back. Did you see how he was playing more centrally and they were playing more like uh like three center backs? Yeah, Lucio Vicky had a perfect game plan for that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's a genius. This guy has evolved into his own, like another version of Guardiola, but like uh I don't even know how to explain.
SPEAKER_01I think right now he is the king of modern football. That yeah, it's he's got modern football down to a T. 15, 16 years ago, everybody wanted to be like Guardiola, wanted to play that tiki taca. Now it's like, all right, let's do what Luis Enrique is doing. Let's do that high press. Let's do the high intensity, let's do that, because that seems to be working nowadays. So right now he's the one that's coming up with that.
SPEAKER_02He's the one that settled himself for it. He's got he's got a down bet, man. He's like uh I think he he's multiplied himself somehow. He's got he he he's like an AI version of a perfect manager at this point. It's insane.
SPEAKER_01He's he's I mean if we can do this with PSG, that's that's crazy, man. Because PSG have never been at this level with the players that they had. And now he got rid of there's no Messi, there's no Mm-hmm. There's no Mbappe.
SPEAKER_02Got rid of Mbappe. And then back how you do you know right now, Mbappe. This guy is he on side watch?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, dude, he's he wants to kill himself right now. He I mean, two years old Paris in two years that they make the final. How crazy is that that speaks for itself. That speaks for the Champions League winner and now we haven't done shit with him.
SPEAKER_02How crazy is that he's he he clearly is a problem. You could tell as soon as PSG, I wouldn't say got rid of him, but as soon as Real Madrid got Mbappé from PSG, Luis Enrique almost looked happy about it. There was there's a there's a couple of clips of of him going around where he he was saying last year, this was the summer that Mbappe left. He was saying last this past season, there were some instances where I couldn't control some aspects of the game because I couldn't control certain players, but this coming season I'm gonna control all of them. Yeah, all of them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he every single one of them. That's crazy. And the fact that they're winning with him controlling everything just goes to show you how much of a genius this guy is. He really is.
SPEAKER_02Genius, genius.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's an absolute genius. He's definitely the best manager in the world at the moment. I don't think there's much debate about that, especially if he goes back to back on Champions Leagues.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm gonna have to get him to chill a little bit because our three P is in danger right now. And I cannot have anybody close to Real Madrid on that. Because nobody has even been back to back other than Real Madrid. So our R3P is in danger right now. It really is. Yeah, this is true.
SPEAKER_02You guys are the only ones that have gone back to back. I don't I can't remember many other teams who have who have gone back to back finals, too. I'm trying to think.
SPEAKER_01I would say you in 08 and 09, but yeah. Yeah, back-to-back finals.
SPEAKER_02Not many, not many teams have done it. Like that's how difficult it is to win the championship. Liverpool.
SPEAKER_01Liverpool did back-to-back finals, 18 and 19.
SPEAKER_02That's Liverpool did. They lost on day one. Yeah. So it it but it hasn't happened too often. And PSG's done it now back to back, and they have a very good shot of winning the whole thing yet again. And they don't have a shot at the trouble because they're out of they're out of cooped the fronts. They got knocked out of that. But they could do an another double Champions League and uh League On, which more than likely they're gonna win in the next couple of weeks officially here. So, but the big one is the Champions League. That's the one that they've been wanting to be.
SPEAKER_01Now they're about to get it back to back. That's freaking crazy, man. I can't believe that. I would have never even thought that I would witness PSG lifting a Champions League trophy in my last year. I didn't either, man. After they had all those players in like this past decade, and they weren't able to win one. I was like, there's no way they're ever gonna win one, dude. Not only did they have those three up front, but they also had Slata and they had Di Maria, Cavani, Virati, Thiago Silva. I mean, bro, the names that they've had are just fucking ridiculous. And now one Champions League with them, and then here comes Caravascela, Usmane Dembele, and uh Desiree Due. Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_02And guys that, you know, he he really he put a lot of um thought and analysis into the recruiting structure because before they were just recruiting the bigger names, and they were just recruiting names that were gonna sell jerseys and when to sell out stadiums. They're still spending a lot of money, don't get me wrong, but they're spending money on the right type of players, going out and getting a player like Vitinha, a player like Gerald Neves, right? These are players that prior to them joining PSG, they weren't really known as the other. That's the reason why they are so dominant, is because of that midfield.
SPEAKER_01That midfield is ridiculous. Those four players that they have in the midfield, Emery, Fabian, Gerald Neves, and Vitina are just ridiculous. And I don't even think Emery was in the picture last year. Now he is, and now it's just more competition. He's taken Fabian Ruiz out of the out of the midfield, which Fabian Ruiz is to me, Fabian Ruiz is one of, if not the most underrated player in the world. Fabian Ruiz.
SPEAKER_02He is, he's up there for sure.
SPEAKER_01Super underrated. Like way too underrated. He's one of the best midfielders in the world, hands down. Like during the Euros goal in the Bayern against Bayern Munich today. He started that goal, the first goal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He's a beast, man. He's a beast.
