As a caregiver, from time to time you may feel paralyzed/trapped, it may seem like you have nowhere to go. Especially when it seems like everyone is getting on with their life, while you are “stuck”.
You must not be your spouse’s caregiver, you can walk away from it all, but you CHOOSE to be his caregiver. Notice the subtle difference in those statements. But it makes a huge difference in how you feel and how you show up as a caregiver/spouse.
All I am asking you to be aware of your thoughts, and how they lead to the way you feel and the actions you take.
