In a way, Amsa blames herself for what has happened. Back in Cameroon when they were refugees, her son, Lawan, wanted to remain in the country and work for his boss. But his elder brother, Musa, had died there after a brief illness and Amsa saw it as a bad omen. So, she insisted everyone return to Nigeria.
Four months later, Lawan went missing.