SPEAKER_02And even even during the Euros, people were people were saying, like, why is this guy starting in the midfield? And he ended up being, I think, in the team of the of the tournament in the Euros two years ago. And and they won, and now he's been a uh very crucial playing a very crucial role for PSG and their success the last couple of campaigns. He's amazing. Luis Enrique also invested in somebody like William Pacho. Who the hell knew about William Pacho before him coming to PSG? Not many big Ecuadorian center backs coming out of Ecuador. He's one of the best center backs in the world at the moment, right? Gets rid of also the best goalkeeper in the world and Donoruma. Gets this other guy, Chevalier or whatever. That didn't work out. Well, don't worry. I got this backup Russian who apparently can turn into Luigi Buffon. Yeah. It's insane. Not only that, I'm also gonna go out and turn Hakimi and Nuno Mendez into the best fullbacks of this generation that we've seen since freaking Kafu and Roberto Carlos. And then on top of that, I'm gonna make Dembele. Remember that guy that everybody laughed at in Barcelona? Remember that guy that he was always injured at Barcelona. Nobody took him seriously. Well, that guy, yeah, I'm gonna make him a Ballon d'Or winner. And here he is. And I'm gonna go get this other guy from Georgia who was crushing it in Napoli. Well, he's gonna come crush it here at PSG. And I'm gonna go get these other two little French guys, Desire Douay, Bradley Barcola. The recruiting has been top-notch. It's exactly what they needed. And Luis Enrique has been at the forefront of it. So they they got rid of the idea of let's get the Messi's, the Neymars, the Slata, and the Ramos, and let's go get proper players. Young, young future upcoming stars that we can spend the money on. We can pay them high wages, and they can come play here and they can be in the right structure under Luis Enrique, and that's what they've done, and props to them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what a project. What a project. And I hate PSG, honestly. Just a bunch of auto money, like the whole thing that they did with Mbappé, just I know you hate him because of what happened with Neymar. It was just annoying. I was gonna say they already team.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna touch on it a little bit later, but since you brought it up, man, who are you rooting for in this final? Because I'll be rooting for Arsenal. You both hate PSG. You rooting Arsenal? You're going all.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm gonna be going for Arsenal for sure. I know a lot of people don't want Arsenal to win because of their fans, but dude, like I said, I cannot have our three P. Like I just cannot risk somebody else having another three P other than us. That just can't happen. It's in danger right now. So if PSG wins another one, it's it's very likely that they could go to the final again next year, too, with this squad. Well, you guys won the first five.
SPEAKER_02You guys won five in a row.
SPEAKER_01So that's yeah, but I'm talking about the um like the new era of the Champions League since '92 or whenever it was. Nobody has been able to win back to back. And we were the first team to win back to back, and obviously first team to win a three-pee. So I it's gotta stay that way. We can nobody can beat that record. Plus, I just I don't like PSG. They already won it last year. Fuck them, dude. You guys had your had your little Cinderella story last year. Now let Arsenal do it. Let them win the Premier League, let them win the Champions League, and just let them have their moment, dude. Because who knows when when they'll get this moment ever again. Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_02I was on the same boat, I was I was up in the same boat, I was like, man, I hate PSG. I do like the way Luis Enrique has PSG playing. And I like Lucique. Yeah, you can't deny that.
SPEAKER_01You can't deny that.
SPEAKER_02He's a Barcelona guy, coaching a really, really fun team. They're super enjoyable to watch. So, but yeah, I mean, I do hate PSG as a whole. Arsenal fans do, they are very annoying on Twitter, I will say. They're super annoying. Yeah, social media.
SPEAKER_01They will not shut up for a whole year. They wouldn't history if they win the Premier League and Champions League.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're already talking about like, oh, like we were the invincibles in the Premier League, we're about to be the invincibles in the Champions League. And I was like, oh my god, you guys are gonna be insufferable with this invincible bull crap after, you know, beating freaking sporting and uh Leverkusen. Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid. Let's get into that game really quick because that Arsenal Atletico Madrid Arsenal obviously wins. They go through two to one overall score, make it to the final for the first time in 20 years. But I do want to give a shout out to them really quick before I get into my overall analysis, because if you look at six years ago where they were the first time Arteta took over, I think they were they they were finishing like eighth or ninth place. They were struggling. And to see where the progression that he's taken them since he took over six years ago to where they're at now has been huge because they were nowhere near sniffing a Premier League, nowhere even near sniffing a Champions League, Champions League final, let alone actually lifting a champions league. Props to them, and Arteta really has. Has turned the the project around. I'm glad that the board has stayed confident in him and people have given him confidence because it took a while. Overall, I think it took a while. It took a really long time and a ton of money he spent, and he spent a ton of money on players, and he's building this big project. And the board had faith in him. But props to him, man. If you you look at it now, it's really exciting. It's really exciting for Arsenal fans. So shout out to Arsenal fans, shout out to Nigel Arteta. They've been through hell and back. Uh Bukayo Saka. That's somebody who I personally root for a lot. He just seems like such a good dude. He just seems like such a humble guy, super respectful, super well-mannered. And overall, he's a great player. And he's a homegrown kid, man. He scored the winning goal to take you to the Champions League final, bro. Like that's you know That's a beautiful story. Cinderella's story right there. It doesn't get any better than that. You started off as a left back, now he's a right winger.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when Arteta took over and he was a left back.
SPEAKER_02In the world. Yeah. And now he's a right winger and he's up there as one of the best.
SPEAKER_01Some people say he's better than Prime Neymar.
SPEAKER_02I wouldn't go all that far. Some Arsenal fans, I've heard it out there, dude. I've heard it out there. I know. This is why Arsenal fans are tough, man. That's what they're they're they're tough to root for because they got Arsenal fans saying things like that, like, oh, Saka's better than Neymar. Or Declan Rice is better than Xavi or Iniesta or Luka Molovic. That is stupid. Fellas, come on, man. I'm trying to root for you, man. Yeah, right. Just shut the fuck up. I'm talking about make for a way like Isis Paris, you know? Yeah. Right. Yeah. Ridiculous. Make me want to start speaking French. Friggin' Jetin Paris. Ridiculous, man. But anyway, shout out to them. Shout out to them. But getting into the game, it was still kind of a boring game. There was really not much going on. I wouldn't say Arsenal completely dominated Atletico as much so as I think Atletico just absolutely sucked.
SPEAKER_01Dude, I don't understand Simeon's substitutions. Why are you going to take out your two best players for two defensive players? Three? Yeah, Lookman. He took out Lookman too, right? Before Alvarez and um and Griezmann. He took them all out by the 65th minute when you need a goal.
SPEAKER_02I was so confused by that.
SPEAKER_01After he took them out, I'm like, all right, dude, you're done. You're not scoring four goals.
SPEAKER_02It's over. I mean, you brought it up. Alex Baena, Sorloth. Sorloth, I I got I got I got some beef with you, Soroth, man. Because how come every time you play Barcelona, you turn into the best striker in the world, you're in the Champions League semis against Arsenal, and you look like a demented raccoon out there, brother.
