Cobalt Digital Unveils New openGear Cards: Frame Sync, Dante & 2110 Solutions | IBC2025
At IBC 2025, we speak with Suzana Brady from Cobalt Digital about the latest openGear cards and solutions, including their quad-channel 12G frame sync, auto changeover bypass protection switch, and Dante embedded cards. As one of the founding partners of openGear, Cobalt is showcasing its extensive range of products, from fiber cards to 2110 support with the Indigo bidirectional gateway.
Cobalt’s Sapphire product line continues to offer top-selling up/down cross converters. Suzana highlights two key cards: the 9904, a 4K one-channel card that supports HDR conversion, and the 9905, a 3G quad-channel card designed for static conversion. Suzana also discusses the addition of 2110 inputs to their longstanding openGear encoder and the ultra-low latency decoder for real-time applications.