SPEAKER_01What is going on? Demented raccoon, Jesus. No, it's true though. It's true. They didn't do anything. Absolutely anything. But, dude, Simeona substitutions, that that was I had scratches for me. I did not understand that. I don't know. Like, if he wanted to lose, he didn't care to go to the final. Like, why are you trying to defend more if you need to score? That's I mean, his mind is just always it's just always defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense. He can't even fucking.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like, what are you defending, bro? And the thing is, like, he he's got the right players to play attacking football. He clearly knows how to do it because he scored five against Real Madrid earlier this season. He put four past us in a couple of the ray.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. He's one of the most confusing coaches I've ever seen. We make fun of Arteta all the time for coming in second and for being in Arsenal for six years, not winning anything. What about Simeone, bro? He's always coming second, third. Like it's about to be a good thing. Exactly, dude. Like he doesn't win titles. He does not win titles.
SPEAKER_02So, yeah, that's the crazy thing. So this is their fifth year in a row. They're about to go trophyless. Fifth year in a row. And what I find to be really, really frustrating is that Simeone's still playing the underdog gimmick. Oh, we're just little old Atletico Madrid. We're just this little bit of a big thing. Oh, fuck that, dude. You're you're part of the big boys now. Exactly, man. Like you, the this is not 15 years ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they gotta have that mentality.
SPEAKER_0215 years ago, whenever you first took over, man. This is this is now. The past couple of seasons, you spent almost half a billion uh euros. Spent a lot of money. I think in the past five seasons, he's one of the top five managers who spends the most. Not only that, he is the highest paid manager in all of football right now. Ahead of Luis Enrique, ahead of Pep Guardiola, ahead of Hansi Flick, ahead of company, ahead of everybody. And this guy can't win a trophy for the past five seasons. We're talking about Arsenal giving a lot of faith to Arteta or giving him a lot of leeway. I'd love to have Simeone's job security, bro, where I can go five seasons straight, spending all that money being the highest paid coach in all of football, and then not win a single thing.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy to me, dude. That wouldn't fly anywhere else. They just feel like they owe him because without him, they wouldn't be where they are right now. Which, yeah, that's true. But at the same time, it's like, all right, buddy, you haven't won absolutely anything in look in five years. It's time to part ways. I think Atletico and C. Melona should definitely start looking into parting ways because it's been too long. He's been there for 15 years. He's got what two Europa leagues, one Copa del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, and two La Ligas.
SPEAKER_02No, two WEFA Super Cups, yeah. He he beat Chelsea and then he beat the beat you guys in 2018.
SPEAKER_01So I mean to two Champions League finals, but he he hasn't crossed over that finish line in the Champions League. And and the league, he's gotta be more consistent. He can't just be satisfied with being in third place. Like you said, brother, like it's not 15 years ago anymore. You're you're one of us, you're one of the big three in Spain. You gotta compete. You know, you you can't just wave goodbye to the league in in February or January, whenever it was. Like they gotta keep competing, and I think we're fine with it. Because they're expected to just come in third place. They're expected to just make the Champions League and then go as far as possible when they do make the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. I think not winning the the Copa del Rey, that that that was a big fumble.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was a big thing. That was a huge fumble.
SPEAKER_01Huge fumble. That's the one they needed. No disrespect to La Real, but as an Atletico fan, I'd be like, all right, it's time to get rid of Simeona, because that was the title that you needed to win. After beating Barcelona, then no Real Madrid there, only Real Sociedad, you have to win that, man. You have to win that. Especially after not winning a title in five years. That's the trophy you really needed to strive to win.
SPEAKER_02That's that's what's getting annoying to me is that Simeona keeps playing the underdog card that this were this little just humble clip from Madrid, and that's just not the case for all the reasons that we just listed. Like after the game, he made a comment of like, oh, I really love what Arteta's done with Arsenal. I mean, he does have the financial backing to get some of the biggest players in Europe, so it is what it is. We keep moving forward, and it's like, no, bro. Shut up. You've spent you've spent more money than Arteta has the past two seasons. Shut up, man. You are higher paid than Arteta is. You should not be talking about this underdog gimmick anymore, man. This is why you haven't won a trophy in in five years, because you keep thinking that you're the underdog. You're not the underdog anymore, man. There's no way that you should be losing a Copa de Rey final to La Real Sociedad. There's no way they should be finishing fourth place right now in La Liga, 25 points behind league leaders in Barcelona. And listen, I know this is rich. It's it's good, man.
SPEAKER_01They got a lot of good players. I mean, Julian Alvarez, Sorloth, just that attack, Griezmann. That attack is it's a great attack, man. And like you said, they obviously know how to play attacking football. They put five past Real Madrid, they put four past Barcelona. Like, why can't they do it against other teams? I'm telling you, their only purpose in life is just to freaking be Real Madrid in Barcelona. That's it. That's all they care about, dude. Everything else are just like, whatever. I don't care. That's the only thing that pleases their fans.
SPEAKER_02Like little gnats at a barbecue, man. You could every time they play against you, you just can't get rid of them.
SPEAKER_01Yes, dude.
SPEAKER_02They're always like in your face.
SPEAKER_01You got an annoying ass team, dude. They're just annoying as hell. They're just there. Annoying as hell. They don't win anything, but they just annoy the shit out of you.
SPEAKER_02That's it. Exactly, man. That's that's what annoys me the most.
SPEAKER_01They're an annoying ass obstacle to try to actually win the trophies.
SPEAKER_02What annoys me the most is that as soon as we lost to them, I was like, I know they're not gonna win the Champions League. And this is what pisses me off the most. With Copa de Rey, I was like, all right, maybe at least they'll win that. And they didn't even win that. Yeah, I don't know what you thought they would have won the Copa del Rey. As a Barcelona fan, because they beat us and like whatever, fair play to them. But at least we're not going trophy less. At least we got two out of four. You went 0 for 4 two seasons in a row. Yeah. And okay, your trophy at the end of the season is what? You beat Barcelona and Copa del Rey in Champions League.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, dude, if they would have won Copa del Rey and at least made it to the Champions League final, that would have been a really good season for them.
SPEAKER_02It would have, but now it's a bust. Now it's a complete bust.
SPEAKER_01Now it's a complete failure for season. And looks like Juliana was gonna be honest with the thing. Griezmann's leaving.
SPEAKER_02Griezmann's leaving without having won any Copa del Rey, Champions League, or league titles for Atlético Madrid. Sad. Now he's off to Orlando. We'll wait for you here, Greece. We'll wait for you right here. Greasy's a lion, baby. I can't wait to see him play. It's gonna be exciting. But yeah, now it's it's really sad to see Atlético Madrid play like that. I really thought that they were gonna beat Arsenal. I was like, the way they played against Barcelona.
SPEAKER_01I thought they were gonna make it the final.
SPEAKER_02There's no way they don't beat Arsenal. Like they they they gotta they're gonna go out there the game. Especially because how bad Arsenal was playing. Arsenal out of the water. Yeah, at the time Arsenal was not playing very well very well. And I still don't think they're playing like super well. But because I I don't think they completely outplayed Atletico. I just think Atletico played really, really bad. I think they I kept watching that game and I was like, how did we let this team beat us, man? Oh, that's right. We got two red cards in two different games. That's how. We got two red cards. You can't beat that team with ten men both times. That's crazy. But that beat you with Del Ray, too. I know, but the the annoying thing is that we played them six times this season, and we beat them four out of those six times. And we still couldn't get through. It's because they just happened to score one more goal than us in the stupid knockout stage, man. So frustrating. God bless it. Anyway, I'm not salty at all about this. God damn it. Do you guys think you could have beat Arsenal? Yeah, for sure. For sure. Arsenal, yeah. I think so. I think Arsenal's obviously a very good team. I don't think we put like five past him, but we would have we would have made it a lot more competitive than Atletico Madrid. We would have made it a lot more exciting. I think we would have really seen that would have been the biggest steps for Arsenal is playing s against somebody like Barcelona because the way that we press and we attack is something that they don't typically see and that they don't typically they're not typically used to. And we would have I would have been curious to see how Arteta showed up for that game. And I would have been curious to how Hansi Flick set up for that game as well, because that that would have been a very interesting game strategically and tactically.
SPEAKER_01It would have been more interesting than what we got for sure.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it would have been a lot more interesting. The annoying thing is is that we we wouldn't have had Rafinha and we wouldn't have had Lamin because he's hurt for the rest of the season. That's true. That's what would have screwed us over.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That yeah, not having a lot of things. That's what would have screwed us over. Yeah, you guys definitely would have been screwed there for sure.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So without Lamin and without Rafinha, I think it's a different story. But I think it we still would have been more competitive. And obviously, as a Barcelona fan, I'm gonna saddle my team 100% of the time.
SPEAKER_01Well, thank God that did us the favor.
SPEAKER_02God bless, dude. So frustrating. And it was like it was like Rafinha told all this, all their fans, right? After the they beat us in the Champions League, they said don't he see he was like, Don't worry, next round, next round you're out. That's going viral now. Exactly, because guess what? Next round you were out. Because you were not that good. You're not that good of a team. Not at all. Anyway, man, yeah. If I'm Enrique Sereso and if I'm Matteo Alemani and I'm the rest of the Atlético Madrid board, I'm starting to have really uncomfortable conversations about El Cholo Simeone because yes, he brought your team up to where it is, and he took him from almost borderline relegation to being one of the biggest teams in Europe, but now he's got to take him over the the the the final over the goal line. He's gotta take him that final that final step of winning more than they have because all this there's no more excuses.
SPEAKER_01Especially after the decisions, yeah. He's got a squat and after the decisions he made against the Arsenal game, or yeah, against Arsenal, I guess that was just Yeah. Let me take it.
SPEAKER_02Let me take all my best players off.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I have no idea how a manager would be. I thought they were all hurt. I was like, Yeah, I don't I don't know what was going through his head when when he took those guys off. I really don't.
SPEAKER_02I didn't, I don't either, but I had the same exact reaction as you I was like, he took these all these three off. I was like, yeah, they're not coming back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_02There's no way, even though they should have had a penalty in their favor. They should have had a penalty their favorite.
SPEAKER_01I think so.
SPEAKER_02I thought that was a pen, but either way, you're gonna tell me you can't score one open play goal against Arsenal? What the hell is this? That's where I get salty again. Like there were they had four shots on goal against us the entire uh duration of the two games. They scored all four of them. Yeah. Or three of them, however much it was, I don't even remember. This is ridiculous, man. So frustrating. So frustrating.
SPEAKER_01All they care about is meeting Madrid and Barcelona, dude. But now that's all they are. I think this final is gonna be good, though. We have PSD with the team who scored the most goals. They scored 44 goals, I believe. And the team that's conceded the least amount of goals, Arsenal. They've only conceded six goals. So we'll see. It's gonna be a I think it's gonna be a good game, and I think it's gonna be a lot closer than people think. I think Arteta's gonna have a good game planned down. I still think PSG's gonna win, obviously, but I don't think it's gonna be a 5-0 like last year.
SPEAKER_02No, I don't think it'll be 5-0, but I I do think realistically PSG is going to win this game. I just think they have a better team. I think Lucentrique has a is a better manager than Arteta. I think he's gonna come in better prepared, uh, with a better strategy, and he's got those those boys really believing in everything. Not that Arteta doesn't, but uh, I mean, PSG is just a hell of a team. It's it's hard to see them lose right now. It really is. I'm a big Arteta guy right now, man. Up the gunners. Up the gunners. We'll see. What is that final? May 31st, May 30th. May 30th.
SPEAKER_01Saturday, May 30th.
SPEAKER_02Final four days away. Saturday, May 30th, 3 p.m. Budapest. PSG Arsenal at Budapest, Pouskas Arena. It's gonna be a heck of a game, and it's gonna be a very exciting Champions League final. Champions League final. So we got Champions League final is set. Super excited about that. But let's get on to uh a little bit of La Liga because we had obviously some games this past weekend. We talked about it last week of the scenarios that could have happened for Barcelona to claim the championship victory. So scenario number one did not happen where you guys drop points and we win. We ended up beating Osasuna, you guys beat Espanol. Espanol still hasn't won a single game in 2026.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy. They are trash.
SPEAKER_02I hope they get relegated. Fuck them. So you guys win. We win. Point difference remains the same, 11 points. Classico this weekend. So no guard of honor. You guys don't have to do any guard of honor or anything like that. But there is a very, very high chance that we win La Liga this weekend at El Classico if we get a win or a draw against Real Madrid this weekend, Barcelona claim La Liga back to back, three out of the last four. How are you feeling about that?
SPEAKER_01You gonna watch the game or not? Hell no, I'm not watching the game. What's the point of watching that game, bro? Even if we win, what's the point of watching that?
SPEAKER_00Ha ha ha, bro. You guys didn't win the league this week. You win it next week. Cool, bro. We beat you guys twice this season and you still won the league. Oh, bro.
SPEAKER_01Stupid. No. No.
SPEAKER_02Oh man. I'll let you know. I think we're I think we're claiming the liga this weekend.
SPEAKER_01Hopefully, Floridentino Perez talks to Tewas, and I don't know, he does something with the referees, and they don't have to win this this weekend. At least leave it for next weekend. Because that'll be pretty embarrassing.
SPEAKER_02Tebas is a long life supporter of Real Madrid, so maybe he will do something. I don't think that's I don't think so.
SPEAKER_01If he was a lifelong supporter of Real Madrid, we'd have a lot more leagues during his tenure. We'd have a lot more. But I don't know. Hopefully Florentino Perez can work something out with him this weekend. Apparently, he's not going to the game, so hopefully he goes to his house and starts thinking of a game plan or something. Florentino's not going to the game. Yeah, he's not going to the game. He's not going to show his face. He knows what's about to happen.
SPEAKER_02He doesn't want to show his face. He knows exactly what's about to happen. He's like, there's no way. He has zero confidence in this team if he's not showing up. That's hilarious.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, why would he? Nobody has confidence in them right now. Why the hell?
SPEAKER_02So that leads me into the next topic because there's been a lot of reports and rumors going around of the Real Madrid dressing room just completely breaking apart. I mean, crumbling little by little as we speak. I think every hour on the hour, I see something new. Just today I saw apparently Valberdi and Chuameni got into it. Apparently, Mbappe is falling out of love with everybody in the dressing room. Apparently, out of Baloa, they're saying over 90% of the players don't trust him anymore. Help us break everything down.
SPEAKER_01They're not saying over 90%. They're saying six players in the squad have absolutely no communication with him. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. I mean, maybe absolutely no communication. I don't know about that. They at least kind of like, I don't know, talk about something. Something tactically, or like, hey, how's your wife? Something. I don't know, dude. But I think those players are Carvajal, Asensio, Ceballos, Carreras, Fran Garcia, and maybe Mastantuono, I think. Those are the players that have kind of fell off with him. They haven't had any minutes with him. Well, Carreras has had minutes with him. I guess just his attitude has been pretty bad. So bad that Rudiger has to slap the shit out of him, apparently, during uh during a trip. I did hear about this. I did hear about this. That apparently. So that's two fights. Two fights that have happened. Yes, but that was that was back, I think, that wasn't recently. That was a few months. That was a few months ago, right? But there it's just now coming to light. And I think Rudiger already apologized to him and took his family out to dinner, from what I understood. Something along those lines. I don't know if it was just Carrera's family or he took out some some of the teammate's family. I'm not really sure, but apparently they already kissed Rudy.
SPEAKER_02Rudiger has a problem.
SPEAKER_01I think he's just a little crazy. He's just a little crazy, man. A little? But we need that little bit of crazy. I don't mind that crazy sometimes. You need somebody like that.
SPEAKER_02That guy's cuckoo for cuckoo pumps, bro.
SPEAKER_01That guy's wacko. We need somebody that's scary like that to intimidate the opponents. I don't mind that. But he's intimidating his own teammates. Yeah, I don't know the details of what happened. I mean, from what I've heard is Carreras has attitude problems. So if he has attitude problems, I can see Rudiger going up to him and be like, hey, why are you talking to the coach like that and slapping the fuck out of him or something? You know? I have no idea. They haven't came out with the details of what happened for Rudiger to actually slap him. But he did. Rudiger has a temper. I mean, dude, it is what it is. He's probably our best center back. What are you gonna do? Anyway. What are you gonna do? And then yeah, Valverde and Truimeni, too. I guess they got into it as well. In the training over some foul. I'm not really sure. But Valverde has a temper as well. If you get on his bad side, that's it. That's it. But that's what happens when you're not winning titles. That's what happens when you go trophyless for two seasons in a big team like Real Madrid. And you hear so much noise on the outside, I think it just, yeah, it gets to the dressing room for sure. Especially we've had three different coaches in 12 months. There's no stability. About to be four. There's no stability whatsoever inside that locker room, especially after what happened in El Classico between Xavi Alonso and Vinny. It was just kind of like a free-for-all there. The players don't hold anybody to hold them accountable, so they can just do whatever the hell they want.
SPEAKER_02And then this whole thing with Mbappe, too, because Mbappe is off on vacation in Italy with his girlfriend this weekend while Real Madrid is still battling for La Liga, still trying to win, and he's just off vacationing. Apparently that didn't sit right, especially with the Madrid players.
SPEAKER_01It didn't. If you ask me, I can care less. I don't care, dude. We're not winning the league. If you want to go take your girlfriend out to Italy, whatever. I really don't care. But as far as like uh being committed to the team and the teammates, their standpoint, yeah, it's just it it's not correct. That's not what you do. Everybody's still giving it their all until the last match day. You gotta do the same thing. Now I know he's also been injured as well or still taking care of that knee. I I don't really know, dude. I don't know what's going on there. I don't know if he just doesn't feel like being part of the squad right now because he doesn't want to risk the World Cup. I don't know. But right now he's just not showing commitment to his teammates. So I understand why his teammates are definitely upset. But as a fan, I don't care, dude. Just if you don't play El Classico, I really don't like does not make a difference to me at all. I do not care. See you next season.
SPEAKER_02I understand that, but yeah, it's all optics for sure. It's all optics. The the best player for to many people in the world, the best player of Real Madrid. I'm pretty sure he's the highest earning player in Real Madrid as well. Yes. And you're going off on vacation with your girlfriend, you may be injured, quote unquote, whatever it may be, but your team is still out there battling. You're still mathematically not out of the title race.
SPEAKER_01It's just toxic behavior.
SPEAKER_02Potentially show that you can exactly it's just toxic behavior. It's just showing exactly why Lucy Enrique was okay getting rid of him. It's like, all right, let's get rid of this guy because he clearly just only cares about himself and how he can be better for the team rather than how how he can improve the the organization of the team on the whole, right? It's always about Mbappe and Bope and not about uh the team.
SPEAKER_01It's crazy to me how the best player in the world just can't fit with us. He can't fit with anybody, apparently. It's literally like trying to figure out rocket science. That just it blows my mind. I can't figure that out. Yeah. I really can't.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. A lot of drama going on at Real Madrid. We'll see how it all ends up at El Clasico. I think I think there will be a fight that breaks out at El Clasico, but it's gonna be between Real Madrid and themselves. I think Barcelona's out celebrating. It's gonna be it's gonna be Rudiger versus Shuamedi, and then Valberto's gonna get involved. Somebody's gonna punch Arnabeloa in the face. He's gonna get fired on the spot. Florentino's gonna fly in with a helicopter. That's hilarious. I didn't know he was missing a classically.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he is. This has to be the lowest point that I've ever been as a Madrid fan, I think. In all my years of supporting Real Madrid, this is probably the lowest point. You know, I mean the other season that I can, you know, recall having like a familiar feeling was maybe well way back when before Ronaldo and Mourinho were were even in the picture when you guys beat us like 6'2. I was terrible. That had to be tough. I was only like 12 years old, but man, that hurt. That hurt.
SPEAKER_02And then that was that was the 17th year anniversary of that game just happened a couple days ago.
SPEAKER_01Of course, yeah, you have it on your fucking calendar, don't you? You asshole. You got a little notification on your phone at 12 a.m. Yeah, it just it just anniversary. That was 17 years ago. Yeah, all right, whatever. Let's watch it again. You asshole. But yeah, no, that was a low point. And of course, when Ronaldo and Zidane left, we were pretty bad, but that was understandable because Ronaldo and Zidane left. What the hell is the excuse right now?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You went you went from winning the Champions League in 24, winning the double, won in La Liga and the Champions League just two years ago. You go out in that summer, you get the quote unquote best player in the world in Killing Mbappe. Everybody's saying, oh my God, the world doesn't have to get ready. Or what is it? Barcelona doesn't have to get ready, the world has to get ready. Real Madrid is going to win everything. There were people in the Madrid media, Edu Aguirre, and all those clowns over at El Chiringuito who are like, oh, if Madrid doesn't win a Clasico by at least 5-0, it's going to be a failure. If we don't win La Liga by more than 20 points, it's a failure. With Mbappe, it was just a lot of people. Let's talk about my boy Edward Aguirre like that, bro. We'll talk about my boy Edward like that. I'm going to talk about him like that because he's a big thing. Always talking smack, man. And then now he's got to eat his own words. Eat his own words. They were saying, oh, Hansy Flick's not even going to finish the season. Xavi Alonso's going to win La Liga. Well, guess what happened? Xavi Alonso's not even in Real Madrid anymore, and Hans Flick's about to win second La Liga title. That's crazy. I love it. I'm going to have to make a video compilation of all this. It's going to be exciting.
SPEAKER_01But you know, it's not all like just because of Mbappe. I mean, we've also lost a lot of leadership. You know, in 24, we we had the best version of Carvajal. He was definitely the best right back in the world two years ago. We had Nacho, which is leadership in the in the dressing room was vital. Madric and Tony Kros, obviously, we had them. I mean, losing those two players, that's also really hard to cope with. I mean, those two legendary players aren't there anymore. So even though we still have a really good midfield, you can't replace those two. You just can't.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, that makes that that does make sense. But yeah, you go.
SPEAKER_01The leadership in the locker room was just that that was crucial for our success. For sure. Now we don't have that.
SPEAKER_02You can clearly tell that you can clearly tell that Carvajal Hall's being petty too because he's not playing. Because there's there was that video that was going around of him making fun of Trent because he wasn't tracking back against, I think it was Betty's.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's just being petty because he's not getting playing time, so he's not showing that leadership skills anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Why the thing he's being so mad about is because the World Cup is coming up and he's not gonna be able to play. And this is gonna be his last World Cup, and he's not gonna make it. Yeah, he's definitely not gonna make it. So I that's I think if it was any other year, I don't think he'd be so pissed. I mean, he'd definitely be pissed because he's a competitive player, but this year specifically, I mean it's his last World Cup. You're telling me that he's not gonna be able to make it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I and I understand that from a personal level, but then that's where you have to be a little bit selfless and not be just put the team before yourself because it's very clear that he's putting himself before the team as the captain of Real Madrid. And as a captain, you gotta put the team before yourself. It's like I'm not playing right now, but I'm still gonna be a leader, I'm still gonna support the team, I'm still gonna support the players, I'm still gonna cheer on the players, even if it's from the sidelines. That's what I gotta do as a leader, that's what I gotta do as a captain. Even if it means that I'm not going to the World Cup. I love this club, I love this team, this is what I'm gonna do. And it's not what he's showing. And it just shows that Real Madrid is all about themselves. The players just care about themselves more than anything. How they can better, how they can improve the team themselves. They don't want anybody else doing it outside of their uh outside of them in their particular position. Carvajal doesn't want Trent doing it, and Bopid doesn't really want Vinny doing it, Vinny doesn't really want Mbapped doing it, everybody wants their own. They want to be the protagonist of this entire show. That's what happens when you get too many galacticos, man. That's just what happens when you get too many egos.
SPEAKER_01I don't think Carvajal is necessarily rooting against Trent. I just I really think he's just upset that. I mean, yeah, he wants to be playing, but I really think the major thing that has him upset is that he's not gonna be called up to the World Cup and he knows it. He knows it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He and he's not. He's not gonna he's he's gonna watch that from the sidelines this this summer. From his house. That's a bummer. Yeah. Yeah, from his house, yeah. If he even watches it, who knows? Yeah. He might go he might go ask Mbappe where he was hanging out in Italy and just go hang out there. They're not going to the World Cup either, so he's just gonna go hang out with all them. Moving on now over to the uh the Premier League table because things took a turn this weekend. Man City was really on the heels of Arsenal, actually was at the top of the table for a hot minute. And when I mean a hot minute, it was literally like maybe a minute because Arsenal beat Newcastle this weekend. Man City played Everton on Monday and drew 3-3 against Everton. And now Arsenal, again, is at the top of the league, and now it seems like it's this is it. It's a it's a wrap, unless Arsenal really somehow bottled it again.
SPEAKER_01What a 24 hours for Arsenal, huh? Yeah. Going from Monday to Tuesday. They thought that maybe they were done, they couldn't win anything, and then boom. They definitely thought the Premier League was over. After they tied against Manchester City or lost to Man City, they they definitely thought it was over. 100%. Yeah. And now Manchester City get an unexpected tie against Everton. First of all, freaking Mark Way. The race is on. Yeah, what was he doing? Did he get Bartetta? That's that's what I'm saying, bro. Did he play to better game? That was sus. That was really sus. That looked like that. That dude was betting for something. He's he's gotta get looked into for sure.
SPEAKER_02Somebody's gotta investigate Mark Guay, man, because that was uncalled for. That was uncalled for to do that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01To be really player of that magnitude and make that level of and when there's so much on the line, like you can't lose. You cannot lose. You got the Premier League to play for. And they're lucky they got a lot of things. That's how you lose points. Yeah, that's how you lose points. Yeah, man. That's if I was one of the dealers, I wouldn't play him for the rest of the season.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I'm sure he's had a few choice awards for him. I'm sure he's he's heard a mouthful already because that was it. That was it. That's the Premier League just completely That's just about as bad as Gerard's slip. Yeah. Well, yeah, that was that was bad. That that was different because Liverpool was at the they were they should have won that league, man.
SPEAKER_01And yeah, if it wasn't for that slip, they would have won it.
SPEAKER_02It was legit for that slip. That's crazy. But it wasn't even just that slip because I remember after that slip, and not to get on an off-topic tangent, but after that slip, they went and played Crystal Palace the weekend after. And I I'm pretty sure, if I remember correctly, they were up 3-0 at halftime, and Crystal Palace came back and tied three to three. And they drew that.
SPEAKER_01Wait, is that the game that Luis Suarez just he went out of the game? And started crying.
SPEAKER_02And started crying, he didn't want to show his face. Yeah, because he knew that was it. It was over. That was it. That's the one that really sealed their faith. Because if I remember correctly, they were still at the top of the table. Even after the Gerard slip, they were still, they still had a chance. And then after they drew that game against Crystal Palace, it was over. It was completely over. But anyway, yeah, I think I think that was that was a huge moment in the title race. I still think that West Ham this weekend for Arsenal is going to be very difficult because West Ham are starting trying to stay afloat in the Premier League, especially after Tottenham wins uh won against Aston Villa this weekend.
SPEAKER_01They're back in the relegation zone.
SPEAKER_02Way to ruin it for everyone, Aston Villa. What the fuck was that about? Way to ruin the fun. Way to ruin the fun, Velo.
SPEAKER_01Dude, they started off so good, and then now they're not doing as well when they were doing really hot in the beginning of the season. They're in the Europa League semifinals. They're down 1-0, though, against Nottingham Forest.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's gonna be interesting. Can they get to the final? Can Unayamity win another Europa League with uh with a different team? So we'll see about that.
SPEAKER_01I don't know, man. We'll see. Nottingham Forest is hot right now.
SPEAKER_02They are. They're trying to stay above in the Premier League. They're having a season like Tottenham did last season. Yeah. They're gonna finish like 17th or 16th, and then they're gonna win.
SPEAKER_01I think they might be but they haven't lost in over a month. Yeah, they're doing well. They're doing very well. I think they're gonna stay up in the middle. Did you see their owner getting him massage during the Chelsea game?
SPEAKER_02That guy's a crook, man. That guy's a crook.
SPEAKER_01Yes, he is.
SPEAKER_02He's something. He is, man. He's hilarious. But yeah, uh, where was I going with this? Yeah, the Premier League title. Uh I I still think Arsenal drop points against West Ham. I think West Ham is also uh getting hot. They're they're winning a lot of games, and uh and they're going to West Ham. There's a potential that Arsenal may drop a couple points, but they're they're in such a high right now after watching Man City drop points against Everton and then beating Atletica Madrid to get into the Champions League final. They're they have the momentum to go in and beat West Ham. But that's gonna be a really, really tough game for them. Really, really tough game. I think if they come out of that one alive, if they win, if they get the three points there, that's it season wrap seals it for them. Yeah, that's a wrap. That's a wrap. But yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then they play Burnley at home. That should be easy, and then Crystal Palace away. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Crystal Palace is always challenging, but Yeah, it'll be it'll be a challenge, but the the biggest challenge is gonna be West M. That's gonna be that's gonna be a real test. Anyway, interesting there. And then you were talking talk touched on a little bit about it uh the Europa League. We got Europa League semifinals as well. We don't discriminate around here. You said notten beat Aston Villa 1-0. Uh tomorrow. I know you don't discriminate.
SPEAKER_01You know what it's like to play Thursday nights. I have no idea what it's like to play Thursday nights. Thursday nights is a good night. You know what you don't you got an idea.
SPEAKER_02You know what I you know what I don't know about? What man, what how many trophies you got with this season? Is it one, two? The same as Majorca, I think. And like Osasuna and Atletico Madrid. Yep. That's cool, man.
SPEAKER_01Get it all out now. That's fine. Yeah, enjoy your bragging rights right now. Enjoy it. That's what they're for. Enjoy it. Get it all out right now. Enjoy it. Because it's not gonna last forever.
SPEAKER_00Just wait. Just wait. Just wait.
SPEAKER_02If it were up to me, keep Mbappe, keep Arbaloa, keep everybody. Don't change a thing.
SPEAKER_01Let it let it all happen. Don't worry, bro. La Sexta's coming next year. I know it is. Don't worry. Do not worry. Next year is the year of La Sexta, dude. It'll happen. You might grow you might grow a couple of white hairs when you guys do wear La Sexta. I already have. I got one right here. Don't worry about it. Yeah, you're gonna, yeah, you're gonna have to start dyeing your hair now. Yeah, choke. It ain't that bad. Yeah, we'll see, dude. Your son is gonna be your age by the time you guys get to La Sexta.
SPEAKER_02It's alright, man. I I did say that last time, too. I was like, by the time Barcelona wins another Champions League title, my son's gonna be 18. But it is. It is what it is. At least we're not going trophy less.
SPEAKER_01Just keep waiting there. Just keep waiting there.
SPEAKER_00Next year is our year.
SPEAKER_02Hey, man.
SPEAKER_01Just like you guys.
SPEAKER_02At least we're winning something this season. We won two out of four. What you got? You got nothing. You got nothing, you got nothing to brag about. The only thing you're gonna brag about is that, yeah, I don't know. Maybe Mbappe is gonna win PC again. You guys can do a little festival around that. But might not happen because everybody hates Mbappe.
SPEAKER_01We might we might just do that. And then I might get Valverde to punch him and then Rudiger to slap him.
SPEAKER_02Let me get front row seats to that.
SPEAKER_01So we'll get some MMA fights going on. That's what we'll do.
SPEAKER_02That's probably what's gonna happen this weekend at El Classico after they lose. After you guys lose.
SPEAKER_01If it's an MMA fight, I'll watch it. Why not? I wish it was Lamin there so someone can just tackle the shit out of him, bro. Hey, even without. That kid needs to be tackled.
SPEAKER_02We're still gonna beat you guys. We're still gonna beat you guys. But anyway, so the Europa League semis, Braga against Freiburg, Nottingham against Arsen Villa. We'll see what happens tomorrow. I think Villa still have a chance of winning the whole thing, but Nottingham can surprise everyone. And then over in the conference league, the Almighty Conference League, the only Madrid team that's still in the race to win a trophy this season, Rajo Ayacano and the semis of the Conference League winning one nil right now against Strasbourg. They could do it. They could do it all. That'd be crazy because Rajo is legitimately a small club. They're what Simeone thinks that Atletico Madrid is. That's what Rajoyano is. They literally don't sell tickets online. I was reading about this the other day. They don't sell tickets online, which seems like the booth? Yeah, you gotta go up to the booth to buy tickets. There was another story out there.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_02It's old school, man. That's kind of updated. They haven't updated their stadium in years. You go in there, and it's it's completely old school. There was a story that I read. I don't know if it's how true it is, but apparently somebody went to plug their phone in to charge their phone. They unplugged something else and it turned off like half the lights in the stadium. I mean, this is yeah, man. This is a team. Apparently, the the fans hate the owners. The owner doesn't spend any money on the team. It's it's crazy. So to see what they've been doing this season in the conference league has been nothing short of amazing.
SPEAKER_01We got some Columbia Legends that played there. My boy Hamas played there. Falcal played there. Yep. Legends.
SPEAKER_02Legends. Legends. Didn't work out for them too much there, but we'll see. Hopefully, hopefully Rajo does a little bit something. Crystal Palace on the other side. I think Crystal Palace, I think Crystal Palace might win the whole thing.
SPEAKER_01Ooh, that would be pretty cool. Muñoz, Jefferson Lerman.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Chris Richards.
SPEAKER_01You know that they they hadn't they hadn't won a trophy ever in their history until last year, I believe. They won the FA Cup.
SPEAKER_02No, they so they well, I guess in the in top flight football, right? Because they did win the championship a couple times. But yeah, that's that was their first major trophy, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02In the history of the city. Now they might win another one. And then not only that, they wouldn't have won the community shield against uh uh Man City. Against Man City.
SPEAKER_01Liverpool, no, it was Liverpool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. They won the community shield. And I thought they were gonna have a stellar season. And they had like in 15th. They haven't lived up to the expectation. They let a lot of big players go. I mean, look at the players that came through Crystal Palace. Eberetch Ize is over at Arsenal now. Michael Olisse over at Barn Munich, Mark Wehe, who's over uh giving gifts to Everton as a Man City center back.
SPEAKER_01Crazy.
SPEAKER_02They've let go of um pretty big players, and then their their manager, Oliver Glasnier, I think he got pretty pissed because they were supposed to get him the right backup, the right players, and I think what really pissed him off was that they let go of Margway and they didn't really have a replacement. He was like, I'm done. I'm out of here after the end of the season. So he'll be he'll be done. Curious to see what obviously. I think yeah, I think he's done. He's he's completely done. He said he's he's done with the with the club. This is his last season, so he's had a great spell with him. Obviously, won the FA Cup. And we'll see. I think they I think they have a pretty good shot at winning it, and that'll be pretty exciting for them if they win a European title.
SPEAKER_01So gotta support the Colombian brothers.
SPEAKER_02Yes, sir. Dani Munoz and Jeff Jefferson Lerma.
SPEAKER_01Best right back in the world. Daniel Munoz.
SPEAKER_02Hell yeah, Dani Munoz. Absolutely. But yeah, man. I think that about wraps it up. Oh, uh, Inter won Serie A. First title under Christian Kiwu. They dethroned Napoli and they win the Escudetto for the 21st time. Shout out to Inter Milan.
SPEAKER_01Seria is exciting, man. There's never or there really hasn't been a back-to-back season that a team has been. In a while. In a while since Juventus, I think. Which Juventus was winning it like.
SPEAKER_02I mean, they won like eight seasons in a row.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they won like eight eight seasons in a row. You're right.
